quick question, would this bong work with the WPA?

http://www.grasscity.com/us_en/glass-bong-6.html

I know the WPA is a 14mm taper but this is 14.5mm. I don't really know too much about glass-ware items and the lingo so i apologize if this seems like a dumb question. I'm essentially looking a bong that would work with the WPA and is real cheap, seeing as how this would be my first bong purchase and if it broke then it wouldn't be too big of a deal. Someone on FC had already shown me this one,

http://www.gogowholesale.com/pipes-glass_water_pipes-gogo_clear_glass_on_glass_water_pipes.html

but i've heard mixed reviews about the website and people never getting items so im hesitant on buying that one as of now. Links to any other cheap bongs that would work with the WPA from a legitimate website would be greatly appreciated!

I just ordered this one which is much like the first one you linked: edit

Other small ones: more edit

I've heard that this shop isn't recommended to people outside of Europe btw, not sure why but it could have something to do with the long time it takes to get there.

Like Pre Stoned, I keep my PA at approx 30%
Nothing beats the flavor or experience of a "dozen shake" trench.....
one that takes 10-15 minutes to finish at a very low power.....
the sweet intense pungency could drive a "meds man" insane!

Hrm. I thought I was keeping my PA low at 40%, but it appears I'm not as low as I thought.

The first time I used my PA I went from one extreme to the other and counted the notches. I came up with 10. (What have others counted?) Next I set it at the halfway point and put a reference mark on that notch. I checked the brightness of the light and decided that this setting was close to the brightness of a fully charged Powerex 2700, so that's where I started, but I immediately discovered that with that setting and using my normal technique, I was dangerously close to combustion. I then backed off one notch, which I estimated from the brightness of the light would be equivalent to the 2700 after 2-3 hits or so. That's where it is today.

LIke others here, I chose that setting because I prefer cooler tastier hits. I can keep the button pressed without approaching combustion, and I barely inhale (think pyronym's technique). I was pretty happy with this until I read here how many people are at 30%. More research is needed!

kewpcer, thanks for the suggestion. I've been hitting this thing with a mutli-meter within arm's reach ever since I got it, and the idea to use it to test the PA never occurred to me.

pakalolo-
My mark is exactly at midpoint as well (clear nailpolish dab only I can see.)
I count close to 10 notches, but have counted as many as 13!
I will take a High Def photo later and count!

Yeah, I just recounted and realized what I called a notch is not one of the actual notches, it's how far the dial moves when I place my finger next to the dial, insert a fingernail into a notch, and push down. The movement isn't a physical notch, it's closer to two, so my actual notch count turns out to be 18! The percentages work out though, because using my method I consistently get 10 "notches". I really did have mine set at 40%. I dropped down to 30% and don't see much difference, but since increasing the power inevitably reduces the life of the light, I'm leaving it there.

So, are you guys letting it heat up any before you start hitting it? I'm so used to letting it heat up when using batteries.

Any updates on the oil attatchment? My MFLB has been sitting dormant ever since I discovered errl and I'd really love it if I could introduce the two to each other!

I love my PA more than anything, but I really wish they added some sort of indicator for the % that you are at.

Here you go Mr. College student. Mine got lost in the mail lol for a few weeks, but others have received it fairly quickly. Customer service is a pain but can you really complain for $20?

http://www.gogowholesale.com/pipes-glass_water_pipes-gogo_clear_glass_on_glass_water_pipes.html

thanks VapeNStone, thats exactly what I was looking for lol. cheap, simple and gets the job done. any comments about how yours is? do you have a WPA for it too?

I have that very same pipe and it does get the job done. My order arrived fairly quickly but I've seen other people had some trouble. If you are willing to spend $50-$60 on a bigger one it's probably worth it, because I have no idea how long this one will last but as long as you are careful it shouldn't break. It is small so you won't be getting gigantic clouds but I've been able to get some decently good sized rips so by no means is it TOO small, for $20 it's a good deal IMO for people on a low budget.

When using the water adapter (highly recommend getting this if you have the PA) I use power setting around 60-70% and take small sips every few seconds rather than a slow constant draw. This makes it easier for me to get bigger hits. Anything over 80% is too much of a combustion risk for me. When the trench starts to brown I crush the bud again and lower the PA to 50-55% until its cashed. I'm interested in trying some lower settings like 30-40% since reading the comments about how it brings out a lot more of the flavor, the only thing about that is I can't really see myself holding my breath for that long or breathing so slow.

