Discontinued Daisy vaporizer by Triihouse

I am eagerly waiting for my new Daisy to arrive. I typed concentrates on the search function and only found a few postings. I find that most ppl use this as a flower vape, not so much for concentrates. Tommy, I was wondering if you put more thought into concentrate use. Maybe a oil pad like the one for the volcano or herbie. Since Daisy can reach temps to vaporize oil, how are Daisy users trying shatter or wax? For Kief, mister g just sprinkles and tamps down on top of the flowers (according to his post). I prefer not to put a dab on top of flowers, but will if that is the best way.

You're right there's not a lot of talk here about Daisy with Concentrates, I've used Kief, that's about it. I don't have access to good quality wax or shatter, and I don't want to put my dirty reclaim inside Daisy, I use my nasty banger for that.

Although it is in the context of the Lily, Tommy recently posted in the Lily thread about how his new modifications to Lily (which is contributing to delayed customer deliveries right now) had a lot to do with gaining more control over temperature and higher heat for concentrate use. CLICK HERE to read it.

Edit: @mixchu69 the way a lot of FCers use concentrate without a bed of flowers is suspended in wisps of organic cotton then placed into the bowl. I think somewhere in this thread someone reported doing that in their daisy.

Really enjoyed taking my Daisy camping. She performed great. Didn't use the other vape on the trail, just threw Daisy in my pack and wondered off the trail into the woods to enjoy a sit down session surrounded by nature. It was very cold, around 37 degrees. I experianced some issues with my jet lighter. It was having problems lighting/staying lit. I had to take it out of my bag and carry it in my pants pocket to keep it warm. After about 10 minutes in my pocket I didn't have any more troubles. I was very happy overall with taking her as a portable. In the near future I am ordering a pelican case either a 1120 or a 1150 with the pick and pluck foam for a storage solution. Right now I still carry it in the box it was shipped to me in. It works ok for now, but isn't the optimal protection she deserves.

It's hard for me to envision purcasing the Daisy as a designated concentrate vape. It's just not the right design for it and why would you even want to use it for this when there are much more appropriate vaporizors for that pupose?

Don't get me wrong, I love my Daisy and it get's used heavily 95% + of the time. It is an awesome vape for flowers, but using for concentrates (other than possibly keif or sandwich) is crazy talk.

Versatility and it might turn into my favorite way of vaping concentrates. It's probably my recent preference towards concentrates (but I always mix it up, sometimes only concentrates, sometimes only flowers). I know it's designed as a flower vape, but you never know the potential and versatility of the Daisy unless you try. If it performs great with concentrates, Tommy might get some new customers who dabble in shatters, waxes, and oils.

Something like the oil/concentrates pad that comes with the volcano might be useful in the Daisy

But you guys haven't used the Daisy yet. You'll see what I mean when you get yours.

The inlet is probably close to 5" from it's open end to the bottom of the bowl. Obviously a lot of trial and error went into it's design, and it works great for it's intended purpose. Oil soaked cotton would probably work, but there are much more optimal choices. I wouldn't have super high expectations.

The Lily, on the other hand, MAY be a viable alternative. IDK because I don't have mine, but maybe TF, VO and Kimura could add real life experience to the discussion?

Did I mention that my Lily is in the mail?

Would someone please give the dimensions for the Daisy. I've read the complete thread and don't see them listed. Not listed on their website either. I'm leaning towards the Daisy but wanted to compare the physical size to the Lily. Someone had posted the Lily dimensions at 4" long (w/out mouthpiece) x 2 1/2" wide and 1 1/8" thick.
Thanks for all the great reviews as it looks like one cannot go wrong with either!

Did anyone order a Daisy from the UK and have issues with delivery?

I've ordered a Lily and its been sitting in Customs Clearance for 4 days and I wondered if any Daisy customers have had a similar experience.

I'm in the US and my Lily is lost. Was supposed to be delivered last Sat., delayed to Monday, was "Out for Delivery" yesterday morning but never showed up and the tracking today on USPS just says "Delivery Status Not Updated."

Very annoying, I hope it wasn't dropped in the 6 foot snow banks by the mailman. :uhoh:

I have not had a delivery come on time for the last 45 days, they blame the weather and snow on the ground. UPS and Fedex must be dealing with enormous amounts of claims for missed delivery date "guarantees".

My Daisy is 88mm long, 86mm high and 43mm wide. The heat intake sticks up a further 51mm when inserted. How far the neck sticks up and out depends on which way you insert it and whether or not you use the mouthpiece. The tube itself has an outer diameter of 50mm.

Thanks for the these and the dimensions for the Lily as I just realized were from you on the Lily thread.

