I got my Plenty today and charged it up. Also downloaded the App.

What temperature setting do most of you use?

Do you use the filling device? Seems like an unnecessary step.
Ken

Temps setting will vary per user, but I found that the out of box settings 180 c and +15 c work great for me. Nice clouds everytime, with '0' learning curve.

Regarding the filling aid, I love it. It's quick and neat to fill an oven, and holds a surprising amount.

Hi! New around here and to the "Crafty" fan club. I also have issues with charging sometimes. It's really wierd because it stops working all of a sudden. The symptoms are a few green flashes when i plug it in, a few red flashes if i keep the button pressed (while being plugged in)
Happened before, i just left it for a week or two and then it started working again. Has anyone solved this problem without returning it? (since return costs for me would be around 70 EUR)

Thanks!

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too
...And how efficient is it with oil.

I put a dab of shatter on my pad and got a nice 10 min session with medium sized clouds at max temp.
But overall felt I had a better experience just doing a hit on a traditional nail and bubbler.

So probably wouldn't bother using my Crafty for concentrates again.

I think I get a more sedate high from a joint. Anyone else?

I will always love a 'J'. There's just something about them. I would describe the high as more "muddy", not sure if that makes sense. Vapes have a clearer and longer lasting high. With that said , not much takes me to the level I can achieve with my Cano.

Please don't hi-jack threads. This has nothing to do with the Crafty. Take this to the appropriate thread, or if you can't find one start your own.

When I have a healthy supply of flowers, I like to get blasted with my volcano by doing 3 bags with the oil pad at 430' and then I prolong my session with my crafty by doing 7-10 hits at 410'.

I find there is a method to drawing from the crafty at 410. The first 2-3 draws are very strong so those draws I pull for 2-3 seconds. then my 5-6 draws I pull for close to 10 seconds.

On another note, I'm at 21 hours and still have not cleaned it other than the brushing I do every time I reload. It's working great.

21 hours and you haven't cleaned the cooling unit? Good luck getting it apart if you ever decide to try. I let mine go over a week one time and I could barely swivel it around to use it.

Almost there...

Heat up the unit first empty to soften the oils before cleaning.

21 hours!
I think i have about 3 on mine so far... almost two months old!
Guess i need to use it more!

Yeah I know to do that for cleaning. This was for use.

I'm over 30 hours on mine but I've probably cleaned it a dozen times.

I have separation anxiety with my crafty. It just fits so perfectly in my hand, you'd think it was designed just for me. I love my crafty.

I'm thinking of getting these 2 usb power banks.

6000mah for pocket charging use
http://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-Exte...UTF8&qid=1424049630&sr=1-17&keywords=RAVPower

and 15000mah for general purpose charging.
http://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-1500...=UTF8&qid=1424049630&sr=1-1&keywords=RAVPower

anyone with experience can chime in?

I have the 15000 ravpower, it works great and recharges just as fast as the supplied ac power charger. I use the 2.1 amp port. I get a little over 4 recharges with it. The one drawback is you need to recharge it on another 2amp power source or else it will take forever to charge.

decided to open it up and clean it after 21 hours of use at 410'f.

heh, it wasn't pretty in there. all sorts of stuff, even chunks of stuff.

I let it soak in alcohol for 30 mins then used a qtip and a tooth pick. it worked well and my crafty is now happily drawing with much less restriction, I wonder why, lol

Wow you really need to clean if more often.

How often do you guys change your liquid pad? Is it posible to soak the liquid in ISO and then wash it off? I've noticed that my liquid is much darker then a new one and i'm using my Crafty always with the liquid pad, 16 hours of use so far.

A friend that also bought the Crafty is on 45 hours in one month lol.

OK, here is a thought....what do we think the lifetime of the Crafty will be, in hours, if it were to die of old age/sheer use?

We will likely see in the next year or two anyway and there are always some exceptions but knowing what i do of battery technology i tried to estimate it. I would be grateful of people more knowledgeable than me to chip in.

I haven't factored heat degradation but with maybe 500 cycles guaranteed and say an average of 30 min usage time per full charge (given claimed times of 35-40min new, perhaps an hour on lower temps, it will be below 30min later in life, 30min is a fair assumption, maybe a bit generous) so 200-250 hours would be an ideal lifetime, knowing more charges are still possible beyond 500 cycles but the total operation time per charge will be far lower at that point, so it will take more cycles to reach each hour, and the battery will be dying all the time.

I think the point where you are 200+ hours in, your battery will be limited enough that you would want to replace it anyway to retain usefulness of the device. What do you reckon?

Hi. I use the oil pads daily. I did soak them in iso for hours then I rinsed and soaked a bit in hot water. IMO it is no problem and they came out very clean with no iso smell.
