Will be back today with first impressions of this:

PB-NAIL-Q-DDB-2T.jpg

Pukinbeagle Quartz Limited Edition Deep Dish Banger (20mm coil)

and

this:

D-INSERT-SAPH-INFINITI-4T.jpg

HE Infiniti nail with D-Nail sapphire insert and flat coil :D

The latter is going on my small tasty dabs rig and the former is going on my Pyrology recycler for big tasty hits ;)

Yes, I have a second D-Nail arriving today too! So much excitement up in here!

Here's some epic footage of the deep dish banger and a huge dab!

this enail is very interesting, it has 3 year on the heater and one year free replacement on the coil. but its from canada.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/CUSTOM-WOOD...843?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item4ae54f1bdb

they even have one that includes a controller, mp3 player, bluetooth. the thing that sucks about him is how he has "best offer" where you can submit the offer you want, but he only will give you a $10 discount, and just from canada its 26$ shipping to the us...... saying other offers are too low since its a "high end enail".....

Just seasoning my Infiniti now before using the sapphire insert! :D first impressions will be here soon.

For now, where to start?
IT5QVJE.jpg

Edit:

Ok first impressions are in. It is difficult for me to type this because I am somewhat dabbed out from testing my new toys. I am still fiddling around getting temps right. It was a MOTHERFUCKER to bend the 20mm coil to the right angle to sit on the deep dish banger but it sure does create the clouds! Jesus tapdancing Christ!

The infiniti and sapphire has just been seasoned, and after my first few hits of various waxes, absolute shatters and nectars I am finding myself very medicated, and potentially leaning towards the sapphire over quartz at the moment!

EDIT: I've dialled in the quartz to that magical temp now :D Check it out! Dab is Cannatonic

Amazingly epic set-up, mate. So many toys to choose from! :ko:
I LOVE your video of the banger. Looks awesome.

So, which nail would you say your prefer now with some hours use behind you?
Now that is a tough question still brother! I have definitely got the quartz down and it is amazing, definitely the best nail I've ever used - too bad they don't make/sell them any more! (limited edition).

The sapphire is actually tastier, however I do not have a proper carb for the Infiniti and the one im using definitely leads to escaping vapor and such.

Also I didn't fully season the nail properly... Gonna clean it right up and start from scratch today I think!

Hey does anyone know if the standard highly educated carb cap with flat tip will perfectly carb the Infiniti, allowing me to leave it on top of the large dish with sapphire inside?

Anybody make an enail built into a working PC tower yet?
D-CUSTOM-DNES-2.jpg

Nope but there is this to keep you busy ;)

Edit: I gotta say, D-nail have such incredible service! Got in touch with them about my carb cap question on the Infiniti and they got back to my message within minutes; having tested the very same carb cap on the same nail and sapphire setup to confirm that it fits and stays on without holding the carb in place.

Now to get my hands on one of these carbs lol

It will not.

The UniTi cap will work fine with it tho.

Cheers bro.

Strangely, I just got word from D-nail that it will, with the sapphire insert too, they just tested it themselves. I am specifically talking about the large dish of the infiniti, not the small dish which I believe the standard carb cap will not fit.

Do you have the nail? I am curious now because I don't wanna end up with the wrong cap!

I do have that nail and it WILL fit but the cap goes down too far and will make contact with your coil causing crazy temperature drops. The UniTi doesnt go down that low.

I really havent been that impressed with the Uniti nail in e-nail configuration. I bought the enail body and I also bought a flat coil to use it "as is."

Screech or Hands or whatever the guys' name is from HE knows about this too.. he's the one that recommended the UniTi cap.

Oh damn! There is nowhere nearby to get such a carb cap from so to buy a UniTi will cost me twice as much with US shipping! I should have just gotten it from D-nail with my other new toys!

Edit: I only use the flat coil, not the barrel coil. Does this make a difference or do you find it to be an issue both ways?

Also would it be possible to get a pic of your infiniti with flat coil and the standard carb cap on top?

I dont have mine in that configuration right now. I have the Auber nail back on mine. Ill set it back up and take a picture for you as soon as I can tho. Ill have to see if I can find my other cap, I took it out of rotation because it was hitting the coil.