What are some different items you guys find useful for marking strength indicators on the power adapter? Vitolo mentioned nail polish, and I've been using whiteout for marking every 25% increment, but it's starting to wear off.

BirchMFLB,
Woohoo! Finally took the plunge and bought my MFLB. I got it for what was the lowest price I could find.
$95.99 on eBay. Seller looks legit and has 100% feedback.

I need something portable since my Extreme Q doesn't really fit in my pocket. I'll consider this an early Christmas gift from me to me. Can't wait to try it! :D

alright guys, something weird happened.

i left my lb in my studio last night, and it seems to have split from the cold/humidity? I have ventilation running 24/7, which maintains the outside temperature and humidity level, and it seems we had a wet, cold evening last night.

the wood is now wider than the plexi top, and a large sliver is missing from the top.

I really dont see how this could have happened. :uhoh: :(

If i vape for awhile the unit gets hot. The metal chunks inside(that bar arm behind battery and the lip flange wind around thru it. Maybe it cooled too fast in relation to the wood?

At least it has a lifetime warranty!

Hey people. I think that my PA is not running as strong as it should and was. I'm still getting vapor but when on the highest setting the light isn't as bright anymore. has anyone else notice a power loss in the PA?
any ideas?

check the plugin where transformer plugs into unit for secure connection.
There are 2 small holes at either end of the PA "battery surrogate". us unbent paper clip or other similar tool to stick in holes and attempt to tighten.

Ive been thinking about buying some new batteries recently.

Just a quick quesiton beforehand.

I bought my box a while ago when they were still coming with eneloops. I bought Imedion 2400s shortly after and really enjoy them. I did notice a bump in the heat with the 2400s as compared to the 2000mah eneloops.

Does the MAH rating indicate the power they put out, or their length of usage? Will I get more heat, or will they last longer, I guess is my question. The answer is probably both Im assuming?

My stock batteries pooped out after 6 months. I found a pack of 4 Duracell AA rechargable 2450mah batteries in the photo dept at Walmart for $10.88 tax included.

Oddly, it was the last of these in the dept. I stashed them behind another pack of batteries and went home to research them. Turns out, they have a low online rating because the users couldn't be bothered to read the directions. You are to charge them before using. Often, photographers buy a pack of these for use in emergencies. Then, they complain when they take them out of the pack and find they don't last very long. Again, these need to be charged before use.

How did they perform?
I started peeling the cover and it practically fell off - used a dab of paint thinner to clean off the adhesive
Using the stock charger, one battery lasts me all day long.
Much stronger batteries than the old stock ones...Vapor pours out in a little over 2 seconds
Very nice...cheap...and available down the street

I have had my batteries for one year and eight months. That's quite a long time of constant use, but they still work. Just not as well as I would like. They also seem incredibly weak compared to my PA. I'm glad you posted this. I am going to get a pack of these this coming week. Thanks for the detailed review. :D

just ordered my WPA - PA and car adap. (No real need for car - batts have been more than fine)
- we could use a C-9000 thread/ further imput needed
- super excited about the WPA (main reason for entire order) cant wait to vap on something serious!! see some real bubbly vaps!!! (JDs videos have pushed me 2 an WPA- i need those vaps!!!)
- side note- have really fallen in love with my MFLB - after learning a solid hit method- have really gotten some tasty vaps!!! (oderless by no means!! discrete OH YES!!! can vap this thing anywhere but if i leave it in my automobile it REEKS something serious - so portable DEf - a ninja smoke method? - to a certain extent-yes but stay on your toes you are still rolling the dice)
- I own an EQ and have found my MFLB a great way to really TASTE my buds. I let my EQ vap my trench leftovers to a nice consistant brown- which i then use to cook! ( my first cooking was with olive oil and 23 grams of poo! turned out great!)
- Anywho super excited about my new toys on the way!! will get back once they get here!!
- been super happy with my box thus far (3 months deep-heavy smoker)Magic Flight all the WAY!!!

MFLB Burn Mania! (merged)

Hi all I got my MFLB the other day and for a while things seemed ok. But now I keep noticing that it will burn in the front corner. I've tried cleaning it out with iso but not sure what else to do. Was thinking of getting the power adaptor to even out the temp but can't find any european headshops that stock it and to get from magic flight direct in states would cost $59 for item + 11 import tax + $37 delivery + 11 royal mail customs holding fee. Does anyone else have this adaptor? Can they confirm if I can set to a low temp that vapes but does not combust?

Thanks
