That picture up above of Jeb and is grandfather, is it my imagination or does Prescott Bush look like Bob Dole?

There needs to be some young fresh faces in both parties. Some of these old farts need to retire. The country is tired of them. America has gone through 2 wars and a down turn in our economy. Things are starting to look better in the country we don't want someone getting into office screwing everything up.

These crazy organizations like ISIS wants the U.S to get involved in the war and it will really screw up any recovery and drain the country of its resources. Plus they will be able to kill more American Soldiers. Money spent on any war takes away from social services and eventually our taxes will have to go up.

Yeah I saw that. Evolution is still a theory, missing link and all. I personally believe a kind of "genetic uplifting" occurred a long time ago, but, I'm not running for POTUS . . . ;)

While I have no doubt that while his statements play well to the Evangelical GOP base and may play well in the primaries, there is no way in hell that it will even get to first base in the general.

The school board is debating removing all references to dinosaurs in textbooks in some backwater place, in texas I think. Because their bones were planted by satan to mislead us about natural history :evil:

I'm still not at all confident that Bush will get the republican nod. He would give them the best chance, but I don't think he is ideologically pure enough for the base. He favors immigration reform and common core, both things the base can not accept. And the base leads with ideology.

If they want to win the general, Bush is their best shot at it but I do find it kind of amusing in watching them commit political suicide. It's like they're saying, "Fuck the general election. We want OUR man to win the primary. We don't give a shit if he doesn't stand a chance in hell of winning the general."

The Republican primary debates are some of the most entertaining things to watch on TV, especially when they become a parody of themselves.

It's going to be amusing to watch Bush tack right for the primaries. Remember how Romney became 'severely' conservative? No matter what he ends up saying he amounts to the top .1% candidate. Elect him if you want low taxes for wealthy people, deregulation and more boom and bust bubbles, maybe another boots on the ground war or two.

If the republicans can get enough crazies marginalized candidates to run (I'm looking at you cruz, paul and bachman), folks like bush and christie will start to seem like reasonable choices. I am hoping that warren can push the democrat's primary to the populist left, and then join the ticket as clinton's vp nominee which could push hillary over the top in the generals. Because the best we can hope for in 2016 is a victorious clinton-warren ticket. Whaddaya think, is this country ready to put a couple of white women in charge?

I like that ticket. Clinton is really more of a centrist these days and that's not all that bad as I believe she will attract a large portion of those self described independents. As to Warren, she will defiantly get the left leaning Dems fired up. She's very smart, an excellent speaker and speaks to the issues important to the poor and middle class. The Republicans hate her with a passion though LOL. Although Warren leans left she is not so far left as to create a problem in the general election like say a Bernie Sanders would be.

I'm looking forward to the really witty and smart comedians making mincemeat out of some of these republican candidates. Saturday Night Live and Bill Maher are usually at its best during a presidential campaign.

I sure hope Mitt runs. That guy is unreal.

Well it depends how you use the term. Theory of evolution simply means change in genetic makeup mainly due to natural selection (non random). This is really the mechanism behind evolution. While not a fact because you can not observe and measure it; it is a hypothesis that has become a theory because it has been supported over and over and over......and over......

Evolution simply means change in genetic structure over time (descent with modification). This is a fact; it is observable and measurable.

I think probably not. I think adding Warren would hurt Hillary's chances.

Hillary doesn't need Warren to get the left as she will be the only choice that isn't way over to the right. I like Warren but I would rather have her in the Senate than the Whitehouse. And if you added her to Hillary's ticket the financial industry would be even more anxious to bring the ticket down. Warren will be a good ally in the Senate unless it makes sense to give her a cabinet post. Sec of Treasury maybe?

I think insecure males would find it easier to vote for Hillary with a man as VP. This will already be hard enough.

You're probably right, but an untempered hillary concerns me almost as much as the neocons do, from a foreign policy perspective she is very hawkish. I was hoping for a Sanders appointment from the ladies!
