Hey THCSCIENTIFIC, What is your opionion on the new KISS carts having the ceramic cup pull out of the housing when using it for the first few times? I've asked a few times and it hasn't been answered.

I know others have had the same issue. I have had my 3rd one break like that.

IS this some faulty construction, or am I doing something wrong that I keep breaking them?

This issue, for the most part is caused by overloading the kiss cart. You want to keep your load below the ceramic white cup line. If not the oil will solidify and cause adhesion to the cup. When you unthread it the kiss cart will pull it apart. If you feel the threads are stuck hit it with a lighter for a quick second or two to melt the oil.

I got a 3.7 kiss not too long ago and one of the first things I noticed about it was how the ceramic cup was "loose". I was worried I too would become a victim of this broken kiss phenomena, however after I used it a few times oil melted between the ceramic cup and the outer housing and now it's snug as a bug... hehe, no issues, functioning great!

I guess my point it that I've been using the kiss carts exclusively and heavily since the day the came out, and this has never been a problem. It seems like the cups are not seated well enough in there like they used to be. I've never had the problem before, but this batch happens fairly frequently.

It seems to be defective when used correctly. They break after the first or 2nd use. I know how much to load, I would consider myself an expert with these. I DONT PUT TOO MUCH IN THERE. I use it as its recommended to be used and the cup comes out. So my argument is its not that there's too much in there, it's that the cups aren't held in there strong enough for what they are intended for.

Your explanation is totally correct, the oil gets on the edge. But that happens no matter how much you put in.

It has broken in me after putting less then a grain of rice the very time and hitting it and then taking off the top and having it pull out.

Can THCSCIECTIFIC respond to this. It seems even more suspect that multiple people ask for him to respond to this but he seems to consciously ignores

Hit send too soon...

He seems to consciously ignore them. It seems suspect to not address it. I not asking for money back or anything, just asking for an explanation.

IME the ceramic cups are not attached to the housing in any way. It just floats there held only by the heater wires. The heater wires on a 3.7v are very thin. Sometimes I find that the ceramic cup tends to want to turn when dragging oil back to the coil from the bottom of the cup.

@lucky778 i have addressed this many times. We have removed the nickel mesh that other cartridges have because we don't agree having it there. Kiss = keep is simple stupid. Which translates to removing material that might leech into the oil or some how have an effect on it.

Also we are aware of this issue and it is solved in the Kiss Alpha Centauri.

This also happens to me when having brand new kiss carts. But I have never had one lift up and break. Perhaps @lucky778 should post a pic to provide a visual? I mean if it's brand new with no oil build up at all, how can this failure happen? I am curious to see

I've had a few break, but I definitely put more than the recommended amount in at once. One thing that has helped me is to make sure the cart is warm when you unscrew it. If you're at home, maybe unscrew it right after you hit it and leave it open for next time. If you're out and about just put it in your pocket next to your body for a few minutes and it should be warm enough.

thanks for the response. I noticed recently that myself and a few people have brought it up, but I never saw your response. I apologize if I missed it.

I certainly applaud your efforts to make it as healthy as possible as I try to to the same.

But I have to ask, if taking that part out makes the cart unusable for what it is designed for then what are we really accomplishing?

Or sell it with a disclaimer: "this product is made to be as healthy as possible. So healthy that you sometimes they may not work."

K.I.S.S - which could translate to: Keep Investing $Sixteen Stupid

Not trying to start anything. Just using the forum for conversation about the product as intended.

Well no need to be inflamatorry @lucky778. I think it's quite respectful that he even bothered to reply to you, and he actually mentioned that the issue will be adressed with the new product line. I personally have never had this issue with any of my kiss carts. However I also have had my own issues with uptech in the past, and they have gone above and beyond to prove to me their reputation as a company. If you don't like the product then I think you are the stupid one investing your sixteen dollars....

I absolutely love my 3.7v globe ti gr2. However, it is too conspicuous. Any ideas to make it more stealthy like the regular kiss carts?

Just curious, but how is a globe more conspicuous than a regular kiss cart?

I mean, they're basically the same size, the only difference to an external onlooker is that one is metal and one is glass.

If someone's watching you, is the fact that there's a tiny it of glass there really gonna trip them up?
They're gonna see you sucking on something that looks like an ecig, and blowing out clouds.

I'm honestly not trying to be inflammatory. If you look my first post today I was asking it there was an explanation or if it was something I was doing and how I could fix it. I honestly was looking for some insight, as I had been unable to get a response in the past. He did exactly that and I thanked him.

I'm aware of what he's working on with the Kiss Alpha, but that seems to be a total redesign, a completely different product. In the meantime we are left with the current model, that many people here have had issues with. He gave a perfectly good explanation to it. It They took the part out that holds in the cup!!! Bingo!! I would think he would want to know that this was happening from our feedback so he can rectify it if he chooses.

And, from his response I gather they have no intent to change it, which is also good for me to know as I can now choose to not buy the product if it's something that is something I'm not interested in spending my consumer dollars on.

His first response still leaves me to wonder, rightfully so, that if taking out the mesh makes some of the carts unusable, what have we really accomplished?

I could see how my rebranding of the KISS acronym joke could see like I was trying to be mean, since the last word in it is "stupid". I wasn't calling him stupid, and if anyone got that impression that was not my intent. I just felt that the comedic value would have been lessened had I not chosen to include the word "stupid."

And for the record. I am generally a big fan of the products. I own 2 omnicron, 1 Persei. Probably bought 50 kiss carts. I reccomend it to lots of people , big supporter. But, just becuase we have something potentially that could be wrong or improved doesnt make it inflammatory.

I like the products. I don't like when I buy them and they break in the first or 2nd use. This seems like the best place to bring things like this up.

We differ in our opinions and I don't want to create a debate about different demographics and cultures. If anyone uses the globe tigr2 in any other way than the up tech globe glass, please let me know. appreciate the feedback.

Idk if this helps or not but a 18mm male gong fits snug over my globe. I slipped my ssv mouth piece over it earlier and it worked good. All glass path too!

What do you feel is the benifit of the all glass path? Taste? I've only ever used the Kiss. Curious to what you like in the Globe as I may like to try it.

The globe is dope because you can see and build your hit better. Tastes better imo. The new globe is all glass with no removable mouthpiece tip so that one tastes slightly better than the first style globe. The new style picture isn't updated on the website though.

Just get one. You'll love it. I like it a lot more than the regular kiss carts

It's not the glass but the ti wrap is much better on the globes than the kiss carts, imo.

What's different/better about the wire wrap in the globes?

Sometimes I notice on the KiSS that the wire gets bunched up and a few of the wraps are closer to each other and it causes one section of the coil to get hotter then the rest. This causes the concentrate to only get half vaporized.
