Discontinued Elevape SV

I'm going to bust out the Elevape to my company's banquet tonight. Im gonna slip it in my jacket pocket. Any tips for a first time user?

@mixchu69 Check out page 33 post #812.

You can use any whip that fits the mouthpiece you are using. you don't need the MFLB stem or O-rings, I use that setup for waterpipes.

Tip: Put a rubber band around your wrist so the whip doesn't slid down your sleeve. This will keep the whip ready to go in a second.

This is as stealth as you can get.:ninja:

I also agree with @thotfukr with keeping the temps low. There will be less viseable vapor and you will get highly medicated without drawing attention to yourself!

I also agree with the "less is more" suggestion if you don't want to have to fiddle with your ESV throughout the banquet (stir lid/stirring in general).
Put in a little over half of what you would normally put in.
This will allow you to enjoy your herb easier without having to touch your unit (maybe a shake here or there).
You won't get as many draws and you might have to reload, but this works for me everywhere and no ones the wiser!

Have fun my friend!

I just had my first session with Elevape and I fell in love. Used it straight from the box, got nice vapors, taste is awesome. I never thought about vapor on demand. I am so used to waiting for 2-3 mins. I had one bowl with the Elevape and am medicated. I want to thank all the FC members, esp. you vape dr. for this awesome recommendation.

I tried the lower temps like vape dr. But I prefer the hotter temps. I was so excited after my session that I went straight to my iPad to let you guys know.

Edit: FC members, please take the advice of this thread and jump on vapor nation to get this half off.
Now I get it vape dr. You were showing me stealth mode and being inconspicuous with lower temps

I have been playing around with my esv and am impressed. Now that I played with the stock, straight out of the box settings, how do I get the big clouds everyone is talking about? Do I have to change the coil placement, use the highest heat settings, or simple tweeks?

I am going to read the entire thread to get a good background on this device

Edit: I have been accustomed to 'sipping' vaporizers because of the limited heat source. With the Elevape, the harder you pull, the bigger the clouds. The Abv is a light brown. Any tips on the chamber door. I am purchasing the stirring lid. But I have a hard time getting it on/off. I need to jam it in for the door to seal. Any suggestions? I'm on page 9 of the thread.

Put in an order for the stirring lid, accessory kit, and a new chamber lid. I'm wondering if this will be easier over time. Maybe I need to apply some cleaner to get rid of the residual glue. But other than that, this has been one of my best purchases For medication

Thanks for FC advice I too am taking advantage of the half price deal, but for those of you living in California be advised some glitch in the software bills you for the full sales tax (before discount, not sale price as required by law). This means an additional $15 or so expense ($30 sales tax, not $15).

Total price $206.

Still a good deal, of course, but 'not right'.

Yea, you have to pay the tax on the full amount. Can't wait to hear your review of this device OF.

How does the unit feel in your pocket? @Vape Dr. how does it feel vs herbstick deluxe in your pocket?

Im right on the edge, this thing looks to be very small but on the thicker end of the spectrum.

So, Vapor Nation's price before the 50% discount is up from $325 to now $350... nice of them to raise that on us.

I know charging tax on the full price is how it works for us, but paying almost 20% tax on a purchase price just hurts. That's enough to put it over the "affordable" line for me.

I've been reading this thread for a few days now. By the time I reached page 23, I decided I had to have the EVS, so I googled for discount codes. Lo and behold, that took me to @Stananton's post on page 41, about the "BLOWOUT" code. Yep, at $175, I had to do it.

I told my wife I was going to buy it, explaining that a variety of vaporizers (I have 4 now) is kinda like having a variety of wine glasses......a different style for every need. That's when she smiled, and reminded me its my birthday, so she was good with it. :)

Thanks to everyone for all the information and opinions, and @Stananton for posting the code. Oh, and no tax for Washington residents.

I disagree, I have to pay tax on the retail price, I was charged tax on the full amount (not what I paid). It's what happened, not what I was responsible for? Now maybe the rules have changed (I seriously doubt it) but back when I was responsible for setting up the charges for service you didn't charge tax on credit returns, promotional discounts and such. If you gave a customer free stuff (as we often did, you didn't tax them for a purchase they didn't make). You taxed in state sales (at the rate in the sale area, BTW, it varies a lot) for the sale price (what the customer paid).

Not to mention it's not legal. And it turns a 50% discount for everyone else into a 40% discount for locals.

When you buy a new car, is the sales tax based on the actual sale amount or MSRP? Having never bought a new car I don't know, but strongly suspect all the traditional discounts aren't taxed as the part of sale price?

I think it's a programing mistake, trying to avoid taxing shipping costs? I'm sorry if the extra $15 puts it out of reach for you, IMO it shouldn't.

Thanks, I have, I think so too. We'll see I guess?

For fun I looked it up, if they did charge too much they have to either refund it to me, or just give it to the State........no surprise there I guess...... It's VN's mistake and my money, but the State will gladly take it....so long as the evil merchant doesn't profit......

Im right on the edge, this thing looks to be very small but on the thicker end of the spectrum.

@olivianewtonjohn The ESV feels good in your pocket. it is roughly the same size as one of those hard waterproof plastic cigarette packs, mouth piece included. Feels like a heavier small pack of cigs.

The ESV weighs 167 grams (2 3/4 x 1 1/4 x 2" without the MP).
The HD weighs 122 grams (4 1/4 x 2 5/8 x 7/8" with MP down).

The HD will fit in the side of my jeans along the pleat.
The ESV will settle at the bottom.

However you can put the ESV in your back or cargo pocket with no worries.
I would be afraid of breaking the OLED screen on the HD in any other pocket but the front.

The ESV is built like a tank being all thick T7 aluminum, while the HD is like a PAX with a 1/16" aluminum skin covering plastic with an OLED screen to worry about.

I have no issues with the ESV in my pocket, sometimes I put an E-cig silicone filter cover on the MP tip of the ESV to keep out pocket lint.

The HD in my pocket, sometimes the oven lid comes off. Also if you have any metal in your pocket (keys) the HD oven lid magnets will shoot out of their hole and stick to anything near.

The ESV is a much better unit than the HD IMO by far.

Plus portable conduction vs portable convection....that's a no brainer to me!

Convection wins all day!:D

***EDIT IN***

With plastic waterproof cigarette container.

I got charged tax on the full retail price too. It seems similar to phones I buy at Verizon. If I sign up for a 2 year contract, I pay the discounted price but pay the tax on the full retail price. Is this only in CA?

The sound of vapor
Emails to Joe have been bouncing back for me as well... and no answer to my PM @Ipuffusa sent on Friday, guess I'll try to call him on Monday, what's a few more days without being able to use your vape when it's been like that for a couple of months, right? :freak:

I had issues with my esv so I sent it in and this how my coil was positioned by the factory. I have 3 screens in my oven, 1 chamber lid screen and no mouthpiece screen. I prime my draws for 3-5 seconds or not at all depending on strain and temp setting. Currently I have Connie Chung and its very dense with a really nice cure on it. With this strain at 350° and a fluffier grind I blow massive lung busting

clouds, no prime needed. I start my draw at medium slow and increase it right at the end to avoid dark spots. With my coil this low its very hard to combust but it had happened at 375° fresh oven slow draw...silly thot.

If you have a black o-ring on your lid, purchase the replacement orange o-ring. It is a softer material and allows the lid to swivel and be removed easier.

Hey kaptan,

I was only given black orings. I look at accessories and don't see an option to buy an orange one. I bought some extra black ones.
