the PA is most definitely worth the purchase. I dont use my battereis unless i have to these days. PA all the way. PS if you buy one, put some color on your wheel so you can tell where it's at. I used some nail polish that the x gf had. worked a treat!

Agree about those magnets .
It would have to be an individual owner's project .
There is no way MF would add that feature as a new version .
It would cut into their already incredible profit margin . imo ( No dis-respect meant )

No matter what grinder I use, here is an extra step that makes the herb extra-fine:
After two or three hits, I dump my herb into my hand.
I roll it and squeeze it between my thumb and fingers a few times.
Then I put it back in my LB.

Hi! Im new to FC but i just got my MFLB and im loving it. But at the same time i don't think that i am using it correctly. Ive watched Vitolo's and JD's videos but i can't get clouds nearly that size if i get any at all, and my trench turns black after 6-8 hits without combustion. I can still feel the effects but its not as strong as i thought. Im almost positive after reading about 100 pages on this thread that i am doing something wrong, but im not really sure what it is.
So my question is what am i doing wrong that makes the trench turn black so quickly?

welcome to the forum!
does it really go black? or more of a dark brown? I was gonna say most people hit it too quickly as that is a common mistake, but maybe you are doing it wrong the other way? too little suction?
there are a few things that make massive clouds. the fist and most important thing is good herbs. you are confident in the quality of your green?
after that a fresh battery is helpful, and the super slow draw. i like the puff puff wait. and repeat method for making bigger clouds if i wanna show off!
and on a sidenote, I also do the hand/finger grind after i figure i am about 60% though my trench

thanks! and yeah the bud gets black like it would after a few hits with a lighter. the box also gets decently hot in the middle. i flip my box and tap it all over before my text hit and usually i will take it up and grind it more.

I watch the vapor cloud build up in the trench before taking my first draw. I then let the next vapor cloud build up before taking my second draw. With practice you should be able to avoid combustion.
When I can't look at vapor cloud build up, I go by seconds. I wait 2-5 seconds depending on power source, draw, wait another 2-5 seconds, draw, and repeat.
With a fresh 2400, I don't 4 seconds.
With a fresh 2700, I don't go past 3 seconds

To put it concisely, breathe at a faster rate. You are inhaling too slowly, which is allowing the screen to get too hot - your rate of inhalation is a huge variable in how your MFLB hits.
If you're still having this problem after extensive playing around with faster rates of inhalation, then you may have received a defective unit, which MFLB will gladly replace for free.
My technique is one second with no breathing, then as many "microhits" as I care to take, with an occasional long, slow inhalation which may last 8-20 seconds. I have never had a "blackened" bowl in my MFLB, just evenly and well vaporized.

At the beginning of learning curve, user does not achieve much visible clouds and overcooks frequently. But get vaked as well, it just works everytime no matter how well you can use it. Few days, or a week of practice and these issues will be gone. You will blow visible clouds and will not ovecook it. If not, the box can be defective (too hot), but it's rare, they are each tested before going to retail.
Now just a few tips:

I never really "push the limits" with the stealth-ness although I could and have a few times. In the back seat of a cig smoker's car while they smoke a cig in the front seat is a good one. On the rare occasion that the LB even leaves the house, I usually prefer bathrooms unless im outside. My herb is usually pretty stinky so I don't like to push it. Fuck non-mmj states, seriously.
@Gosteelers12 Here we go Steelers!! Steeler games are my fav public place to launch it up. Vaped like 3 trenches at the Ravens playoff game last year right in my seat! I haven't taken it into Consol Energy Center yet but I plan on it
