Just an update: I had problems with my Powerex 2700s. After some detective work, it was clear the problem was not the charger, and not the LB. It was the batts. All 4 of them. Thet were replaced and work great now.
This is why I only use the stock Batteries. I am still on the original stock powerex batteries that came with all 3 of my boxes almost a year ago. All are like new in function.

Hello all im always reading but never post, but something caught my eye. I too have noticed that my PA isnt heating like it used to. I move the battery thingy around in the box and in some points the light gets brighter and in others it dims all on the same power setting. Ive also noticed two ring like grooves starting to form around the battery thing where it meets up with the rings. It still vapes great and ive used it allot daily for the last 4-5 months now. just my :2c: :peace:

I've been having the same issue not sure whats going on with it. I use my box and PA everyday and I'm finding it annoying when I don't get the heat I want out of the PA. Even on full blast the PA is like a battery after the frist pull. I've een tried to get the load to combust just to see if could, and it didn't. But if I wiggle and twist the PA battery around then the power comes back up. Like I posted before all the conection and PA battery parts and tight. So what could be causing the power loss????

:ninja:

All my connections are legit and tight, as well as the actual nipple. Wont combust even if i wanted to... definitely not as hot as it used to be. Hope it wont get worse. Also whats up with the concentrate adapter?? I want! :peace:

Hi all
Can any Canadians recommend a place to buy batteries? I've tried amazon and it says that they can't ship the powerex 2700's to my destination in Ontario.. I can't find the same product on the Canadian site.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

GonG (or glass on glass) is a laymans term for a peice of smoking apparatus that facilitates ground glass joints. Ground glass joints are a two part set (innter+outer) that create an air tight seal. They come in sizes ranging from ~8mm upward of 200mm, but ones used in smokeware are usually 14mm and 19mm ("18.8") .

Hey guys,

I bought my first flight box about a year ago, and my second about 6 months ago only because I gave my old one to a friend because I wanted a new shiny one!

There is one thing I can not emphasize enough, this vape goes, and goes, and goes, and goes, and goes, and goes and goes and goes. It is a f*ing trooper if I've ever seen one. I have used this thing everywhere from movie theaters, cars, horse carriages, steam rooms, gyms and just about everywhere else you can think of. This thing delivers time and time again.

Surprisingly enough I always find myself brining too much herb along on day-trips with my MFLB. Its as if I continually underestimate its ability to get me medicated. Though I have come to learn if I have a fresh trench IN my box, I need only carry enough for one or two more and I am set for an entire day. I find the usual 1 bat-per-trench rule works well, but it can be stretched if you are in need.

I recently shined a light in my daily driver box, and also in my old "Backup" box. I know for a fact that my DD box has seen 2-3 times the use that my old one has, so I was curious to see if there was a noticable difference in residue and buildup inside the box. I was surprised to find that both of them looked nearly identical. This was very reassuring, especially for the long term life of the box.

I use to clean my box religiously after every use, namely to try to reduce the buildup on the support bars under the screen. I thought this might deminish the efficency of the box, though I read on the Magic Flight website that this is normal and doesn't effect use. I finally just let the bars build up as well as the corners of the box. I give it a good brushing out every few trenches, as well as a blow-out every trench. In my mind this is almost similar to how many asian restaraunts only lightly clean their Wok's so that the spices build up on the pan over time and create a flavor specific to that restaraunt. Your box will slowly over time take over the taste of the majority herb you put through it.

I also must speak about how wonderful Magic Flights customer service and warranty is. My first box's charger fried after about 2 weeks, I sent them an email, and within 1 day they had not only emailed me back, but my new charger was in the mail on its way. I dropped my second box on concrete and broke the lid, same as always Magic Flight responded to my email within 24hr's and my new box was on its way prior to me mailing in my broken one.

Magic Flight is a great company with a phenomenal product, everyone should have an MFLB.

WOW :o

- this PA is absolutley amazing! from the min i plugged it in i was getting beautfully thick vaps! i didnt think my MFLB was capable of delivering this kind of vap- i already loved my MFLB dont get me wrong but this PA has brought this unit new level :ko:
-if i had gotten my MFLB and PA first i wouldnt have bought any other crap and could have saved alot of money!! ahaha The staff over at Magic Flight really know what there doing and care about the product and US the customer!! (my order was shipped fast and packed with care  )
-still trying to figure out this WPA - it will come with time im sure- think the tube i got is to big -12" beaker with ice catch - ended up with 2 stems for my tube the 1 on it was to big (ended up fitting my EQ elbo's will experiment with that later :D) and got a 14mm stem for my WPA- thinking maybe a smaller bubb type would be better-
-Just so hyped about this PA !!!!!!! dont hesitate and get one- your not getting your flight boxs full potential- puts the batterys to shame! It fits perfectly- no more pressing hard on your hands!- nice little button turns the power on and no need to take out the push ring in my click-lock model - get thick milky hits like having a fresh batt every hit!!!

