Edit: Any discount codes arround here for Hermes these days? No?

I'm watching this thread like a hawk for Hermes discount codes, so much so that it's becoming a little obsessive. I'm suffering from extreme Minivap envy. At full list price, though, it's out of my budget. I've been on the cusp of ordering a Solo as a stop-gap until Hermes releases a discount code. Bad move?

No, I think that's a good idea. I got a 25% discount during the holiday season (Black Friday). Be patient and keep checking Hermes and vapornation til it fits your budget. Since they have both the Teflon and glass cores, you can wait and read the reviews to see which you like.

So more testing has been done with the decarb kit!

Are you packing directly into the chamber or still using baskets?

After a thorough miniVAPing, I was fooling around with some part and pieces. I found that the larger end of my 18mm/14mm GonG reducers fit right into the cone portion of the MV chamber.

Brilliant...how did we not come up with this earlier!

Only using baskets in this MV.
I think I packed once into the chamber of my original unit but never again!

I just seem to get discoloration of the silicone part of my MV. Cleans off quite well with ISO but the light staining remains.

Anyone know what core is on the USA minivap store? It doesn't let me select the options for core so I'm not sure.
And wouldn't it be way cheaper to buy a core and battery ?that would 385 for a working MV if you already had the right charging equipment.

Once I'm done with this OG cloud honeymoon phase I'll be back to the MV!!

I always come back

Exact same experience. Tried once without the basket but once I read the configuration about the basket on FC, never looked back (love how my minivap looks new and clean). I also have some discoloration with the silicone. What do people do with the hard cone? Is there any situation where you can see using the solid cone because I personally can't? But the ingenuity of FC members might come up with something interesting so wanted to throw it out there.

Thanks for the idea, you are a genius.
My Girlfriend saw me everytime when I`m fooling arround and testing my peaces with different setups, now she asked me.
Why do you making it so complicated, when its easy like that... :)

Also a good idea for me, I got the arizer air and its nice to have a different Vaporizer.

I like the GCmV better than yesterday. Meaning I would (maybe) consider rolling exclusively with GCmV's in the future, yesterday I was still hanging on that TCmV line hoping I will be continued. I guess there is a choice to make.. They won't continue the teflon for ever is the glass can be qualified better on all points. Still not the case tough. They are equally great with pros and cons for both.

Getting used to it is the key to appreciate it's true potential. This beast will put you in a coma or a coughing fit like it's nothing. I calibrated it down so it runs just a little bit cooler.
It's really good, I get tasty hits and plenty of smooth vapor. Pull lighter, don't take too much in once, because it's really reactive. Pull too much = over heat your load.

TCmV's owners, don't worry about not having the best of the best, I don't think one really is better than the other, they are so different. The TCmV efficiency and taste are proven, it's not the case on the GCmV. The GCmV remembers me of the feeling of the decarbox kit on a TCmV.

So far I get much more condensation (witch is a waste!) on my pieces with the GCmV but that may be my technique, I have to start at lower temperatures.

I just ordered from there it still ships from Spain. Waiting my minivap won't be here til next week 7 days shipping to PA. Um it's Teflon core, in comments when u buy it you have to put glass or u get Teflon. But they pushed me more towards new heating system with Teflon

And that's with 7 different temps or just a new heating system for the original four temps ?either way let me know how you like it !
After reading some of @Roger D posts I'm more than happy with th teflon. Great flavor and monster clouds, what else do I need

Are the cloud evo baskets the same size? They come with a cap don't they? Or no?

vAB61P4.jpg
Does the cloud evo come with baskets of similar size? With a cap? Could you incorporate something like that? Probably Barking up the wrong tree!

I`m not sure my friend if it fits inside the Mv, but its worth to look into I guess...

Wondering how the cap works or is there any screen over the basket ?

cloud-side.jpg

The main idea is to use the 14/18mm reducer with a basket inside and a screen ontop to avoid the herbs fly out from after the hit. I found out that there is no air restriction from the flexicones small hole anymore. Thats why I tried this and it hits like a bong...
Thanks again for the main idea with the reducer @lazylightning

I dunno he told me a new type heating system with Teflon core. I got decarb kit tho too. Um I think it's 4 heat settings with prob upgraded firmware. Not 100% sure. But I am eying that glass core for 300. But I think decarb kit will make it same

An LSV ;-)

I'm hopefully meeting up with @lazylathe the following weekend and looking forward to trying his gcMV! I have a feeling I may fall for it since i've been liking my LSV so much.

Should be good to go next weekend!! Will let you know tonight!

I have the TCMV and the decarb kit, no GC yet...

@stickstones @Roger D
You guys mention changing the temps on your units. Are they BETA units that allow you to change the temps? Or are you just going down a color setting?

There is a way to calibrate up or down the whole machine (only on some glass cores) but you have to contact Hermes to know how, it's firmware dependent and you could ruin your MV if you don't know what you're doing.

Thanks for the reply!!
I will contact Jorge and ask for his advice. Would love to be able to change things up slightly.

This is where I would rather Hermes head direction wise. Having seven settings will be a great addition, but creating an app like with the Crafty where the user can dial in their temp of choice would be perfect. GCmV with glass bowl and all glass path and user selectable temps is where I hope to see them head.
