I try to inhale softly like I inhale with the solo. I'll be more cognative about my inhalation speed.
Thank for the feedback.

That's probably too fast. Experience/skills with another vape aren't always a useful guide with the next. In fact it can become kind of a trap.

In this case, Solo has a very much larger mass of hot stuff to draw on. Heat built up ahead of time, over several minutes. MFLB, OTOH, heats a very light screen and only the herb in direct contact with it seconds before the hit. It has no 'power to spare'. It can't even heat the entire load to the magic temperature. It's very easy to overwhelm such small amounts of heat with lots of cold air coming in from a heavy hit.

If your herb is top shelf and well cured you an watch the vapor from the first hit or two collect in the unit. Even get a little condensation on the inside of the cover sometimes. This goes away as all the remaining moisture and easy to evaporate 'light stuff' comes off so it doesn't work past the first hit or two on a fresh load. But watching it form and then watching how easy it is for a tiny hit to sweep it all out was a real 'eye opener' for me. You have to work with the box to get good results, but once you sort it out it's a powerful little guy in it's own right.

Best wishes, stick with it, IMO it's well worth the effort.

@OF the Air thread, there's discussion of keeping batts at the 20-80% range to my understanding, rather than constantly topping off (excluding plugged use of course)
Now, completely different batts here.
Yoda me good sir.

Yes, that's a good plan. I'm on record, in considerable detail, on this in several threads. Avoid heat and the top and bottom of the range. Store at about 75% charge. Try this on for size:

You're right, of course, whole different type of battery here (actually technically "cell", battery is two or more working together like cannons). Entirely different rules, or rather compromises. Best option for MFLB is complete charges on LSD cells, IMO. If you're a disciplined enough user, HSD has potential advantage. But the hands down champ has to be the 'glyph' cells, freshly charged.

Sip/micro hit method is my favorite. I get satifying results that way. The long slow draw method is not as effective for me but if youre not familiar with how to sip, I would stick with long slow draw. When you get that down, move on to the sip.
@Justpassedu knows all about the sip!

You sir, are too smart for me.

I need layman's terms lol.

Anyways, last week till i start back at work. NO responsibly today. I think I will use every vape. .....

See, i can understand that. That's all i use, varied between 5 of em.....i shorted one out

Im just going to assume i can top batts off after one or two good trenches? Hsd? Ld? Lsd? Thc?
You guys use more abbreviations than the us gov.
i have "stock" everything.
Three white tipped, 2 black, 3 chargers all from mflb. One new and two back up that work. Different indicators but efficient.

I like how ive perfected my preferred clouds with pretty fresh or barely used batts.

UFO - Reviews?

Hi, I'm interested in the UFO. It looks like a cool device, has anyone heard any feedback on it?
Thanks.

I own one.
The orbiter is better.
the only advantages to the UFO IMO is more discrete and no glass to break...oh yeah and price.

also I have to keep pressure on it by pushing down on it to mate the UFO to the glass.
thats the biggest deal killer for me.
the thinner rimmed glasses work better.

also mine came with a dent in the foam. (the part that mates to the glass)
after a few messages MF said they would swap me with a new one, but I don't feel like messing with it anymore.
and also MF said they didn't the believe the dent was affecting the function of it.
I disagree and it kind of bothered me that MF didn't see my side.

oh well......IMO I feel the UFO more of a novelty item vs function.

Is it normal for the batteries to get very hot while charging? both of mine get too hot to touch during the charge and immediately after finishing the charge.

Mine do that as well. Mine get really hot several minutes into the charge and stay that way until the charge is complete. Took me several weeks to get comfortable with charging them overnight because I was afraid of the potential fire hazard. I don't know if I'd say they are so hot I can't touch them though. I could touch them for a second or two before having to remove my hand/finger.

Look what I've just seen in my Box :(

The screen is broken on the right side. That's why I inhale small herb pieces (some stick to the inside of the stem).
I bought my vaporizer in november 2014 in my local head shop (Germany). I know MF is very good with warranty, but I need the warranty box to be shipped to my head shop. Is this possible, and how long would it take to get a new one?

It generally takes a week from first communication with Magic flight until the ship out a new one. They will ship it to the address you give them. Make sure your head shop knows you have a parcel on the way?

bought my from an online shop in uk, the replacement came directly to my door(germany). didn't know, you actually have to go via your headshop. so i think, it's not really neccessary. and don't forget to check your spam folder for mails from magic flight after making a warranty claim. :)

Does it matter if the NiMH batteries are generation 1 or 2?

I'll take a stab at this. I assume you mean glyph batteries versus non-glyph. The difference is that the glyphs deliver more power and so more heat while lasting about as long. The non-glyph batteries delivered with the LB are LSD and will not lose their charge for months. The glyphs are a custom made for the LB and lose their charge somewhat faster, but not nearly as fast as HSD batteries like the Powerex 2700s, which will lose their charge within a few days.

This IS my happy face..
Just about to place an order on the Magic Flight website and was wondering if MF extends a discount to FC members...Thank you.

I guess my question(and I surely do not want this to come across as sounding rude or insensitive)is to ask the OP why they would think that MFLB would give a discount just because you are a member here!!!

Take care…..Frodo

Not wanting to jump to conclusions but could it possibly be that @joekar asked that particular question because FC is the only online dedicated vaporization community in existence. . . maybe? And I'm sure Magic Flight are fully aware of this forum & it's community, as are many other vape manufacturers, & some manufacturers like to reward active members of that community with the occasional FC Member discount. How nice!

I'm not saying that we should come to expect this kind of treatment but I can certainly see @joekar's reasoning.

:peace:

Ever since I realized that people collect different models of this vape, I have thought they should make a left-handed one. This thing is made on a CNC machine, so it would be easy to do, just mirror the program. You could have a left-handed cherry, or what ever. "MFLB if you start building left-handed ones, I want a discount on a left-handed maple." Dynalowrider
