I would guess that the problem is that some bud is getting stuck to that corner and not moving when you shake it. If it becomes stuck to the screen and you continue to vape it, it will combust. Make sure that when you shake the box after your hit that all of the material comes off the screen.

check the plugin where transformer plugs into unit for secure connection.
There are 2 small holes at either end of the PA "battery surrogate". us unbent paper clip or other similar tool to stick in holes and attempt to tighten.

I already made sure that both end of the fake battery are tight. All connections are tight. Could the push back ring be a problem? I have a warranty box coming I'll have to check the light in that one. But i'm feeling like its running at a lower power. Is there a way to test the out put?

Does the MAH rating indicate the power they put out, or their length of usage? Will I get more heat, or will they last longer, I guess is my question. The answer is probably both Im assuming?

mAh is a capacity rating. They last longer.

I love my PA more than anything, but I really wish they added some sort of indicator for the % that you are at.

I totally agree with you on this one. Or a numbered wheel would be nice.

So I finally made the leap and got a MFLB today for 90.00 at a local shop here in Seattle. Holy crap this thing is amazing. I am so blazed right now from this little guy. I will never use a one hitter or a combustion small pipe again. I was debating between the MFLB and the Arizer Solo, I am glad I went with the MFLB for my first purchase as I was looking for something very portable, discrete, and odorless. This thing gets you so blasted for what it is. I am super impressed. Thanks for all the tips and recommendations everyone.

I liked the fact that the MFLB was wood, like my old dugout. That seemed to make the jump from the one hitter easier. Been using the Box 2 years now, been vaping 3, haven't smoked even once since.

I am the Dungeon Master of you.
Ok! Ive been working my Magic Flight Launch Box(MFLB) for a couple weeks and was pleased with it from day one. It was a no brainer to purchase the Water Pipe Adaptor(WPA) and the Power Adaptor(PA). I bought the MFLB to act as a WISPR backup and it has shined.

Today, my MFLB accessories and my warranty WISPR replacement arrived all at once. Wicked haul!

I need to stress how much easier the PA made using my MFLB. I have 6 batteries I have been cycling through(2 stock and 4 Duracell 2450) and found the batteries best by the third or fourth puff. The PA allowed me to set the heat to that third puff sweet spot. I have combusted with the PA a few times today but you can blame my experimentation, max power really cooks lol! I plan on marking the dial at 1/3rd and 2/3rds with something visible. 1/3 seemed like the power I preferred. I am concerned that the power socket on the heating unit does not sit centrally in the bored hole that seats the plug but it functions fine and has a lifetime warranty some am not going to act on it yet.

The WPA is a more difficult purchase to justify. It seems to have a steeper learning curve than the MFLB itself. It is cleverly designed but because it barely cradles the MFLB(and doesn't hold it in place at all) when combined with the larger glassware we mated it with things were almost too clumsy to use. The bong was a 24 inch unit Psyclone Gear with dual cyclone chambers. The process would be greatly facilitated by some kind of connecting tube(like a very short stem tube?) but the actual WPA requires consistent pressure to hold the MFLB in place, then we had to pinch the PA for juice.... All while balancing a 24 inch heavy glass bong. Am I missing an angle here?

Oddly enough by using a friction o-ring seal to hold the WISPR in place the WPA actually was easier to use with it than the MFLB.

I would suggest the PA to anyone using an MFLB. The WPA seems worthwhile but I will practice more before I am convinced either way. I am planning to try a smaller bong next. I also plan trying it with batteries so that the PA isn't pulling the MFLB off the very small perch. If you plan on purchasing the PA don't forget the car adaptor option!

The MFLB has performed beyond my wildest expectations. It was purchased as an emergency back up and has moved into primary vape spot. It is versatile, stealthy, clever and solidly built. Wow. Before you dismiss the MFLB because you are concerned about batteries make sure that you factor in the PA since it reduces your battery consumption anywhere with available juice.

My next mission will be figuring out how to operate the PA fom my 5400 milliamperes/hour solar rechargeable(wind too!! Off the grid friendly) I-Go battery system. I am concerned that my WISPR won't be able to hanldle backpacking in the pacific northwest if I plan on any hikes above 4k elevation... If it works the MFLB will have proved itself again.