Well enjoy everyone!!! gotta go get my ABV brownies out the oven :p FUCK COMBUSTION

That's actually my back yard. You're looking at a slice of Biscayne Bay shot from Miami Beach. Pool deck at my apt bldg. Very funny you guessed a cruise ship bc they dock about one mile away from where I was sitting, near MacArthur causeway, in the port of Miami.

I put my lb away for a while, was using my bag blower. You forget how impressively the box performs. I've had it with me most of the day. Really nice.

Cheers

I'm a little concerned about the PA losing power as previous owners have posted.
Vapor assassin says all connects are tight and still gets weak power. I had an
issue like that, but it went away after I did the paper clip tighten the ends of the
battery insert thingy.
I guess some of the posters will have to send their PAs back for replacements. :(
My PA is a year old ? and works great. It does have a strange and wonderful faint
vibration when it is on. The silver battery plug feels almost as if there is a weak
force field around it when I touch it, strange but cool.
And yes the vibe is there before and after I'm vaped. :ko:

I bought my BETA PA on the 1st day it was made available.
I had no trouble ever, and love it. On Friday evening the power weakened and was slightly intermittent.
I emailed Magic Flight and asked whether it was under warranty since it was a BETA.
I use it daily, and have since day 1.. so I do know about paper clip.. and all the troubleshooting steps.. but this was different.
Magic Flight emailed me immediately with a couple of suggestions... but I discovered the cause..
folks add to your list of troubleshooting steps...
*Dog hair in the powerstrip, if your powerstrip lays on the floor with outlets facing upwards!
I plugged into a dusty, dog hair covered outlet, and was treated to a round of poor connectivity.

Hi all, first time post here. Got the MFLB the other day and plugged in the charger with the supplied batteries and then there was a steady red light on both slots. I read somewhere that flashing red means charging. In most of the chargers I own a flashing red usually means defective cells. I looked online as I did not get any documentation about the charger specifically. I looked up a old PDF version which I'm not sure if it is referring to a older charger or a newer one like I have. Mine has the MF logo but basically looks like the Tenergy charger which I am assuming is just relabeled for Magic Flight. Anyhow the PDF states that the lights don't really ever indicate when the cells are fully charged so I am confused. I have put in an old cell in with the wrapper still on and it flashed red. I also saw the LEDs CAN turn to a green color but the PDF does not state green led color for anything. I went through pages and pages on here in this thread and also on the grasscity site and nothing is ever stated about the charger itself. Would be great to know as I don't even know how this charges batteries and what level termination is set for this charger. It is nice and small but if it is a dumb charger I won;t even bother using it since it seems the cells get super hot compared to my Maha C9000 Wizard One and La Cross BC900 NiMH chargers. Any thoughts on the MFLB charger and what the LEDs indicate etc. Thanks 1828k.

Also the MFLB demos I watched on Youtube show a charger with flashing green LEDs that are small round LEDs. My charger while still having the same MF logo, had larger rectangular brick shaped LEDs that stay red or flash red, but I saw it flicker once when removing a battery cell and saw it is a bi color LED as it flashed green for a nano second. What charger do I have and does the green LED ever light up to indicate anything?

Another thing is the guy that is considered a guru for the MFLB (Is he part of the company?) JDBuzzworthy or something... EDIT JDSupreme... takes a few hits in several videos in which he blows out thick smoke and then a hearty cough. The many references on Vaporpedia state you do NOT want to see vapor exhaled as that is wasted vapor. The irony is this JDTacoSupreme is giving a video of micro hitting but blowing out thick vapor which is a direct contradiction to what you want, but he is the go-to guy on the Magic Flight Launch Box. I'm seeing too many inconsistencies here. What's the deal?

1828k, I have an old charger so I can't really help you there.

You can certainly get lung busting hits from the box. its all preference on your hit sizE and technique.

either way, I love my box and can't imagine anyone being disappointed unless they have unrealistic expectations from the unit.

I believe you have gotten an old version of the charger.. or more accurately an older charger.
My guess is that you bought your MFLB Kit from a seller that had a number of Kits in stock from a prior "set"
That is not to say that your kit or box or charger for that matter are inferior.
I have seen older chargers that had red LED.
Does your box have the "ball joint latch" to hold the lid locked?
the box will work well regardless... that is just the kind of product that this is.. but it also serves as a reminder that to get the most current revisions, it is wise to shop at Authorized Distributors.

