Hey guys, as pointed out by @Dangus the mini pillar is now available for sale. It will be the the only new design from Steven available before Chinese new year. It has 14mm female joint and there are 4 pillar tubes. The only changes between this and the real one is the female joint and added neck support. Also the perc is slightly different. Original perc only has 4 holes. I ordered one and will report back the second it is in my hands

I got the 2 FC-187 s today. Bookends in fact. One left and one right sidecar. The left hand one looks good except a few of the holes on the top band of the perc do not go all the way through. There is also some rippling in the downstem on both. The MP heights are slightly different. The diameters of the bases are also 1/4" different. The right hand one is cracked around the bridge support. The crack is substantial enough that I can feel it by running my finger over it.

Here is a new water test for the FC-UFO. He got the water level right and gave it some restriction like I asked for but there is still no footage of him pulling really hard unrestricted
The bottom of the circ is closed right?

Would anyone be interested in something like the VXL devastator?

For those not familiar, it's basically just a straight tube of glass with a large ground glass joint (maybe 29mm? I'd need to double check that), and a nice flared out base.

You insert a down stem which has a low profile joint (whatever the large joint is for the male, and an 18mm female joint nested inside that).
It makes it functionally equivalent to an 18mm female dewaar joint.

The outlet is an upward facing 18mm male joint, which allows hydra tubes to be used as a mouthpiece. A plain dry mouthpiece can also be used (like the stock vxl dry mouthpiece) or it could be used as a whip bubbler :brow:.

It also comes with an ash catcher, which is essentially the same item, with 2 key differences:
1 - it doesn't have a flared out base, and
2 - the outlet is a downward facing 18mm male joint - as is required for anything to be an ash catcher.

The stock devastator was a big fat shower head for the down stem, which I'd like to see in it too, but they'd be able to produce a few different perc types if it was wanted...
Shower head, tree, punched holes (,matrix - fingers crossed:lol:) etc.

I figure they could either sell the package combined, or the main piece and the ash catcher separately.
It's a relatively simple design and I could see it being popular for combusters too...

Looks like one of the earlier FC bubblers.
If it's as good as the old one your on a winner.

What about the FC-710. Flavor for days
love the perk, hate the shape. never have been a fan of the bubblefoot I guess... id love to see that perk implemented in a more refined shape like the pillar or ys003 that would be tight!:nod:

really I dont see anything about that shape on the fc710 being necessary to the function (bar the perk itself) to achieve the same function.

perhaps this could be implemented some day. that would be sweet!

I agree on the shape, but I bought in anyway. The top of the can relative to the top of the perc may be important. There is very little vapor contact with both water and glass. I actually have to wipe the MP with ISO because it gets reclaim build up. I think that below the "water line" anything goes shape wise.
