Hi everyone, new here. I purchased the persei vaporizer about a year ago but I've stopped using it since I don't smoke concentrates anymore. I wanted to start using persei again but as a flower vaporizer this time. I did a little research and from what I read I need a bender adapter and a hammer ceramic rod for this to work. Can someone link me the exact parts I need? Do I need to purchase anything else besides those two? I really hope the bender is worth the money because it's almost as expensive as the persei unit it'self!

OK i admit I got too vaked to remember to show the water at the end so you could see it didnt go in my mouth. You know its working well if ya get dab sweats off a load as you go vaporizer.
If i recall correctly I only got a hint of water while I was really ripping it at the beginning then went just a hair easier the rest of the video and had no water in my mouf going on atall
The lower heat shield seems to kind of keep 1/2 the water formed as meniscus between the guard and the side of the glass chamber (the waters surface tension acts to 'adhere' Then the other side where the water is thinner, percolates perfectly.
I have had the Okeanos for about a week now, maybe less, and I am becoming more of a fan. I had to learn to 1. clear the Okeanos with a sharp pull or two to keep oil out of the center hole when loading a lot and 2. not unscrew the upper chamber too quickly I unscrew the bottom half of it, so that I can set the whole hollow chamber piece down much how I use my Persei top as a stand for the Herculesnibbler assembly

Or optionally a Core 120v power supply.
Those are the required items but the Hammer rod sucks down power so consider the Core if you are set on Bending. I would strongly recommend picking up a http://www.w9tech.com/the-hammer-top/ as well.
w9tech is out of stock on some items at the moment, but everything is available for the same price from online retailers and possibly from a local retailer as well, depending on where you are in the world.
Just so you know;
The Bender is not intended to be a daily driver or portable vaporizer. It's a really kind of snobbish device that is difficult to learn to use and doesn't conserve your herbs. What it does is deliver a really unique, incredibly flavorful, very luxurious totally user-controlled vaporizing experience. I use mine on occasion and don't bother trying to introduce it to people anymore...

That is my hesitation with water pieces, splash. However, I really wonder what the experience is like with the Okeanos and nibbler. I find the kiss and hercules to be ultra smooth hitters, so I don't have an itch to buy the okeanos and nibbler. If I want a smoother hit, just don't ride the button. But I guess it could be good for those who want monster hits (water filtration always helps)

I wake up and first thing I went to this morning was my new persei and im just amazed honestly the kiss carts hit very nice and the sr74x about knocks me on my ass when I get a good hit ( im still playing with it to get it down just right) but I am beyond happy with this device so if anyone has any suggestions on what goodies I should buy for my persei next right now its just the v4 top and sr74x and im in love with it already haha medicating with it right now actually 
If anyone could help me out with the sr74x also that would be nice I just feel like I keep putting in large amounts of wax and only getting one hit so I must be doing something wrong I would like to pack it and be able to hit it every now and then through out my day is this possible with the sr74?

Typically, I load about .25 of quality shatter after I've achieved a sufficient buffer (a sufficient buffer is key!!!) & I'm good for about a day or two (depending on how many puffs I take) if I only use it during my breaks at work. If I'm going to be out and about, I'll put in like .5 & be lit all day with a few hits every couple of hours. My tolerance is cray cray tho, so if one or two hits gets you where you need to be, that much wax will last you a lot longer than a day.
As far as goodies go, The Core. Part of the reason you might not be getting quality hits is the batteries running low (herc is a battery hog). You know how the herc seems to hit better with fresh batteries? The Core will push out a constant voltage so you get that kind of performance every time, plus you get the benefit of variable voltage so you can experiment with different temps.

The KISS Alpha C will work great on an Omicron. I really like what they did with the current Omicron; combo'd the AW 14500 battery/SS into it. Reduces the height and puts out more power.
You will want that power....
Man all these people talking about getting the v4 are making me jealous tho my v3 has been my daily since August it's still in great shape
do you just place your shatter around the coil on the pad? i feel like if i put a half gram in it i might end up losing that half gram for one hit because i havent figured this out just yet....I just took it apart and cleaned everything also pulled the rod out a little farther so the white is more visible I just loaded some more wax in and held down for a good 20 seconds or so and wow just amazing hit i coughed for 5 minutes it even brought tears to my eyes I love this vape!

i couldnt help my self was disappointed in the current herbal vaporizer line out there so i assembled the Universe and went to town on it, looks weird when its not 100% but man oh man on a Persei with hammer mode it works, gonna try to do a video showcasing its vapor production hopefully this weekend.

Guys there is no temp control other then if you have a iris or get one in the future but it sure does work on the Persei with hammer mode

Brad please make sure you do cool down draws in between hits and also when your done with the session cool down the hercules to keep the oil in the upper chamber
Also, while your hitting it, let off the button when the hit gets really warm for just a moment, and then get back on it. Eventually you can learn to regulate the temp of your hit, this matters more on freshly charged batteries, and learn to let off at the right time to clear the hit and keep the oil up. The manual suggests 15 seconds total button time for a 30 second inhale, that's a good starting place, adjust your tech from there.
As far as accessories the one I use most is the Nibbler XL, its pretty much a requirement for me personally; and thats followed by the Core power supply when Im at home. Its variable voltage so you can set the power however you please.
trying to imagine a 15 second button press on the SR71 with full batteries and no nibbler and it hurts
I find myself picking up my herc and doing extra cool downs every few minutes after a hit or any time a friend hits it even if they did a cooldown ocd I guess Or I'm a lil obsessed

a extra splash guard can be purchased, all you have to do is purchase a okeanos upgrade, this way you have one center post being cleaned while your using the other.
As for the money, you have our address just send us a check every 2 weeks, we dont mind.
the Version 4 tops is touch top, meaning all you have to touch it in a certain place to activate it, plus it has the self adjusting center post, and hammer mode.

As I understand it the hammer mode is one touch and it stays on till you hit it again? Is that very useful in 7.4 mode for Kiss Carts? Your not supposed to hold it for more then a second or 2, that would be a pain to turn on and off.
What application is hammer mode used for?
