Here is a pic. Poor quality but you get the idea.
Basket will only work inserted concave, ie. flat side down. It is about 10 mm in. Andy said new batch is good. Have one on the way.

What happens when you push the screen too far? It just falls into the GG joint?

I think they mean to put a clip into the GG joint, to prevent the screen from falling though. Just let it sit on top of the clip. It's too hard to tell from your image if that will work or not though.

Yeah the heater actually touches the edge of the screen and can very easily push it through.
Yeah, a clip underneath might work, but one more thing.

How about a domed screen? I used to use one to prevent my nano screen from going too deep and to collect dust/resin.

A clip isn't that expensive to fix a broken GonG until you get a replacement (if you do, :p). Your local hardware store should have the correct size. Or keep it for a concenrate GonG, which a clip might actually help keep oil from running down the sides, :hmm:.

I think I just talked myself into getting a clip to try, :D.

A link or pic for said product?, I have a really good old fashioned mom&pop hardware store.
Rare these days. It would be a tad awkward explaining just what I need.....

Sorry, but just to warn you - that piece would be overkill for vaporizing. If you used that, your vapor would have absolutely no taste. You *could* use it, but only if you filled enough water to cover just the bottom perc

:2c:

Yup. Hell, I even lost taste going from my SC Tube to a D020-D which has TONS less diffusion that that Roor has.

A great combustion tube does not make for a good vapor tube and visa verse but it is a nice looking piece of glass.

I've never had a screen fall all the way through from stirring, but they do get loose from time to time. I just stretch them out a bit with a dowel. Pretty sure 1/4 is the size I use (haven't measured but it is a standard size from HD/Lowes). Put screen on end of dowel (it should be very tight), put that down on block of wood, couple light quick hammer taps. Then force screen in using smaller dowel or pencil from other end (GonG end). Squeezing it tight to dowel with small hose clip before hammer will keep sides a bit straighter. Screen will seem too wide, but if keep even flat pressure it should go straight in. This won't work with all GonGs but most. Screen will be a bit wider and much tighter, but can also fit in from nano end with a little wrestling.

Other ways to stretch them, too. You'll notice they get looser with use. This is just them getting bent inwards a little. Give them a stretch and they tighten right back up.

The Nano is my first true plugin vaporizer. Since purchasing it, I have had no desire/need for a new plugin vaporizer - it cured my VAS (the quest for a portable vape continues).

Note the vape is great, but customer service can be trying at times to work with. Be prepared for that (nobody is trying to hide that fact). They'll ultimately take care of you, but you might need to do a bit of nagging through multiple channels (email, PM's, etc) before you get a resolution.

Reading the past 50 pages should give you all the info you need on how to use it, and comparisons to some other vapes (including the solo ).

Also @Enchantre posted a great tutorial over here - http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/e-nano-from-epicvape.7844/page-346#post-679463
I had 2 GonG's in a NANO with a FC187 ĢDP!
OK I use a Chasen and it works better.

The SOLO I use a lot with my D020!

I have a few HEADY bubblers I use às well however their made in California!

It is the depth that is the problem, not width. The basket is very tight, till pow.
It has never occurred when stirring, only with the weight of the nano.
Andy has fixed this and I await a more ajustabowl gong.

Well which piece would you recommend then? I'm looking for a all in one piece which I can smoke out of from time to time with friends, use it with the nano & also be able to put ice cubes in it.

At the end of the day no matter what you are bound to lose some taste using water path.

After an epic search for the right Claisen, I have purchased one for testing purposes.
Fingers crossed that the clearance works out! It is called a Kontes distillation 4-way adapter, and all 4 joints are 14/20 ( In case this confuses you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ground_glass_joint ). Good thing I already have a 14mm stopper for the 45 degree side joint!

Ima tell you like many here told me. Its a staple to many here and I love mine from personal experience. It might not have all the mumbo jumbo youre looking for, but it definately does the job.

Bought a walnut nano on Saturday to replace my EV-2.
I loved the ev2 but I wanted something smaller and a little less bulky to sit on top my grav labs piece.
Needless to say I'm expecting awesomeness!
Can't wait to get it. I'll be sure to leave review after I put it through its tests.

Thanks again FC.

I noticed someone else finally got a response and replacement for the sub-par gongs. I sent an email to nadia@epicvape.com and no response. This is how it seems to go. Hopefully someone will see this.

Sorry we don't usually work on the weekends and I was in a car accident Thursday so my week was cut short. Needless to say I am a bit behind. Not to worry your email is on my list to get to asap!

I fell in love with this vaporizer from the moment I laid eyes on it.

Reading through this thread just blows my mind. It's so tiny, so simple, yet so efficient.

Youre not exaggerating my friend. When I first received my nano I was in Awe. It looked much more beautiful and so much smaller than the pics I had seen.

then when I cranked her up and tasted her first vape I was in total bliss. In fact, because of the small amount of herb that the nano uses and the precision it has, I am able to vape everyday. It makes me so happy, I feel like dancing. And I dont even dance.