Thanks for reading!

Hello all im always reading but never post, but something caught my eye. I too have noticed that my PA isnt heating like it used to. I move the battery thingy around in the box and in some points the light gets brighter and in others it dims all on the same power setting. Ive also noticed two ring like grooves starting to form around the battery thing where it meets up with the rings. It still vapes great and ive used it allot daily for the last 4-5 months now. just my :2c: :peace:

Magic Flight Launch Box + Percolated Bong? (merged)

Hi all! This is my first post on this forum, so hello :)

Details on the Magic Flight Launch Box water pipe adapter is here.
Here is the combination being used (the bong is very similar to the one I'm going to get).

I love my MFLB, and upon seeing this add-on I was very curious to hear about peoples' experience. I've heard that the toke is very smooth, almost like a nice tasty mist. Here is my question:

I want to buy a bong (similar to the one in the video mentioned above) for $35, ~6-8" tall, 14mm diagonal downstem (no 18mm adapter converter necessary), ice catcher, and percolator. I know percolators help filter out smoke, so is it redundant to use a percolated bong with the MFLB because it's vapor not smoke? Keep in mind that I MAY occasionally smoke out of the bong too (and clean it WELL), but mostly use it with my MFLB. Or should I just get a regular bong with ice catcher?

I don't need scientific empiricism to answer my question, I just need someone with "experience" to explain whether one could use this MFLB + percolated bong combo and still medicate just as effectively than using it with no percolator or just the MFLB regularly.

One of my girls goes for the stealth Ed's TNT shorty stems while still remaining at the height of fashion
while the other likes to display her "stemware" in a more grand way!

Just an update: I had problems with my Powerex 2700s. After some detective work, it was clear the problem was not the charger, and not the LB. It was the batts. All 4 of them. Thet were replaced and work great now.

The area on the adaptor where the wire connects to the fake battery is very fragile. If you carry the adaptor around, the connection of the wire to the battery will come loose and will no longer carry a current.

Have you noticed this with just the Power Adapter, Car adapter, or both?

Just the Power adaptor.

I use a C-Pap for sleep apnea. I recently bought a portable battery for my C-Pap so I can go camping with it. Imagine my delight when I plugged in my car adaptor to the portable battery and hooked up the Launch Box. Power Adaptor hits in the middle of the woods!

Hey guys, I've been lurking FC for over a year now and obsessively reading every page of every thread on every vape (what can I say, it's an addiction).

I thought I'd post some MFLB porn as my first post on here. I've got some nice glass photography-wise, and it's time to put it to good use!

More kudos for the folks over at Magic Flight. I ordered a couple of glass stems over the summer that fit just a smidge too loosely in the LB. So I dropped the people over at MF an email and, just like that, they're sending out two new glass stems at no charge to me. They don't even want the faulty stems shipped back to them. What a company!

How old were the failed batteries, and how much use did they get?

I have had my MFLB for many months now, I don't use it very often at all due to my collection.
But lately I have been reliving my clubbing days attending some parties that I used to be a regular at years ago.
My launch box has become my vape of choice for these evenings spent on the dance floor, hiding in my hand without a stem I seem to love to hit it native. So very pocket friendly I don't notice it on me until I'm wanting to use it
Very much considering investing in a c9000 charger to get the most out of my batteries

I've been having the same issue not sure whats going on with it. I use my box and PA everyday and I'm finding it annoying when I don't get the heat I want out of the PA. Even on full blast the PA is like a battery after the frist pull. I've een tried to get the load to combust just to see if could, and it didn't. But if I wiggle and twist the PA battery around then the power comes back up. Like I posted before all the conection and PA battery parts and tight. So what could be causing the power loss????

Of course you may. It usually doesn't grind much finer than that though, so my usual technique is grind to that consistency, take three hits, and regrind into powder when the bud is a little dryer. I think "my bud is too dank to grind perfectly the first time" fits squarely into the realm of first world problems :).
