Decided to try some oil in my LB. Can't even begin to explain how excited I am at how this thing performs!

With BHO I got from the coop it melts almost completely, leaving just slight discoloration. And it vapes AMAZINGLY! You get nice big rips if you want to!

A little while back supply was dry where I live. I scraped the thick residue in the MFLB with a bent hairclip and wiped it off on the screen. I couldn't believe the amount of potent vapor it produced. Has anyone else tried scraping the sticky oil off from the bottom of the MFLB?

edit: just rolled some in some abv, awesome! to quote others 'MFLB , the gift that keeps giving'...

hudbud, you have to be real, real careful when you scrape the inside. Many have broken the light, torn the screen, etc. doing this. It's very easy to mess up your LB doing this. But, the careful few that have managed to do this successfully have given good reports on the oil.

if you just push the battery in for a few second and then shake and tap the box then everything will fall off. All it needs is a little heat to unstick it.

That's why it's important to flip the trench right after hitting it, or it will fuse to the screen. But like you said, the remedy is pushing the battery in for 2 seconds will free it.

The only standard for your glass is that it uses a Glass on Glass seal (standard size is 14mm or 18.8mm and an adapter can be purchased so both sides work). Other than that, just about anything works although I think going on the smaller side is generally more effective for use with the WPA.

Here is a direct link to the store that sells the water pipe adapter. As for a waterpipe you can check Aqua Lab Technologies although most of those pieces are on the high end side and are relatively expensive. Here is a 6-arm bubbler on the cheaper side of Aqua Lab pricing, but if you aren't looking for something that high end their are alternatives.

I'm sure Vitolo can help you out with that, he seems to have been able to find some great affordable pieces in the past.

I recommend purchasing the Power Adapter before getting the Water Pipe adapter though, because its hard to get thick milks with batteries. JD did it but I have had little to no success in the past and I know I am not the only one. It depends on the herb, usage and battery power, among other things.

Thanks a lot for the helpful reply :) Appreciated. I was actualy going to order that bubbler you linked, but I saw this in a headshop yesterday and picked it up. Thanks homie!

Nice pickup. Looks like it will do the job perfectly. Minimal diffusion, small tube length and bore, and glass on glass connectors with a diffused down stem. Enjoy!

My first waterpipe actually, and despite the small size, I love everything about it. Perfect for what I need it for and quite a bit cheaper than the bubbler, though that thing was a piece of beauty. Now I just gotta wait for the WPA to arrive :( Until then I have some B.S. rig going with the whip. I'm sure the WPA will let me get the most out of it.

Today is my 2 year anniversary with my MFLB. Here's an artist rendering I did just for fun, of what a blinged out version of the box might look like. It's burled walnut with chrome screen retainer, chrome battery hole sheeth, and stainless draw tube.

JD, I like to employ the long slow draw technique at restaurants. I love that (I guess zebra wood) box, nice contrast.

I wouldn't mind having an exotic wood type MFLB. I love my birch mflb but I wouldn't mind something that really pops and looks amazing.

I just had my 1 year anniversary on saturday, I was celebrating its birthday (unknowingly) so much that I forgot its birthday ;)

On a bit of a sadder note, my LB is filthy because i lost my soldering brush about 2 months ago and i didnt realize how dirty it was untill the other day, it has a crack in the wood on the back that will break all the way soon, my PA is broken, and my batteries are all dying. :(

Thanks for another great video, JD! Love the new intro graphic. MFLB-TV? Good stuff.

Nice tricked out box there, sundaddy. Burled walnut would be sweet!

Hey man, that sounds like a real bummer at first. But a crack in the box is definitely covered under warranty and you can get it replaced, the PA is most likely under warranty and will also be replaced, blissville warranty service is awesome, and you can get a set of four new high quality batteries for about 10 or 12 bucks. Send some emails out and you'll be good as new in a week.

Run to a hardware store and pick up a bag of brushes....they are cheap...sorry about all your other problems etc...

Hey all,
Just thought I would post a small problem I am having with the new power adapter I got.
I have contacted MF and am yet to hear back from them, but I thought it might be prudent to post it here in case I can fix it somehow myself.
I am confident they will sort it out if I cant.
Anyway,
I noted that the power adapter was at first not quite as strong as a new battery, but I realised after about an hours use that the intensity was fluctuating.
If I pressed the button twice in succession without moving the adapter the second time could be either dimmer or brighter than the first (Usually dimmer), and a number of times there would be no light at all.
Also, if I rotate the power adapter within the box the light fluctuates.
If i keep a very firm pressure on the battery, pushing as though I was pushing in a battery against the push back ring (which I dont use) this second aspect seems lessened.
In addition the "battery" section of the adapter seems to get quite warm.
I never had any problems with power fluctuations with the batteries so I think this behaviour must be the power adapter.
So... any thoughts?

It could be that the ring on the battery end might be loose.
Check out this post for more info.

When you guys (n gals) use the power adapter do you need to apply pressure to the adapter to maintain a full contact with the terminal in the box?
In other words can you hold the setup by the battery section of the power adapter and just push the button or do you get a weak/no contact?

I had issues with my PA during the first week, but its been working fine since then. (My issues dealt with the connection I believe, as I was able to twist and turn the battery/push it in more to get a connection)

Anyway, you shouldn't have to push it in. If working correctly, you insert the battery and push the button on the end -- no force applies during hit.