Inconsistancies.....
JDSupreme is a helluva guy. What he is... and what he represents is "everyman"... a guy not too old or too young that loves his box. The fact that he has with time and use gotten his technique to where he likes it makes this "everyman".. JDS a fine spokesmodel. Perhaps you misunderstand....
Microhit means that each "sip" is tiny.... but you don't follow each hit with a "micro exhale"!
You take and collect a bunch of micro hits.. collecting them all in the lungs.. then when you release that big cloud..... you are actually releasing 20-30.... even 50 microhits at once.
:hmm: :science: :haw:

I think you haven't considered what JD is trying to do in those videos. Those are demonstrations and if he didn't exhale something, his videos would be flooded with comments that the LB won't actually make vapour. There are people who think that the LB can't really make enough vapour to satisfy them, and I for one specifically asked JD to blow out some clouds to prove that it can. I'm also the one who created the Vaporpedia entry so if you need to blame someone for inconsistencies then I'm your man.

pakalolo,
@1828K: Well I call FIE on vaporpedia for my personal experience, because I find that if I have any sort of accumulated tolerance that I absolutely need clouds to get medicated in a reasonable amount of time. Yes, you could take miniscule hits off of any given vaporizer and then hold them in 20 seconds a pop. You could even be a total nutbar and exhale it into a volcano bag and then reinhale it. But if you aren't forced to go to such extreme length to stretch every cent then it's really just unnecessary, and the real aromas and effects of vapor are best enjoyed, for me, in big, satisfying lungfuls, held for say 7-15 seconds. I'm often more concerned with getting where I want to be quickly than stretching every last bit - I'm very exited about the Cloud, naturally.

JD can use jedi MFLB technique to pull big clouds, and you'll find that with a little practice and info you can pretty quickly get to that point. What you're calling an "inconsistency" is better thought of as a separation of opinion among vaporizer users.

Thanks for the replies guys! To answer a few questions regarding the charger. I'm almost certain it was the standard $119 Magic Flight kit just sold by an ebay store for less. It is also the newest version with the click lock lid and everything included is in the regular Magic Flight bundle. No I didn't get extras or whatever, but I got what I still think is the newest version if I were to have ordered from Magic Flight directly.

Can someone post instructions on the charger function as I went through all the supplied documentation that came in my tin and there was a single folded 8x10 page describing the Launch Box use, a smaller glossy multicolored book mark sized card and I think a couple smaller scraps of paper but nothing specifically mentioning the charger light indications. As I said in my first post I am able to tell this charger's LEDs can turn green, but reading the Vaporpedia (if that is where I remember reading that the charger normally functions as a flashing red LED meaning it is charging and then there is no shut off or indication that the charger is done charging) I am a little confused as all the old videos show a charger with small round green LEDs while mine is rectangular and red.

EDIT: I just double checked and put in known bad cells and it does flash red in that situation but steady red is charging. When you first plug it in with cells already installed it takes approx 2-3 seconds before the LEDs light up. They first stay a steady red for a second and then the red fades and you see a steady dim green on both LEDs for a second and then it goes back to steady red. So there is proof there is the ability to turn green for something, but for what, and when? I just put in 2 Powerex 2700s I charged full in my Maha C-9000 so they are definately full but popped into the MFLB charger I just get steady red LEDs. I'm not wanting to cook my batteries just to find out but I have no clue. I have superior chargers to use regularly anyways, but still I'm a curious sort and want to know how this supplied charger is supposed to work and oddly enough it almost seems I'm one of the few people ever asking a question like this since the beginning of the Launch Box going back to 2009 or maybe even before that. How are you people that do use the supplied charger know when your cells are full or maybe this is why people are commenting their cells are dying prematurely which would make sense if people are overcharging them which will definitely kill the battery way before it's 500-1000 recharge cycle lifetime.

EDIT #2:

The supplied charger is indeed a Tenergy charger. Still looking for info on indication of LEDs and if the green LEDs actually ever come on once charging is complete.

I think C-9000 is a superior charger compared to the MFLB stock one. If I had one of these I will use it instead of tthe stock one.

Looks similar to the Sanyo charger MFLBs come with. I have a Sanyo and it has flashning round green LEDs when charging and solid green when charged (no light when no battery in). At the end of the charging batteries are warm like just used in the box and are charged. Found out your model is called TN142.
http://www.tenergy.com/01142

I read there it has the same (or almost the same) characteristics as the Sanyo charger. I just can't see any difference other than different LED indicators.

LED Indicators:

No Battery: LED Off
Charging: Solid Red
Fully Charged: Solid Green
Short Circuit: Flashing Red
Reverse Polarity: Flashing Red
Non-Rechargeable: Flashing Red
