Are you guys really getting potato chips or is this an inside joke i dont know?

Any pics of the vortex next to a mp stem??

Just heard back from PV, they said the vortex stems are in production, and they will be listed back for sale once finished... But they can’t provide dates, times, or preorders. So ill just keep checking back!!

Arizer lists the Air stems for both AA & Solo but the Solo stems are listed only for Solo.

My guess is that they're aware of the issue and have already reduced their stem diameters to reduce stretch factor, here's different diameter measures,
- .574" original 70mm all glass stem,
- .573" original 60mm MP stem
- .568" replacement 60mm MP stem, New & Improved,
- .567" replacement 70mm MP stem,
The seals should be under warranty too, but like different batteries, all bets are off when using Solo, Wong, Gong, PVHES, Vortex or any other stems in The AA.
They'll vary no matter what, measure some solo stems and those will vary as well.

@WoodVillain pv usually sends a bag of chips to eat after you try your new toy. They look out for us!

From what I discerned from my search, the initial charge on this is not as long because it's 1 cell, but I couldn't find if it still needed a long first charge. Do I need to charge it for awhile longer than a normal charge on the first charge ? How long?

No, charging is basically at the same rate (about .8 Amps) but at twice the voltage for Solo. It will take the same time but deliver half the run time due to one cell on average.

It's not as important to 'overcharge' the first time as with a pack, but it's still recommended. Doesn't it say so in the instructions? IMO four hours is plenty.

Is ANYONE else getting shitty battery life with there Arizer Air? I got mine about 2 weeks ago, and have charged it to full, and usually need to charge it again after two (10 minute) cycles.

ALSO WHY when I charge it to full battery i still see a RED LIGHT in the middle of the color after unplugging it and turning the Device back on?
Is my device or battery defective?

I received ketchup lays with my PV air purchase too! Took a couple air sessions to choke em down, but stoked nonetheless!

that doesn't sound normal, one of the first days I had mine I put it to the test to see how long a battery would last, and I got about an hour of continious use out of one battery. that was mostly on the white setting though, on higher temps(or outside with lower temps) it's probably less, but only 20 minutes isn't even close to that.

Yes!!! It has arrived! I also got a bag of ketchup chips and my vortex stem. Very impressed with the feel of it so far, much smaller than I thought it would be. I have the batteries charging now. Will report back with my findings!

Well, I've already got an Air but I would really like to know what you think of those chips!

I might be in the market for an Air myself. Seeing as you're the most recent recipient on here, which stems did you receive with it?

Ha, ha, ha.
My guess is it's cheaper to use the chips than buying those air-filled packs for sale at the post office, heh.
However, too cute what you said !
Oh and @James206 : That sounds very wrong, both the Air remaining lit, and your battery life. I hope you got it from an authorized dealer who will work with you on a return.

:bigleaf:Randy (PIU) on the other hand hands out PIU stickas, and a cute grinder! :bigleaf:

I also got something xtra with my order ( but that is HUSH! HUSH! ).

The free grinder that Randy included is actually pretty good quality! The holes are small and abundant enough to grind it fine, perfect for vaping. Constructed well and has a nice heavy feel to it. It gives my Mendo a break every now and then.

Interesting, ketchup chips. Whos the genius who thought of that? :puke:

So far I'm loving the air. It is amazing how well the heater keeps up even being passed among multiple people. I love that I can change out batteries. It is so discreet most people think it's an e-cig mod at first. @stickstones I didn't know what to think of the ketchup chips on the first bite, but then by the third I was loving them (along with my buddy) and wondering why I haven't seen them in the states. @Polymath I received one short and one taller stem, both with the plastic mouthpieces. I also ordered the short glass stem(which I haven't used yet) and the vortex stem, which so far is my favorite. This vape has really impressed me and my friends so far, big clouds from such a tiny portable. Yes please!

EDIT: Post 420!

I've had my vortex stem for about a week now and I haven't gone back to my bubbler since. I do believe they use thicker glass on this one so hopefully it won't break so easily.

Looks as if there is variance in Solo stems.

An old straight Solo stem measures 0.570" OD, and the AA I have measures 0.577 ID. So it inserts into the AA, without force, without prior heating.
While others require pre-heating to expand the AA port, this one goes in, easy peasy.

I've been really happy with my air so far. Even though the arizer brown boxes are plain, they always use really dense soft foam so I never have to worry about stuff coming broken or rattling around. I got a few stem caps with the unit, not sure if those are new or they were always there. The white silicone case and the clip are nice touches as well.

i'm undecided on a stem. I like the feel of the black tipped ones, but I think they might taste just the tiniest bit weird to me so I've been going with the all glass while I explore alternates. I'm a little surprised it seems to put out almost as much vapor (or more?) than my solo. I mean, that's exactly what I wanted but I just didn't think it was going to happen.

For temperatures I've just been going green to yellow, haven't really messed with red or the low ones.

Vapor taste seems about the same as my solo if I'm using the all glass stem with a few big flavor hits and then that sort of typical solo drop off. Vapor production seems slightly more substantial than what I'm used to with the solo. That might have to do with the shorter stems, but it also seems to regulate temperature a little tighter.

Form factor is really impressive, it feels like they shaved down the solo substantially and everything else just basically remained the same. I love that it stands up to charge. I love the idea of prepacking stems and the capping them and having them ready while you're on the go.

There's a lot of good in this vaporizer, and at this point I don't really have anything bad to say about it. There's my mini review.
