The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

I got my response from S&B they're asking me to send in my unit for a recalibration also but because mine has a couple of extra problems, should I ask if they can send me in a new one rather than it being recalibrated because I'm worried about the same problems happening again... or would that be a lot to ask for lol

I would ask. When buying something that's a good deal more expensive than competing products I think you should expect a lot. I know people who've gotten Apple related stuff replaced which was out of warranty. It's also a pretty important time for these new portable vapes from SnB. They should bend over backwards to keep their loyal fan base happy, writing good reviews and spreading the word of how amazing their products are and what amazing customer service they have. They stand to make a good amount of money and see their company grow.

Also the worst thing that can happen is that they say no.

When you send it in, they want a detailed outline of the problem or problems your device has. I would attach a paper listing all the problems your experiencing. They will decide upon reading the issues if a simple recalibration will fix it, or if more is needed to be done. That will probably justify if a new unit is needed to replace your old one. Either way, I don't think they would send you back a device that still has issues..

Hi niglong. Please post how snb takes care of you. All the best with your device :)

***Ok here are the pictures of the small piece that has come of of my Mighty.
I do baby this little beast, it has never been out and I take very good of it in every regard.
Yet somehow this little piece decided to defect and leave its homeland ;)

I was scepticle of the all plastic design from the get go, but have to say this functions time and time again, very very well. I am just hoping for longevity with it.

I hope if it breaks away more within warranty s&b will take care of us, this is not our fault, its a fault in the all plastic design.

oh and I am using Elmomuzz's idea here with the slit halfway down one of the coarse screens on top of the load instead of my regular third of an oil pad. It was a great session man, think I found my new thing. Thanks for that, good one.

I got an answer from the Storz&Bickel - the S&B will replace the device on new.

That's good to know, but I don't feel like turning in my mighty. If something else isn't working, I will definitely send it in.

Thanks for the picture. And thanks to Elmomuzz too, fucking love the cut screen idea. I'm mainly using hash atm so I can't really use it much (small pieces go through the screen) but tried it with some herbs and worked great.

no problemo mario. I can put more material in with the elmomuzz split screen than with my torn in thirds oil pads while still being able to tamp my dry herb into a puck. It gives dense vapor.

And welcome phatboi. Enjoy your new mighty.

True, and I donno about you guys but I found splitting the oil pads to be a fucking hassle. The first oil pad I tried just magically worked, the rest did not come apart easily at all.

Did you email info@storz-bickel.com?

"Hello
thank you for your reply.

The problems that you are experiencing with your unit are due to a software error, which leads to a faulty display of the actual temperature. You can rest assured that a recalibration of the software will eliminate the error."

when I asked if they can just replace it new, we have a similar problem -.-

edit* I asked "info" I didn't ask "service-america" I'll retry with them, maybe the person i'm talking too isn't fully involved with the department

Hahaha exact same thing happened with me. Ended up wasted 2 perfectly good oil pads. Thought I was just an idiot....just placed a spare screen and get wonderful results

I've torn my oil pads into thirds. You can kinda shape em with your thumb and finger.
Once they've had an iso wash they seem more plyable.
I wanted to use a screen on top from the beginning. But didnt sit nice until elmomuzz's screen slice.
Now thats what im doing for full bowls.

* Furthermore. I have no screen in the CU ;)

I am currently apart from my Mighty, but while we've been apart, I've often thought of my Precious, and stuff that would go great . I've made a stand out of shelf hardware and a piece of Lucite. The shelf hardware is a peg-style corner shelf stay. I drilled a hole for the peg portion. I think it may work.

Should be getting my replacement mighty any day now. They received mine and shipped one back out same day. I'm hoping they gave me a new unit. My 2nd mighty has had no issues so far whatsoever. this is the pelican 1150 case I store mine in

That just happened...
I use the pointy tip of a bamboo skewer and use just a tiny amount as I work my way around the piece. It doesn't take much. Holding it in a clamp really helps. It should also be completely flat before you begin that step.

I might make up a few to help out the less handy folks.

yeah i didn't have a clamp, i'm stoopid =[ maybe it'll still work.. i mean.. if it's airtight.. i dont see why it'd be an issue if it's in the airpath if it's non-toxic and designed to withstand temps of up to 260C

To do it without a clamp try this method. Use a drop to tack weld the piece in place. It sets in about 15 minutes and then go ahead and apply your "bead" around the rest of the piece.

If you indeed used 50/50 of well mixed jb weld that should be ok to use except that I see some on the threads. Clean the threads up with a small file. I'd hate to see you crack the plastic on your housing like some have had happen.

In fact I'm not sure I'd use it. You can't learn without failure so don't feel bad. I've screwed up plenty of stuff over the years.

i cleaned it up so it should definitely function and be airtight, my concern is just about the jb weld epoxy being inside the tube, but honestly if it says it's non-toxic and can withstand 260C [which is way more than it'd ever be facing] then i have to imagine what would really be the issue.

i really appreciate all your help man.

i sort of just eyeballed the 50/50 to be honest.. obviously i aimed for 50/50 but it may not be exact. i'd say i mixed it pretty well too.

I honestly don't know.. maybe it's not safe.. bleehhh

So I stayed up too late from too much excitement about my incoming dnail with HE infiniti, 20mm sapphire insert and now a 20mm pukinbeagle deep dish banger to replace my broken DI pukinbeagle 20mm on my existing dnail.

While I wait for dualling dnails, I need sleep.

For sleep, the Mighty was enlisted.

I put 1/3 of an oil pad on the bottom of the bowl to protect the heater, covered with one standard mighty stock cooling unit screen on top and made a puck of about .15 of THC Bomb 3/4 melt bubble hash, snapped off a .15 chunk of QWISO extracted, QWET winterized, sub micron filtered THC Bomb absolute shatter.

With my @Ratchett SonG and my Luke Wilson rig, I got whitewall that was literally pound for pound as epic as I used to get with my Sub (not that it didn't have plenty of fuel lol).

Delicious clouds ensued and now sleep.

Bubble hash in Mighty, highly recommended :D But remember, you wanna protect that heater from anything falling back into it! ;)
