Anyone ever dealt with magicflightlaunchbox.ca ? I ordered my MFLB 2 months ago along with a cherry wood stem, grinder and other accessories. They state numerous times on the site that they ship from Canada so I was surprised to see an American address on the package I received. It turns out that they drop shipped the MFLB to me, but never sent the rest of my order.

I've emailed them numerous times and have gotten no reply. A few weeks back I finally got ahold of someone on the phone, they told me they missed my order and would ship it to me right away.

This morning I tried to call em again to check if it was shipped and their number is not in service... Should I assume that I've been scammed? I also wonder if they really are an authorized dealer as their site claims.

On their website it has a disclaimer that says "To avoid any confusion please note, we are not the manufacturer of the Magic Flight Launch Box. "
Let's not give up yet. Give it a few days and try again. Numbers change.... international connections go down.
Let us keep our fingers crossed and perhaps the universe will untangle any dark workings!

:( That stinks BHOmb. Honestly not sure if that site is authorized distributor. I personally think you should contact MF directly and let them know the situation, the site and see what they say. I'd also include the serial number of your box so maybe they can track it. They are awesome folks and very above board.

Maybe shoot an email to this address: magicvape@gmail.com

Good luck!!

(yes.. I know... use lip balm, and burts bees wax on your lips... etc-- an extra preparation).

this is the exact reason why i usually dont let people hit my LB native, they slobber their nasty lips all over my precious box!

i always make sure my lips are very dry when hitting my launchbox, and thus do not have to deal with residual buildup from saliva. i definitely prefer using it native unless i am vaporizing oil.

stroh,
Vito: After looking into these guys a lil (they have other websites and an ebay store) it looks like I'm one of many who haven't received what they paid for, most have received nothing at all in the past few months and have had no communication with the store after many attempts. At least I got my LB :D

Lo: Thanks, I'll be dropping em an email soon. I'm not terribly concerned over the missing stuff since I've since ordered most of it again from another site and received it in a couple days. I'm more irked that magicflightlaunchbox.ca/ are scamming people and may give an amazing product a bad name.

Guys... Thanks so much for replying with all that info... I guess it is mostly my noob skills, practice makes perfect however!
All the discussion here has been really helpful though, even as a lurker it helped, you guys rule.

Some red tape.. legal crap loophole allows them to use that name for a website.
Magic Flight could take the long irritating road of filing a DMCA complaint.
perhaps it is now on us, as reviewers, users, and leaders in the Vaporizer community to let folks know about this, and abuses like it!

its a shame that FC is such a relatively small community compared to other forums. There is such a wealth of knowledge, amicability, and benevolence on these boards that i have yet to encounter on any other website.

I actually stopped hitting it natively because of this. Even the smallest amount of moisture would leave marks on the wood, and I guessed after enough repetition it would eventually stain or disfigure the wood.

I am still learning to hit the MFLB myself.. I still find myself combusting a lot and have a difficult time browning the bud evenly.. sometimes I'll have both black & green still in my trench, and I don't know whether I should toss it or continue.

BHOmb.

If you used AMEX you're covered. Any dubious or new company will only get my AMEX. They don't let scammers get by. Been with them for 30 years. Have never failed me. Just won a battle with a blinds company. As always I won and they bent over backwards to avoid an active dispute.

Hopefully someone will cut off their status as a vendor if they don't get it right. Let Magic Flight in Cali know!

You need to really make sure to shake the heck out of that thing. My box tends to get a really stubborn layer stuck to the screen that is pretty hard to remove just by shaking it until it dries enough/turns black. Then it comes off easier, but I get a speckled mix. I also started to take shorter hits so it doesn't get stuck in the first place. Browns a lot more evenly, but takes a tad longer.

Also, is there a reason everybody uses eneloops specifically? I have 2700 mAh batteries, but a different brand. I wouldn't think it matters, but it seems like eneloops are the universal choice on here.

Nobody uses Eneloops anymore, they dont even fit snug at all in the new Boxes, I used some Eneloops(from my OLD Box) on my new warrantied Box, and they just fall right out, and its hard to make a connection.

We prefer to use the CURRENT stock batteries, which are an OEM Powerex2400 battery. The Powerex 2700s also work very well

Like Nyc said, eneloops are an old choice. Maybe you've been reading some old posts? MAHA is the way to go, either with the OEM Imedions (low discharge), or the Powerex 2700's. You can't beat the quality, and they're a snug fit.

Was just about to post that I'm waiting for my MFLB which was scheduled for delivery today, but it arrived like 2 minutes ago! About to open the glorious tin of madness :D

Holy shit this thing looks awesome, I knew it'd be small but it's seriously like a third of the size I was expecting which is a nice bonus. I love how it's packaged and everything, can't wait to give it a go but will probably hold off till tomorrow or Friday

Wow Bipola, you're a more patient man than I. And I'm pretty sure everyone was amazed at the size when they first laid hands on one. Enjoy!

True enough!.. Congrats on a timely delivery and a slightly delayed (for a good reason) post!
Enjoy!

Good to know. I've been trying to go through this thread, but its hundreds of pages long and I don't have that kind of time. I am sad that it seems like I bought my box just barely before they upgraded, though. I hope I at least got the stock batteries they are currently using. Mine doesn't have the little ball to hold the top in place, so I'm not sure if I would have the ones they're using now or not.

Edit: Spelling

They had those batteries as the stock batteries before they had the ball latch. Its possible you hve those, did they come with some print on the batteries themselves? keep in mind this print can rub off quite easily, they have already been wiped off the ones I have in use at the moment.

max said it best, they are OEM Imedions, not the same as any other Imedions sold to the public, but similar in some ways. the 2700s from Powerex are the next best choice and the best choice for an HSD for this purpose.
hope this helps you :)

More like it's disconnected. Short is worse - makes lots of nasty plastic smoke immediately (as my notebook adapter did recently :/ )
Also long time ago my crapir oxygen battery source shorted itself. Also - lots of nasty smoke. Has killed all 10 batteries in there.

Seek,
For those fellow canadians on the board, vaporizers.ca is a great site/seller if you want to get a box in Canada.

When I got my box earlier this year, it came the day after I ordered, and I had no problems with them at all. It also looks like they also carry different stems now for those who want them.

Looks like I'm going to join in on the WA crowd, I'm gonna put an order in today for one, but I'm gonna hold off on the PA for a while, I don't often used my LB anywhere near power, and I'm pretty happy with my 2700s.