I understand the height will be different as to which way the bent tube goes in . What I'm not clear on is if the width is 43mm , how can the outside of the neck/ tube be 50mm?

It's really not that much larger than the Lily. I guess it just looked larger in the pictures and videos that I've seen.

I have this mental image of an open Triihouse box sitting on a desk and a couple of customs officer staring down at its contents thinking "WTF is this?"

Hello Everybody. I am Brenna, owner (and founding member) of Triihouse. I recently joined the FC forum. I just addressed the Lily thread and thought I would share that post here since it is all relevant:

Hello and Happy Tuesday Everybody!

I am Brenna, owner (and founding member) of Triihouse. I joined to forum to help Tommy while he is so busy in production. If you have any issues, concerns, or comments feel free to send me a direct message on here or contact me via e-mail at brenna@triihouse.com

Although I have been a spectator for a very long time, this is my first post here on FC!

I really want to start by saying thank you! Thank you to all of you for your awesome support. We got our start here on FC and you have stuck by our side.

As a company Triihouse is in a state of growth and with that comes a few growing pains. You all have been so patient and understanding. You have rallied around us as we adapt to a new pace (and learn a new computer system.) We could not be more appreciative.

We have a lot of plans for the future. Tommy has a number of models currently in prototype form, on paper, and some that are still just coming together in his head. (And YES some of those are water toys! :) Actually there are a few water related goodies coming up in 2015, the first of which should be out in or before April)

I assure you that we are working hard to get your orders to you to as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. Triihouse vaporizers are all hand crafted. All of the glass and stainless steel components are currently made in-house. We understand the pro and cons of this situation and are working towards adapting as necessary. However that adaptation is not an overnight process.

This is also the reason we have not been able to release a video as of yet. Videos, updated instructions, and updates to the website are all in the works.

I know a concern that is mentioned often is the price of international shipping. The reason that shipping is set at Priority International is because that is the most affordable option that includes both tracking and insurance. At this time we feel that it is the best option to protect both us and our customers. We have been discussing what our other options are (and soon you should at least see a UPS options as well.)

Another topic that has come up is exotic wood. Tommy has been looking into different types of wood to find which will work best. We are excited about the possibilities!

We will of course keep all of you updated when new things are happening at Triihouse, and you can feel free to follow us on Twitter, IG Facebook, etc... to see a little more from us and get to know us a little more as well as get in on some behind the scenes action.

You have all had such wonderful things to say about Daisy. I have truly loved reading this thread (over and over again) There have even been moments when your kind words and positive experiences have moved me to tears. We spent a long time developing a product that we thought you would all love. It is very cool feeling knowing that you all lover her as much as we do!

Thank you again for all of your support!!

I'm just thinking of all the crazy designs that they can come up with involving wood, glass and a few strategically placed magnets.

My mind is blown. It just dawned on me that there really is an infinate number of ways to vape weed.

The human Rhesus Monkeys must work overtime in the Triihouse R&D Lab.

This sounds like it's going to be kind of an expensive future for me.

Hey Brenna, how about financing?

At the very least, please release new models very slowly for the sake of those of us who crumble to temptation.

I am sitting here completed enamored with this vape. The level of extraction impresses me every time I use her. I just wanted to thank @TriiKLe & @matte green for a great performing vape built here in the U.S.A. Not only IMO does it outperform every convection vaporizer I have tried. I can feel good about using it. I know it was made from start to finish with the vaporist in mind. It really is a beautiful functioning piece of art. The idea of a option for a exotic Daisy

just got Daisy tracking info. Very, very excited.

Edit: just noticed something on my paypal account. A REFUND of 10% from Tommy for the wait. Appreciate it. And the wait was only a week! I like this company even more (I'm a fan of outside the box thinking) and this shows that they really care about customer service.

Here's a picture of my Triihouse Vaporizer family from my photospread in the Lily Thread.

I have tried SO MANY vaporizers in the last 2 years and have to say that Triihouse is among the best of the best IMHO and urge those who have never tried Butane torch vapes to give these a consideration if you're at all curious. I have not tried a Lotus, Genie or Vapman as others have, but with these two, I don't even feel the need to explore them, plus my VAS is outta control and must be stopped.

I got my Daisy a Cherry MP to go along with my Walnut/Maple two tone Lily.

[Edit post has expired, hence b2b]

I did something reaaalllllly stoopid

I've been using my new Lily quite a bit, but today went to give Daisy some love and accidentally covered the top hole rather than the bottom one (used my Lily finger positioning, muscle memory I guess)...this resulted in....combustion. :cuss: My own damn fault of course. I cleaned her up but will have to suffer through some poor tasting vapor for a few bowls before it gets fully purged.

So warning :spidey: do not use that upper hole as a carb on your Daisy.
