Ooooohhh.. Different colours!!

Edit: I've never paid any heed to it tbh.
I'll do so for the next few days and report back.

Thinking about it.. I've only ever let it run right down to nothing once.. Once it was red I usually jammed it on the dock. Probably not the way to ensure the best longevity but meh!

Edit: I've always preferred using it in AC mode anyhow. So much lighter.

2nd Edit: I always amazes me how easily I find myself forgetting the power of this thing. By that i mean when you MV a basket straight on red through a WT after going a good while having exclusively walked your way up the colours, it just re-amazes me all over again.:haw:

Still loving the bigger clouds using th small SS decarb ring and the Teflon top!!
I am sure this will be even more amazing out of a WT!!

Spent the last two days with this setup. No discernible hit to taste at all, didn't know what to really expect because I had the decarb kit installed as a whole before and could tell the difference taste wise, so this was a welcome outcome. And as for the cloud difference I see it, not huge, but you see it and feel it, especially with third and fourth and beyond draws.

I've noticed I've coughed more times with this configuration at pink temp and my typical glass straw setup than before, which is fine, buzz wise and the fact that the vapor temp doesn't feel any hotter.

I'll probably stick with this heater core configuration.

Almost there...

Exactly!
It is there if you know your way around the MiniVap, subtle but discernable!
Another reason i like this setup is because the steel large ring just falls out of my unit!!
So upside down use is always a challenge and a PITA!

Another new setup.
So, I wanted to test a new miniVAP before sending it out but did not want to contaminate the whip. I assembled the flexicone plus whip and then:
used one of my standard whips (MFLBwhip and Ratchett Song adapter) as an extension to the stock flexicone plus whip.
Used with empty basket to make sure it was heating up.

I then tried this longer whip on my unit with bud and it does cool it more than with just the flexicone plus whip or just the MFLB whip.

If you have the Ratchett Song you may want to experiment with this.

Been using my all glass mouthpiece from the Air with my MV. I use the flexicone with the large basket, with the cap. So the flexicone/basket is dropped in, then capped. Once to desired temp I just put the aa mouthpiece over the opening on the cap, and press so there is sorta a seal. Huge blue delicious clouds.

You do have to use two hands, but I hit and pull off like using a evo.

I'm sure solo stems would work as well. Just another delicious way to use the MV. IMO

Had a small chitchat with Jorge about my ordering for the GCmV Core.
I asked him for different colors since i have a black one, my favorite is red.
He sayed that they only sended two prototype red units to the bloggers so far and sadly had it not on production.
After all i was able to change my silver unit into a green.
I like that !!! :) Now again the waiting game... :disgust:

Good and fast communication Hermes, keep it up !

Edit: ...on the way to his new home :)

Can't wait to try this on Saturday courtesy of @lazylathe! STOKED is an understatement.

What I have found. I'm first time user since yesterday. Heat to red an then lower to other temps. U have to inhale alot of air an fast pull hard. I have the Teflon core. Flavor I must admit insane i'v only really hit it green an red those are clouds. I'm getting decarb kit made right now so waiting. But Def have to rip minivap hard inhale lots air but zero draw resistance. Flexicone best. For some reason flexiclone+ for me hasn't worked great. But Teflon mouth peice plus Herbie whip the best

I have spent some more time with my GCmv. Wow, this thing absolutely NUKES herbs. It is certainly not a pure convection unit, rather it appears to provide substantial conduction and radiation as well - very similar to the mighty/crafty. Had me wondering last night if this thing was actually designed to go head to head with S&B's latest offerings. I know some people really want instant vapor, which the lovely pure convection TCmv does not always provide. For anyone wondering, my GCmv basically spanks my Crafty in terms of extraction performance and effects. Taste is comparable as long as I stick with pink...

At this point I have no use for red and I only use green to finish a session. I may look into turning down the heat on this unit.

New TCmv core is on the way, which will probably keep VAS in check for 2015.

You folks using the Herbie whip - are you using the entire length? I find the vapor completely cool but lacking some flavor so I'm thinking about shortening it...

Hahaha...I do. That one's at Hermes getting ready to be shipped back in the next couple days. When it's back I'll actually have two normal miniVAPs!
Question for you (or anyone else in the U.S.) who has had to send their MiniVAP to Hermes. What mailing service did you use, and how expensive is it?

I just tried it with a VXL basket for the Cloud Evo and it works great. The VXL baskets are a little smaller in diameter than the MV baskets but for some reason once it's fully pushed into the adapter, the VXL basket won't drop out even when the adapter is inverted.
Genius!

My favorite combo. Please let us know your experience with the decarb kit, especially with that setup.

Edit: to kimura, yes flavor tends to fade a bit. But cool vapor with good taste beats the best tasting hot vapor dry. I wonder what length would be perfect for the tcmv.

I have hi end vapes cloud, herbalizer, enano, ssv, solo ceramic. This thing is something else. Barely any material big clouds on green an red tcmv. Use herbalizer whip Def works way better. I used Teflon mouth peice took big rip on red huge cloud was coughing for min.
So you can get big clouds from the Teflon? I'm still not sure! Glass or teflon?

It's an obsession but it's pleasin'

I priced DHL first, which is the carrier Hermes uses. I think I was quoted somewhere around $80 to ship from the west coast. I finally chose USPS Priority Mail International which cost me $37 from Oregon.

It took 8 days to get to customs in Spain but then I never got another tracking update. After waiting a couple weeks I contacted Hermes and they said they had it even though tracking didn't show delivered. I wasn't real happy with not knowing it was delivered to Hermes. I'm curious how others have shipped theirs too. I will probably have to do it again one day.
