Never was for me, and I used one for years -standard connection, just connect and rotate the wand a little during your hit to spread around the heat, then remove-very easy setup IMO.

yeah ive done the garden today and now i am in agony my spliff isnt helping much although i know without it i would be suisidal lol (dont worry im ok)
but ye concentrates oh my god! yes amazing but the cost of getting them !! ouch
i also have a persi at a friends house only small not enoguht to substain my relief, but when making concentrte we used somuch and ended up with so little (which explains cost)
so i am down to using what i can get easyiest ive been on darknet etc too but cost and risk,
but , the ssv can do both concentrates and bud, and also be converted to a bad station i believe, so i guess this is my chosen atm vape not too bad, and i hear somthign about using water pipes and a different wand if u want to change it up a little?
after a few weeks of having the ssv my aim is to get the plenty, and then get another backup llater on,
does this sound a good plan?? would you do this?

I've been through a few vapes over the years and the SSV is a solid choice.
Have you looked at the LSV? Only $140 refurbished.
IMO, it's a bit more versatile than the SSV or DBV, but has the draw back of not coming with a stand. But you can make your own with some wood.

They are just "blemished" units, not refurbished, Ive had a few blemished units from them, never an LSV though. Hard to find the blemish, usually.

The stock SSV doesnt really do concentrates well, though you can mix some crumble or kief in with your bud. You can, however, purchase a separate concentrate kit, including a titanium nail, for wax dabs and such. It requires replacing the heater cover. IMO, if you need a big blast of dry herb to get medicated very quickly, the SSV is hard to beat. Rather than the Plenty, I would complement the SSV (or LSV) with a log vaporizer like Underdog or Enano, to help conserve. For concentrates, I think the Persei with the Herc sr74x is the way to go.

A log vape is more efficient, because it can only heat a small diameter bowl. But the ssv can be made to be this efficient, with the mini wand which basically offers a log-sized bowl. Stock ssv wands have much bigger bowls in them than you could heat with a log vape, this is the difference.

And even without the adapter, the standard ground glass wand stays put for the most part.

If you do decide to get a volcano they're on sale at Masssdrop for the next few days. I'm happy with my Underdog and every time I think about getting a different desktop I compare it to my log vape and decide I don't need another one.

I would say very good choice, or Da Buddha Vape, if u wanted to just save a little $. They r BOTH VERY AWESOME VAPES which will allow u to blow clouds!
1st time i used my DBV, i 'thought' i wasnt getting high for some reason, and b4 i knew it, about 20 mins. later, i was sooooo medicated! Had me like 
. Had to just lay down the rest of the night! 
Now ive noticed vape hits take jus a min or 2 longer to kick in... AND also, u can vape concentrates out of a DBV also... TRUST us, flavor wise and pretty much EVERYTHING wise, you will NOT be disappointed w a SSV or a DBV! You will be STOKED!

You could check with them, to see if the model they are selling has the new clamp or the old shim system holding the heater cover in place.
