MiniVAP Vaporizer

With the glass core, I would love to see MV make a glass bowl/mouthpiece like arizer does.
I have a beta glass bowl that I'm testing right now. It's awesome how easy it is to load/dump. I get huge clouds on pink with a 0.05g pinch !

More comparisons :

The green setting on the GCmV is like the red setting on the TCmV.

The draw is really light and easy on the GCmV, you don't have to pull too much. If you pull hard like on the TCmV you will feel the burn for sure. The high is deeper on the GCmV, with a strong body buzz.

I think you've convinced me to get the gcmv thank roger

I was wondering if I buy the puck for plug-in use (Im currently using battery pack), can i just buy the minivap adapter and use the power cord for my charging dock. Or is there a separate cord to buy? Thanks.

I will! After changing the temp to the lowest setting I started to get good results, but I haven't gone any higher yet. Which temp setting do you have yours on (I'm talking about the adjustable stuff)?

Got my RMA started with VN. They told me "we will have to send it back to you if we find it's not defective". I am of course proceeding, since it's become a struggle to get the thing to work properly. It sorta went from questionable performance to downright bad performance quite quickly over the past week or so....still I am nervous they will reject the return, because if you really sit with it and let it heat up 3 times it will toast it's load a bit, so it's not completely dead yet....I just hope they have the experience with these things to understand that "it kinda works" doesn't mean it's "working as it should". Going to send it off to them asap. I'll let the thread know how it goes!

I had the same concerns. I suggest you include a note of exactly what is happening and why you think it's defective. That is what I did and I had no problem. Mine did the exact thing your is doing.

I think they are pretty aware of all the issues with their MiniVap stock so I would be surprised if they gave you any static.

I did exactly this also.

@OnCloud8 you should expect no issues with VN, well, the turnaround time is painful. Expect three weeks minimum. It's SOP for VN so be patient.

I've been noticing that when I use my MV on the higher temps with glass, the glass gets dirtier much faster.

For example, I can clean my Mobius Ion and vape 7 baskets through it on pink with very little build-up of resin on the piece. But when I vape 7 baskets of the same flower on green I get quite a bit of build-up.

This makes me think that higher temps are not as efficient. Is there maybe too much THC concentration in the vapor to the point that more of it drops out in the water? I want that sticky pink resin in my lungs...not coating my water pieces.

I've noted this same thing on my Cloud EVO when I crank up the temps and take huge fast hits. In general, higher temps seem to pull a lot of THC out of the flower quickly, but does that THC just end up dirtying my glass or does it make it to my lungs?

Of course, higher temps release different cannabinoids and terps etc. so lately I've been vaping most of my flower on pink for a few hits before going to green. That seems to keep the glass cleaner.

I've noticed the same thing but suspect it's actually the opposite of what you're suggesting. That is, green releases so much more vapor period that more resin gets on everything from the glass to your lungs. There's little doubt in my mind that bigger hits=stronger effects. Just my two cents.

Yes, from reading yours a few others experiences with them, I am ready for the wait. No worries there as I broke down and picked up an e-nano to keep me busy during the process. I hope your replacement is a winner!

also: @kimura, @scottg402, @Kommyknocker, @lazylathe, @bigmouth, @lazylightning ,@stickstones thanks for the support!

That's actually what I was trying to say too. Green releases a lot more vapor, much of which gets trapped in the glass instead of my lungs.

On green, more vapor makes it to your lungs each hit too. But over the course of vaping a given amount of flower, the green setting would waste THC. Starting with a lower temp and working your way up would conserve THC by leaving less on your glass even though it takes more hits to extract it.

I tend not to vape any flower that tests under 20% THC so it could also be a function of the high THC levels in the flower I'm vaping. Definitely curious about others' experiences.

I received my replacement miniVAP today from Vapornation and just finished my first session with it. it is one of the new glass core models.

first impression: seems like it might give a more aggressive extraction than my first two teflon units. effects are very strong with that lovely MV signature... As others have reported, I too experienced a fairly rapid dropoff in flavor after the first 2 draws (very similar to the Cloud Evo). I think my session ended more quickly as a result, but the load was definitely spent. I did not use the lid, so there couldn't have been much opportunity for conduction? still the glass experience was subtly different than teflon

great. guess I just need one of each

Just wondering those who don't use the MV lid why not? Is it a performance thing or you just get a better fit to your water tool of choice? Also anyone used the MV glass water tool adaptor 14mm yet?

Since getting the SonG adapter made by @Ratchett I always have the lid on. I know there are few people that have bought the official water tool adapter but I am not one of them.

I use a degummed hemp filter to trap most of the goodness. It keeps my glass cleaner and is easy to reclaim and vape. You can use cotton as well, but it tastes different.

It mates to glass with the flexicone. Once the lid is on you need an aftermarket adapter to mate with glass.

Sticks I've been able to mate the MV with the lid on to glass without an adapter. Placing the MV lid down on a 18mm joint firmly gives it a seal and works quite well. Good for people who don't have access to an ad pater and want to vape through water. Some joints may not work not but it's a viable alternative option.

No shit! Necessity is the mother of invention...good job! I'll have to try that just because...

I am currently shopping at minivap store for decarb kit, puck adapter, and then found minivap Oring filters. It looks like more stable screens for the flexicone. Has anyone ever used it and found any difference with the original screens?
