First vape, need some help

Hi everyone,

I actually search for a portable vaporizer around 130 dollars. I would like to know what is the best vape for this budget, and i prefer a pen style ... I heard about the Imag+ and the flowermate and i saw a lot of critics on Youtube but i don't know if there are some better vaporizer for me, it's mainly in order to use outside or in travel and i love to have a good taste with a lot a vapor.

I live in Europe and the Solo is very expensive, my budget in euros is 130 so in US dollars it's like 140.

So i have the vaponic.. i prefer a rechargeable battery :/

I just want something ( i prefer a pen ) who works and have not a terrible taste

Sorry, you won't find a true pen-size vape for dry flowers, it doesn't really exist at this time.

The best vape you can get for your budget and portable needs is a Solo. Buy one used, they're tanks compared to many portable vapes on the market. Check the classifieds on this site, there's always one popping up for cheap.

I saw one in almost new condition for under $60usd on this site just the other day.....

How is a used Solo for $60 us dollars beyond your budget? :hmm:

You said you have $130 to spend. I ship stuff to customers in Europe all the time, it doesn't cost $70 US to ship anywhere in Europe unless you want overnight shipping


You could buy a cheap off-brand vaporizers that worn't work and waste your money. Or buy a reliable working vaporizer which will last years of service and save you money in the long run.

Can i have your website in question ? The arizer solo is not inconspicuous for me and I'm afraid that the glass tube quickly breaks :/

Does Craigslist exist in your area? Search for "craigslist": if it exists, you might try searching online for a used, cheap vaporizer there. Good luck and best wishes.

You want tooany contradictory things. You want a discreet pen vape for dry herb under $130, shipped, with good taste and solid vapor production. Discretion does not come cheap and pen vapes have terrible taste.

A used Solo from the FuckCombustion classified section is the best quality vape in your price range with rechargeable batteries. If you're willing to give up your batteries the Lotus and VaporGenie are great deals. The hand carved VaporGenies look like regular tobacco pipes.

Well stealth is something else all together. A good working stealth vapes is pretty hard to find. the PAX is pretty stealthy, but expensive and not sold internationally

I use the Indica for my Stealth needs, but it's above your budget

If you really need low cost stealth vapes, you need to consider going with a concentrate vape

You can easily conceal a Solo, review the Solo thread and you'll find a few solutions. You can also buy wooden stems from @Ed's TnT if you're prone to breaking glass. With a cheap used Solo, you would have plenty of money in your budget to add stealth and wooden stems

Everything said: I've read a lot of positive reviews of the Flowermate, I wouldn't dismiss it totally off-hand without having used it myself since a few long standing and respected members here seem to believe it's a viable portable option. I know they introduced a handful of versions in the last year or so and haven't kept up with the flow but they actually sound to be both reliable and functional when you read through the flowermate threads here on FC. IMHO you could do much worse.

Vapor Seller has the Solo for around $130 last I checked, the Ascent is around $230-250.
I do like the Imag+, but the battery life and performance leave much to be desired, personally.
My 2 favorite portable vapes (that I've used) are the Solo and the much-hated Pinnacle Pro. The Pax turned me off because for some reason, it just stinks all the time; which seems to balance the stealth factor at 0- whereas the Solo fits stealthily into a small McDonalds cup, with the straight stem sticking out like a straw.
You really can't go wrong with a Solo.. :2c:

I can have the firefly for a good price, the solo is better than the firefly ?

It's not for a all-day use, just occasionally, so i don't know :/

Try the Flowermate! I am in similar situation where the solo just isn't practical for me although it's probably a better vaporizer.

Edit - Read all the threads of the vapes you are interested in. No one can really answer your questions but yourself!

This is fun to do if you are out and about or walking on the beach
It's very easy to hide the Solo in a McDonalds cup. Poke holes in the
bottom for ventilation and you are good to go.

The Solo is the perfect first vaporizer. Very easy to use and the taste of the
your herb will be exceptional. Puffitup will price match, just ask Randy.
I have the Ascent, the Indica, Air, No. 2, and did have the MFLB. The Solo is my fav,
the Air is next if you want stealth. I still have the Pinnacle Pro, but not recommending
it any longer.

The firefly is killer so if you can get it for less then a solo I'd go for it, but you'll need to figure an extra battery or two into the price, I've only used someone else's but it seemed we only managed two bowls per battery.
