FlowerMate Vapormax V/V5.0/V5.0S/V5 Pro

I wonder when the Flowermate v5 pro and mini will be released. I feel like those are gonna be game changers.
The Pro will have step by step temp adjustment, and the mini will be smaller. If that's your definition of game changing ....
Adding full temperature control is not a game changer for vapes in general, I agree. But it is a game changer for inexpensive basic quality EZ vapes.
There are other portables in this price range (as low as $45 delivered) with step by step temp control.

Hi Everybody,
I`m a new member but have been following this thread since the summer. It helped me decide to buy a single temp V5 in Oct and I really love it.
I was wondering if anyone has a DH Gate Link for the 3 Temp V5s version. I`d like to get a second unit and more temps might be good to have...

Was also wondering if anyone has replaced the batteries in a V5 yet (I know I`m going to want to try when my current unit dies).
The only mod I`ve done is a recent replacement of the stock screen in the glass mouthpiece with a 3/8" SS Screen. I find it draws more easily so I`m happy with that...

I do have soldering/tech skills so any info on battery changing or other mods to keep this baby alive would be great to have.
Thanks, all the best!
Dan

@happyvapeman : welcome! You should wait for the FM5-pro it's coming in less than 2 months now.

So far nobody reported any battery replacement but it shouldn't be too hard to do if you can solder. The lingering question is: will the vape calibration be lost when you do that or not? I'll try to ask my Smiss contact next time to see what they have to say.

Thanks KeroZen, that`s a good question. Hopefully everything will still work after the batteries are replaced. Cross that bridge when we come to it!
I`m thinking the Pro will be pretty expensive for the first while...I`ve got a friend here in Montreal (Canada) who`s got too much stock in his vape store and will let me have a V5.0s for $95 CDN.
Unless there`s a great price I`ve missed on DHGate or elsewhere, I`m thinking I`ll go for that one...

I also noticed there's a few places on Ebay (with decent feedback scores) selling them for US $80 including shipping (not sure how that translates into Cdn)

Thanks Wahiker! I just looked on eBay and saw the same ones. That`s a good deal but the CDN dollar is so weak right now that with shipping my cost would be about $120 CDN...

The $80 Ebay price includes shipping, but I just checked and apparently US$80 is about CDN$100, so it's still not as good as the $95 price mentioned above.

Unfortunately that`s free shipping to USA only...add another $20 to Canada...

No problem, I appreciate the input!
EBay can be tricky like that...ordered my first one from DHGate where they will ship for free to pretty much everybody.
Can`t seem to find a good price on just a single unit of the V5.0s version on DHGate right now though (good deals on the fixed temp model though)!...

If you do decide to change out the batteries, be sure to use batteries with tabs. Soldering direct to the negative side of the batteries will cause internal damage to the cell. May cause it to self destruct when you least expect it.
The calibration should not be an issue as long as the replacement cell has a rating close to the original. Having @KeroZen confirm this is great. Also, trying to get the highest mAH rated replacement is not good as IMO, you need at least 10 amp continuous rating. Usually around the 2200 mAH area.
Hope this helps.

Thanks danthepan124 and olivianewtonjohn but I`ll get killed on shipping, exchange rate and duty bringing one in from the US. That`s why I`m looking for a deal from DHGate or Alibabba with shipping included...

Smiss just contacted me to inform that the V 5.0 Pro is available for sample finally!
I will let everyone know how it goes.

Update: The sample price for the V 5.0 Pro is $85 exclude shipping(expensive:doh:), and Mini 5.0 might be available after 26th of Feb.

I just had a chat with my Smiss contact. She told me to wait after CNY to get the FM5-Pro because right now the samples they have are pre-production and the PCBA has still some stability issues. I would advise you guys to wait some more unless you really want to beta-test.

As for the battery replacement, I'm waiting for more details but I'm afraid it will be more complicated than expected. She mentionned having to write a program on the chip after the batteries are replaced, so I suspect some data would be lost in the process, like for instance the calibration data (it was the case with another portable vape, I just don't recall which one)

In all cases, due to the possible danger involved, Smiss as a company does not support DIY battery replacement and she strongly advised me to warn you about it. Don't put your house on fire please!

@Pipes : btw the original cells are 2600 mAh.

There are other portables in this price range (as low as $45 delivered) with step by step temp control.

Which one(s) are you thinking about? The HD has only 5°C steps and will be priced probably equal or higher than the FM5P.

Yikes. I wonder if that means the pro will cost $125+ when it is released...

Thanks @KeroZen for the input on that!
Sounds like the V5 Pro won`t be out for awhile at least at a reasonable price. I`m thinking I might go with an Arizer Solo and back it up with my current V5 (maybe eventually the new V5 Mini)...
Any advice or input on that?
Thanks!

I am thinking about the same thing here. I want a vape that is a bit more portable than the solo, so I am thinking about the arizer air for ~$180. Since the solo runs around $130 I would be paying an extra $50 for portability that the solo doesn't have.

I really wish the pro would drop with an $85 price tag. There is alot of competition around the $125+ price point.
