Discontinued The Persei Vaporizer for herbs and concentrates.

Actually since it so easy to use I find myself using Hammer mode for my 7.4v herc some times> I dont have a 3.7 put together right now but it's perfect for a 3.7 herc with the longer warm up time

Although i dont necessarily recommend 7.4V hercules hammer mode to everyone... It is fun to have options without having to swap tops though.

@Breathemetal here is what I came home to, after I set the 8+Oke down after making the video of double splashguardtesting. You might try a hair more water than this and not suck on it as hard as you possibly can like i was doing haha

After hours of internet exploration searching for the best means of vaporizing Bubble Hash, I believe the answer is the Hercules. I'd prefer to vaporise the Bubble without mixing it with herb. Are there any precautions advised? Are there any videos around?

Full melt extracts are the way to go if you can get good dry sift or bubble. But the herc does not need a concentrate that passes the foil test; hell I have put straight kief out of a sifter box into mine, on top of an oil coil vaped well into its buffer till no more vapor happened- probably about 10 loads in a row inside 20 minutes. Each load had to be dumped out and wiped out, but if it can do that it will handle your bubble. You will need to clean more often than if you were using a full melt hash, though.

Yes sir. This is the first thing you need: http://www.w9tech.com/the-bender-loose-leaf-tobacco-chamber/

You're going to need a few pairs of these batteries http://www.w9tech.com/aw-imr-18350-3-7v-persei/
Or optionally a Core 120v power supply.
Those are the required items but the Hammer rod sucks down power so consider the Core if you are set on Bending. I would strongly recommend picking up a http://www.w9tech.com/the-hammer-top/ as well.

w9tech is out of stock on some items at the moment, but everything is available for the same price from online retailers and possibly from a local retailer as well, depending on where you are in the world.

Just so you know;
The Bender is not intended to be a daily driver or portable vaporizer. It's a really kind of snobbish device that is difficult to learn to use and doesn't conserve your herbs. What it does is deliver a really unique, incredibly flavorful, very luxurious totally user-controlled vaporizing experience. I use mine on occasion and don't bother trying to introduce it to people anymore...

Thanks for the reply, this helps a lot. So you wouldn't suggest the bender if im looking for something I can bring to hikes, quick smoke during lunch break, or when I'm out just chilling with my friends in public? At home I usually smoke out of my bong so I won't be using the vap. If the bender isn't portable it might not work out for me. Any other herb attachment for the persei that's more stealth and on the go?

Hey everyone I bought my Persei about 2 months ago or so I'm loving it so far! I also bought the 18650 battery and 3.7 kiss and kiss globe carts I've been only using the 3.7 for the first couple months because I didn't want to fry my 7.4 lol just paranoid. Just used it for the first time yesterday at 7.4 and wow got some massive clouds. I'm thinking my 3.7's need to be cleaned all I have is 91% ISO will this be ok or should I get higher % or everclear I might try to save the reclaim. My globe is got a ton of residue all over the globe I was wondering if this is normal or am I doing somthing wrong? Do I need to clean the actual persei unit or just the carts? How long should I soak the carts? Here is a pic of my homemade persei bubbler lol it's becoming kinda a pain in the ass wish I had three hands. If anyone has a suggestion on a better cheap way please let me know. Sorry for all the question thanks ( nvm don't know how to add pics from ipad)

While messing with the persei last night (in the dark), I noticed the blue ring around the button glows faintly, when there are batteries in the persei unit (while not holding the button down). So I thought maybe storing the batteries outside the unit when not in use would help save batterie life. Anyone else ever notice this?

Secondly, I'm thinking of ordering a hammer top, purely for the circuit protection (my top is old), and mainly the fact it comes with the rod. Does it still come with the rod? I would use this rod for dabbing, but can it also be used for bud? But if it doesn't come with a rod, I really can't justify getting it just for circuit protection, considering I've never had a problem, even with the sr74x.

The Persei itself shouldn't need cleaning except if it gets sticky on the outside. I usually soak for an hour or more. Really stubborn deposits may ale overnight. Be sure to purge the reclaim thoroughly of whichever solvent you are using. Unless eating it and using EC, (residual EC in edibles won't harm you). My main issue with saving reclaim and the globe is the UpTech logo on the glass will begin to come off in a long or repeated soak. I don't want to vape that. So...I remove that logo ASAP. With some ISO and a razor blade, it comes off easily. Upload your pics to an image sharing site. I use Imgur. Then you copy the BBCode from the pic and paste in the body of the message.

just curious is there anything im doing wrong that would make my sr74x not hit unless I use hammer mode and let it heat up for about 20-30 seconds then it starts to puff out big hits and I turn off hammer mode and just keep hitting it to cool down but I was hoping there is something I could do where I only have to hold down the button for 5-10 seconds and still get the same big hits

What batteries/configuration are you using? Which heating Rod is in your Herc. 3.7v or 7.4v? (black stripe between contact bands is 3.7)

Did you ovalize your coil to create an interference fit, so the coil stays firmly at the bottom of the chamber?? It might be possible that your coil is sliding up the tube and isn't hitting until you get the stainless chamber hot enough for the coil to unstick and slide back down over the heating rod. Just an idea.

I'm using 2 18350 and it's the white 7.4 rod in my herc and I always push the pad down when I load it

Can someone confirm the current hammer tops include the rods?

The hammer tops do not include the hammer rods, but you might get one as a gift but there is no warranty on them. We found a stash of hammer tops that included them in it, so instead of taking them out we decided to leave it in there.

Ok just to figure this out from your experience what is going on with the Hercules that you think that its not working correctly?

This is what I'm using right now any better ways for cheap or should I save up for the nibbler? Or would it be worth it to just wait till I can get the herc + Nibblerxl ?
So I will be alright with 91% ISO?
Thanks

You're saying that the Ti coil is rising up and you have to push it down with each load?

I suggest taking out the coil and squishing it to create an interference fit in the chamber, so it stays firmly on the bottom. What might be happening is while you are drawing, the oil soaked coil is sliding up the tube towards the mouthpiece and away from the hot ceramic rod. Since its not in contact there is nothing to vaporize. Make sure the unit is warm while you do this so the coil comes out easily.

Would you guys say the sr74x is easier to use with the 3.7v rod or 7.4v? How long does a rod typically last? Trying to order everything I could see myself needing for a while, but that never ends up happening lol.

Oh and are there any codes/discounts at the moment?

I've been using the 3.7v carts with my persei (v3 top)and they have been working fine. I just switch to running 7.4 and I keep getting the three blue light blinking and turns off by itself I can turn it back on by pressing it 5 times. It will work then it blinks three times and turns off so I have to keep turning on every time I want a hit.Is this my top issue or user issue. Thanks

You gotta excuse the coughing I'm coming off a cold, and it seems I'm dazed out (because we know what day today is). I also linked an image that shows the bud from yesterday and the one from the video.

Although the dark brown and ABV looks black in reality it's not its dark brown, and the green ABV isn't actually green it's brown I would say small pieces of green and almost popcorn tasting.

Also the last 2 hits is what I want to recreate In tomorrows experiment.

I think it's working correctly I get massive hits it just seems like I have to heat it up for longer than say a kiss cart but this could be normal I'm new to the Hercules so I figured it's just part of the learning curve I put it on hammer mode and wait until I grt a couple big bits then turn it off and do some cool down hits

The heat up time for the Hercules is around 8-12 seconds, then after that the vapor will get thicker and thicker if you ride the button. Reason we say 15-15 is because it takes average 10 seconds to get it warm enough vapor and the other 5 to produce desired clouds.
