I am pleased how they made this video. It's like watching a session in real time and it is impressive. At one point in the video, the female on the right is ZONED OUT! I really like it that they didn't do it with cleavage shots (myster shotgun and vapolution) and focused on clouds, the enjoyment of having a session with friends, and quick ease of use.

Just watched the video and I'm excited. Those women don't look like they're messing with their first vape. That said, I was excited 14 months ago when I gave them my $.

Given the form factor, its hard to think that I wont be happy with my hoppers when they arrive ...even if the vapor quality doesn't beat the Mighty or other larger form-factor models. All I see is that when you turn it on there is vapor available in ~10 seconds which looks like a decent size cloud. Hard to imagine that it won't do the trick. It will certainly play the role of replacing my long-dead Pax as my super-portable vape and I am hoping it also beats my Ascent which has taken the Pax's place but isn't quite as easy on the go as the Pax was. We shall see.

Also looking forward to being able to drop the front-end in ISO bath to get residue off and take it on trips.

I'm cautiously optimistic....not sure on the video, clouds almost seem like they are too good to be true. I mean, serious clouds kinda even before exhaling. I wonder if it's something more than flower to add effect? Looks like the vapour is pretty hot on higher temps too based on the coughing.

I'd love to see the ABV as well, is this a conduction vape primarily?

Yeah, by the looks of those clouds, it looked like there may have been some combustion going on and an unedited look at a dumping of the ABV out of the GH would give us a better indication of what was actually happening in this regard.

@biohacker its supposed to be pure convection, which could explain the clouds, on high temp, given their draws. I can get clouds thick like that out of Elevape and Firefly sometimes. I bet low temp is great too, just gotta draw slow and not go too low. We dont yet know what temp each notch is

How dare you be skeptical! ;)

I wonder if heat will be an issue if used in repeated sessions. I thought it was supposed to be a convection vape but it seems to be more of a conduction vape based on the video. It would probably work for someone with a low tolerance like myself. I hope it all works out for the backers.

How can you even say that it look like conduction vape, actually the chamber is not even hitting from the core ....

well the vid makes this look like it's working just fine, plenty of vapor there, if it's true, wonder how battery life is. I'll keep an eye open... I had hopes this would work out, just taking longer than anticipated. Looking foward to people here actually getting them. :D

It does? Why would convection give you bigger clouds on high temps than conduction would provide?

Convection typically gives bigger clouds than conduction even on low temps, and it takes much less material to do so. Pure convection is all breath powered, which is why there is so much variation with the Elevape, like with a log, the clouds are insane and really can't compare to even the best conduction vapes in my experience. Fuller stronger hits, with less material, more efficient extraction (huge clouds in conduction is often high temp and or full bowl). I've actually decided to break from my conduction vapes if I'm not in a group for now, I don't have as much of a pleasuable solo vaping experience with my conduction session vapea as with my on demand convection vapes (Elevape, Firefly, Underdog, Thermovape), and I'm saving a lot of herb and throat irritation this way too.

The newer design of the hopper may have some conduction properties that the mouthpiece bowl version did not, but I still think it's primary convection based on where the heating element is and how it heats air to pass over herbs, plus 5 sec heat up from cold makes it pretty on demand as well (if not quite as much as Elevape).

This could have everything I would ever want, good form, replaceable batteries (with 3 total, I'm not really worried about battery life at all), temp settings, near instant on, lifetime warranty, solid price to boot. Optimistic this can be the successor to Thermovape T1, my first vape (and somehow still one of my best, now that I use PA and WPA to make it a desktop)

Is there a current picture of the guts of this? Originally the bowl was to be the tip of the pen. This got changed at some point and now you load the barrel. I suppose there is a screen that keeps the herb from touching the heater? That could be a possibility I suppose. So my question is, how can you say it's not?

Considering that this vaporizer was advertised as convection, and all the backers backed it as a convection vape, then I would be very surprised if they switched to a conduction model without publishing that info. Yeah, they didn't tell us about moving the bowl, but that's a much, much smaller change.

@Shit Snacks My experience is the opposite of yours, I get MUCH larger clouds with my Solo, than say my Cloud or LSV. If I let it heat soak for a minute, even on low to moderate temp I sometimes scare the shit snack out of myself because it appears like i've combusted, the glass is so milked - almost yellowish. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah when a whole Solo load cooks (optimizing its conduction over convection) its all white. But thats a whole load cooking entirely at once, so ofcurse it is, its like filling a bag in a small small scale way. Much harsher on my throat. With the Underdog I can pull deep and milk a bubbler even whiter, much quicker and with much less material. Haven't used a cloud, but my LSV did the same only with larger bowls which is why I had to sell it (too much power, and not enough opportunity for group use) , so I'm surprised you prefer your Solo. I'm personally kind of over Arizer bc I've experienced the quality degrade significantly over time with them.

Anyhoo if the Hopper has a mix of convection and conduction like the Solo and Air it would please many people, and with its instant on and off there shouldn't be too much cooking in between hits, and hopefully no rush to hit it as the bowl should remain pure when not hitting, and tube shape shouldn't require much stirring with that spiral airflow

I never cough unless i have a cough....

At first the girl on left on low temp dos'nt cough but cough thereafter & too much comes out for me maybe use less and lesser temps maybe ok, but it totally dos'nt look good aload of coughing... what is the lower temp tested? and the middle temp and why the hell is there a higher temp than that!

The reason for the adjustable temp is for the ability to control what benefits and types of high you get from your cannabis. I'm not sure where it is but I do know it is stickied on fc somewhere, a member tracks and explains which chemicals are released at what temp and what those chemicals do to the human body. This includes chemicals being released right before combustion temperature. It's an interesting read.

They're probably coughing cause they're "new" to vaping. Most of my friends cough because they got more than they expected because it doesn't normally feel like you're getting anything.. Supposedly.
