Vito, what a great story!

They already did. I was just so used to them giving me instant responses back in the day. It was still pretty damn instant lol.

Got a question I'd like to pose for Vito, JD/the other regular WPA users. How do you go about cleaning your waterpipes? I just bought my first one ever, so I have never cleaned one before. Do you treat it the same as a waterpipe that would be used with smoke? There's definitely a small amount of smell that sticks with it, but overall it stays pretty clean. I noticed the downstem / actual WPA reek pretty badly.

I tried burning it off. the melted plastic smoked and smelled bad. I did this for a while but couldnt get rid of the smell.

that was a month ago. I warmed up the LB today and Im not sure if I can readily detect a plastic odor anymore. However there is still a smear on the screen where the plastic melted onto.

My question is, do you think if I keep on heating up the LB then all the chemicals from the plastic will be gone?? Ive already flamed it (with a lighter) for a little bit. is this enough heat to get rid of the plastic residue??

Hi,

First off, your warranty is valid in a case like this, so if the smell does not clear, then you need to get a replacement. Otherwise, I would suggest trusting your nose. The smear on the screen is not the issue. The main thing is to ensure that all of the plastic has been reduced to carbon. Carbon is harmless -- plastic is not. Enough heat will eventually convert one into the other. However, if there is any smell of plastic, you may want to try more heat. A good burn (empty) with the PA -- for about 3 minutes -- would be especially good for this.

One bit of advice regarding smell -- try sniffing first thing in the morning, before eating or brushing, etc. It will likely be more sensitive then.

On Wed. and Sun. I put about 4oz of 91% Iso in and shake it for 60-90 seconds. Rinse, then its good to go. It doesn't build up anything even close to what a combusting bong looks like, but not letting it build up in the first place makes it really easy to keep it in "like new" condition. The glass part of the WPA can be cleaned with iso and a qtip

Was just watching a couple of MFLB videos on youtube and noticed something I never had before - some people's batteries go into the left side of the box instead of the right side.
On Vito's videos and also a couple of other ones, the battery/PA plugs in on the opposite side to my own and the one I saw in JD's video.

Is this a change that's now present on all new MFLBs or is it requested by left-handed users or is it even just random?

Not a massive issue I know but I'm just curious..

Thanks a lot homie. I know I've read salt + iso in the past, is the salt not necessary for the vapor pieces?

Thanks for the help!

The salt (which doesn't dissolve in iso) is just used as an abrasive to knock stubborn resin off. If you clean your vapebong on a regular basis it will not be necessary.

I seriously cringe when I see someone combusting out of a really expensive piece of glass.

I have to say that after being a LONG time MFLB user, I pulled the pushback ring out and now get stronger hits, even when it was making a good connection in my walnut launch box. I am using the same NEW powerex 2700s and they are noticeably stronger without the pushback. Yay launchbox :)

It also has the side effect of me no longer developing "raptor claw" just trying to use my vape.

Is there an equivalent MAH to compare the power supply to if that makes sense? I've been playing with a lot of other vapes and neglected my MFLB for a while, but I'm back to continue using this thing when I am on the go and away from my car where I can plug in my underdog.

Feels good being back :D

The h in mAh stands for hours, so mAh is a measure of capacity, which of course is infinite as long as the PA is plugged in. I think you want to know if any battery can deliver the same punch (amps) that the PA can, and the answer is no. To give you a comparison, my PA seems to be the equivalent of a newly charged Powerex 2700 at about the 50% setting. I have never turned it up 100%. When I first got it, I started at 50% and went up one notch (10%). That was enough to give me black ABV with a nasty, almost burnt taste. I have no doubt another notch would cause combustion in a really short time, and I backed off to 40%, which is about the same as a battery after 2-3 decent hits.

Thanks Pakalolo very good description of what I was looking for. Sounds like I may have to get a PA after all eventually.

I found something hilarious today. Searched for DIY magic flight launch box, there was an instructables post on how to make one and in the comments I see "Just spend the $100, it has a lifetime warranty FFS!!!!"

Who was the poster with this wise and true advice...none other than our very own Cluffy haha.

I got spotted yesterday in public for the 1st time "taking Flight"!
I was in the supermarket rolling in the scooter... store was crowded. I was rolling and hitting the box, casually.. not in full stealth mode... (I have gotten lax!)
Lady walks up to me, and looks shy....
"Is that one of them E-cigarettes"?
"Yes it is.. a more basic one that vaporizes the herb instead of ejuices."
"I pay to much for cigarettes"
(Vito, shakes the box... lady looks at the top of window)
"Is that Medical marijuana in there?"
"Yes.. I do it in public... If these fuckers want to pack up my wheelchair, pay for all my pills for the night, and my food.. let them throw a 60 year old disabled fucker in jail.. My wife could use a night off!"
" Wow. You sure speak frankly. Will you help me find a doctor so I can get my MMJ card"
"You bet I will"
"Will you help me learn to use a box like that for my Medical Marijuana when I get my card?"
"You Bet I will!"
She has my phone number, my card, and an MFLB flyer!

Vito, you really do so much for everyone, it's amazing and really inspires me. You are one of the most valuable resources on this forum, and it appears that you are just as valuable to your local MMJ community. It's people like you that will change public opinion of Marijuana, one person at a time. Thanks for sharing your love and knowledge of the herb everywhere to everyone. You know for sure that if the unfortunate did happen and you got locked up that your friends here would take care of you in no time.

The last set of glass stems that I bought from Bissville fit too loosely in my LB. Anybody else experience this? Is there anything I can do to the stem to increase it's diameter?

Thanks in advance!

Problem with the Launch Box adaptor.

I really do love my launch box especially with it's adaptor but I have found one problem with it. I go on the road a lot and want to take my launch box and adaptor. I even have an attachment so that I can work it off my car's lighter. However, I have found a problem. The area on the adaptor where the wire connects to the fake battery is very fragile. If you carry the adaptor around, the connection of the wire to the battery will come loose and will no longer carry a current. I even devised a carrying case so that I can carry the adaptor around without stressing the wire connection. It did make the wire connection last longer but eventually, the connection came loose. This has happened to me three times now! It is not just an anomaly. Luckily, Magic Flight stands by their warrantee and has replaced the unit for me each time but this is an issue that needs to be resolved. The Launch Box is my favorite portable and is highly affordable. However, the adaptor should be portable too. At this time, it is not.
Has anybody else had this problem? Has anybody found a solution?

Nah, that's a monologue piece from There Will Be Blood, edited to suit my love for Magic Flight.. It's just me messing around, I figured somebody might eventually think I really meant Over 9000 mAh and that I had 100 batteries.. haha but no, I don't have a PA or 100 batteries, more like 8. I'd snatch a PA right up if I had any disposable cashflow right now..
Cheers, happy flights to all!

Hey everyone,

just joined FC but i've always come here first for any type of MJ related info since you all seem the most educated/experienced. I finally joined because I need help and figured you all were easily the most qualified consultants. I have a MFLB with a PA and love the deadly combo but now im thinking about getting the WPA and a water pipe to go with it. My big problem is, I'm on a college budget so this new water pipe would need to be less than $100. suggestions?

Glass does not have to 500 dollars. I would recommend buying used, but other members on here swear up and down on EHLE and Rxindustry tubes since they are US blown. They run you about 50-70 dollars. You could also put a silicon bumper on your stem to make it fit.

Here you go Mr. College student. Mine got lost in the mail lol for a few weeks, but others have received it fairly quickly. Customer service is a pain but can you really complain for $20?