I was under the impression that the "Auber" nail was a knock off Infinity nail. Same size dishes, etc. My HE cap fits that perfectly without any coil contact. I'm not sure why his cap touches, but mine doesn't. :2c:

Pretty much every cheap ti multi joint nail is an Infiniti knockoff ime lol, could you supply a pic too if possible? :-) it'd be sweet if we could get pics of your nail and carb and poopmachine's ones too to document the difference if any :D

Best i could do. It's close, but doesn't touch.
Cheers bro! Nice pic!

I wonder, do you guys have the center threaded part of the infiniti at different heights above or inside the center hole of the nail dish? This would effect where the carb cap might go down to on the sides if the center thread protrudes above the center hole, stopping carb from going down as far ;)

I thought about that too. On the underside of the cap, there is a "shelf" around the inside that sits directly on the cup. If you were to change the height of the center thread, the cap would indeed be higher, but it would rest on the top of the thread and not create the seal that it does now. Also, that threading is your intake, don't wanna plug it by resting the cap on it.

I have the HE/Auber knockoff nail also. Gone thru the same issue with carb caps, keep hitting the flat coil and temp goes wonky. I have since switched to the glass essential oil dish that came with the Arizer Solo as my carb cap and have very little temp drop/overshoot(couple degress either way)drop, but obviously not a long term solution and it takes a sec to make a perfect seal(gets harder to do the more medicated I get).

My favorite enail/carb cap setup has always been the Errlectric nail and Vortex carb cap. Perfect mate, no touching the coil, makes great seal for superior low temp dabs. I am not dropping the $$ on the Errlectric coil and nail + Vortex carb cap. BUT, I have found a solution. I borrowed my buddy's Vortex cap and mated it with the "smaller" dish that comes with the Auber Universal nail---Perfect fit!!! It only "rests" on the top of the nail, so you may want to hold the cap by the dabber part so it won't fall off. But when I use it with said friend's Errlectric setup, it fits thier nail the same way. It makes a great seal. but it is rather prone to coming unsettled if not held by the dabber part of the cap.

The cheapest I could find the Errlectic Vortex carb cap was $55 from
http://waxlifebrand.bigcartel.com/product/errlectric-vortexcap
It's normally $60 direct from Errlectric. If anyone can get them cheaper drop a link here.

@420time --Shit or get off the pot!! :p
Pull the trigger already, man. You keep posting links to enails that are almost identical in parts, buy one already.

Maybe @DieHard can post a pic of his nail and Vortex cap to help me pass the time till my cap arrives lol

I have not yet seen a nail/carb cap combination which beats any pukinbeagle quartz nail with any pukinbeagle quartz carb cap. They are flawless! :D

If you want quartz that sounds like a good setup(costly but very nice). But I'm trying to work with what nail I have, and unfortunately not a huge fan of quartz nails.

So true brother, they cost a fortune! lol I learned that again when I recently broke my 20mm DI nail from PB.

I am not a fan of quartz nails with torches actually. My recent experience back on the torch while I waited for new nail/s to arrive strengthened this view. Quartz does not distribute heat very evenly, which can lead to really inconsistent results, especially with a torch which will be inconsistent anyway. Quartz is hands down tastier than Ti, but on the torch, I found myself sticking with Ti because it is easier to get more consistent results.

Still, high end quartz on enails is incredible. Tastes almost as good as it gets (beaten out by ceramic and sapphire IME and from what I hear, SiC is also better tasting still) whilst providing more durability than ceramic, an even tastier material. Still, it seems like good functioning quartz enails are few and far between, I have read so many negative reports on so many different quartz nails, usually due to design flaws leading to uneven vaporization and pooling of oil in the nail.

The Deep Dish Banger is another level of sweet for dabbing on quartz. The convective chamber below the dish definitely seems to give me even better vaporization at lower temps than my DI nail with nectar collector did (and this was an excellent performer)! :D

I don't dab on Ti enails directly (ie: without sapphire) because Ti definitely does not taste good enough for my flavor snob sensibilities, even when perfectly seasoned. Still, I can imagine plenty of contexts where it might make sense to stick with Ti.

Silicone carbide (SiC) is the one to watch I think. It is meant to provide the taste of ceramic with better durability than quartz (way better!) :leaf:
