@vapman the pictures of the heating station made me think about something many might consider superficial, namely accessorising for the vapman. :) the heating station reminded me of thoose sets for cigar or cigarette smokers consisting of a chunky table lighter(hello heating station) an ashtray and some sort of a cigarette box. the heating station will probably turn the vapman into a elegant home unit that could be likended to something refined as cigar smoking. basicly my idea is to hijack the whole idea of cigar smoking being a refined vice(in their opinion) and transfer it to vaporizing, leading to a vapman vaporizing set consisting of the heating station, a stash container , an abv container and maybe a resting piece for the vapman all united by similararities appearance, achieved by employing manufacturing steps of the vapman and the heating statinon. why leave all the fun to the combusters? :)

This forum is the best and worst thing that has ever happened to me. On one hand, I have the wealth of knowledge I am gaining daily reading these threads, not to mention the fantastic decisions it has helped me make recently. But on the other hand, VAS has taken hold too many times in recent weeks. This brings me to my point, I am definitely ordering a Vapman this evening. I'm looking to kick a Pax out of my line-up. :cool:

Oh no, I already have one of those, and trust, she loves spending my money. Then she turns around and asks me if I really need another vape after I just bought one. Shut her up when I asked her what we were to do when the power went out. Instant justification. :rockon:

Just pulled the trigger on one of these finally...found a beautiful one with a custom engraving that I had to have. Very excited to finally have one, have known of its existence for years. I'll post impressions once I get it!

@Ed's TnT This is the one I'm getting, you think you have a nice custom stem to go with it? Would love a similar color scheme :D Love your work, brother!

Vapman is my favorite vaporizer. It is very good to see FC artisans begin to take notice of how great the Vapman is and celebrate it with us. I am sure Ed would hook you up with one of his mouthpieces so you can check one out and meet Ed. He is one of the coolest people you would ever meet.

Thank you @steama for the infos and the kind words!
I also noticed that a slightly larger borehole on the mouthpiece makes already a big difference on the air flow.

@axakal: Thank you for the brain storm!:) Reading your ideas shows me that one life will not be enough to accomplish all the things going through our heads. I promis to finish the heating station still in this life, I better should say next month. By the way, the heating station will look slightly different from the prototype, there will be only one led light, programmed for three colors and the housing will be anodized black or neutral.

As the name already tells the story, the heating station is not the vaporizer, it only heats up vapman and replaces the lighter.
As any temperature can be achieved, regardless the heat source, vapman can be used for aromatherapy, though.:nod:

Sounds great, but please, please, please, please don't set it up so you need normal color vision to be able to use it? Consider that there are about as many color blind men (basically no women) in the world as there are guys who are left handed (about 10 to 12% in each case). Half of us can't tell red and green reliably. One in 20? Not that the others shouldn't be considered, but basically every vape or other device out there that depends on this indication becomes useless or very difficult to use if you have this (pretty common) handicap. IMO it's easy to avoid if you consider it. Sadly many makers (who obviously are not so afflicted) fail to do so. Puffit, Herbal Aire (former version, they upgraded this aspect), the new Air and a bunch of chargers come to mind.

In addition to OFs request, please don't make the lights too bright. Conspicuous is one of the reasons I bought the vapman. You have done an awesome job with this Vape and I am thinking about buying a second, but basic this time. I want to see how it performs without mica shield.

Good point! We will definitely consider this when setting the colors and the brightness. Luckily the colors are programmable as I don`t want three leds on the panel as shown on the prototype. Beside that it doesn`t look good there are too many wires and work.

@mixchu69: Thank you for your appreciation of the work and thoughts that went in to vapman!
Simple solutions reveal themselves mostly after going through a tunnel of complications and errors,
which means work and persistence.

There is virtually no difference in performance between the classic and the basic version, the classic version just doesn`t get stained around the heating chamber. With the heating station, there is definitely no difference at all, the heat goes directly from the heating element in to the chamber without burning or staining anything around.
Regarding the brightness of the lights, I can assure you that it will be very descreet. There is not even a led light on the outside of the panel, the light will be conducted through photoconductive plexy from the inside to the outside, nothing sticking out nor illuminating the surroundings. No bells, no bright lights, no vibrating, no smell! Only heating, breath in and breath out, you will hear your heart beat!:)
