Crafty/Crafty+ by Storz & Bickel

I save trees
Had the crafty for a week and in that time it has: stopped charging if its warmer then 150° F ( yes, Fahrenheit), and an hour ago it stopped connecting to the app. Can't disconnect or connect to any other device.:disgust:

I bought a crafty, Alfa and Firefly this month alone and currently the Alfa and Firefly are already out for warranty replacement and now my crafty is next in line to be shipped out..... It seems I need all three just to have one I can use at any given moment. So far all these new vapes give me headaches that equal the level of medication they provide.

My Crafty had a slight hiccup today. I went to do a session, packed a full oven and turned it on and waited for the vibrate signal. I usually vape at the default 180 C, so when I took a draw I was a bit surprised to find a much much thicker than usual vapor. Instead of a solid green light the crafty is displaying a flashing red, like heating for boost mode. Weird. I quickly checked the app and the temp was pegged at 210 c , even though it was set to 180.

I tried turning it on and off and no change, so I reset all settings back to default, and voila , back to normal. Scared me a bit. I'm hoping this was an anomaly, I'd hate to have to send it in for repairs...currently at 22 hours.

Vape critic is an idiot. Not much he says is accurate.

If VapeCritic were a member here, I'd be giving you a warning point right now. Our first rule is Be Nice, which this isn't. Please try to do better.

For the record, I don't agree with you at all. While he has different values when it comes to choosing a device, and I can find lots of things he says that I don't agree with, he makes good points a lot of the time. I think he's honest and usually accurate in his descriptions.

That just happened...
He's a commercial reviewer. Fair game in my book but whatever.

So let's see. First he speculates that the lack of stock available at the webshop he recommend purchasing from is due to a product redesign or tweek.

Then he goes on to say S&B have been giving poor customer service due to having customers pay for one way shipping to get their device serviced. That is the industry standard. It's one thing if the device is DOA but if it malfunctions after a period of time it's accepted that both customer and seller will share the burden. This is not a unusual practice.

Finally they have been sending out brand new units quickly and complete with free accessory kit to make up for the misery. That is going above and beyond in my opinion.

Ok. I may have jumped the gun and I will be very happy to eat my words.

I want s&b to do well as a company while taking care of its customers.

I still will give s&b the benefit of doubt.

Hi Very high
@Hotz woah man! What is that contraption and how do I get one? I have done a couple of tandem skydives in my time but that looks awesome! Looks way higher than my Crafty gets me

Crafty is still a beast I ordered some extra o-rings that came through from vapefiend. Think its been mentioned before but some of the rings are a different color blue and some are orange. Is this just a cosmetic change or?

I'm really enjoying my crafty, despite having had only one week with him, it's hard to go back to my original DaVinci

I like him he's very honest. Nobody is perfect. At one point he was the only one who has videos of blowing clouds of each Vape to compare them better then any videos. At one point his video of the clouds is what sold me to buy it besides everything you guys said

Absolutely amazing! Para and/or hang-gliding have always been a dream of mine. Hoping to relocate to CO in a few months, would love to find a beginner's place there!

And you are quite brave to bring the Crafty out, I'd be afraid of dropping it!

Anybody else finding the mouthpiece on the CU a bit awkward to draw from ? Sometimes I find the smoke hitting the roof of my mouth or the middle of my tongue.Do you guys place your lips on the tip of the mouthpiece or from where the groove on the sides start ? Could just be me that this is effecting, I have got a fat tongue.

They sent a brand new one, full sealed box all accessories.

I try and not use my lips at all. I actually bite the crafty that way when I inhale it mixes with air and makes me cough less.

Yes, I use it hands free :D

Vape critic is an idiot. Not much he says is accurate.
You make some fair points later when you criticise specific errors on his part, but generally speaking I think it's unfair to call him an idiot.

You know, in a world so replete with actual idiots, one should be cautious to avoid dragging everyone down that far just because they're not infallible.

I have held off ordering a crafty due to the issues reported on this forum.does it look like a v2 will be released anytime soon? or some form of rolling production tweaks to improve the issues.

Looks a great vape but don't fancy spending all that money for it to break

I believe we are already in "v2" mate! My replacement Crafty has a couple of changes that really make a difference. :)

1) The software is new (2.05 vs 2.04 I think)
2) It doesn't overheat so much (at least mine did)
3) It keeps the set temperature much better even with extremely strong draws (I think they must have narrowed the air path a bit, hence the better temp holding). It still is quite free flowing of course!
4) The o-rings are new and supposedly more durable
5) And last but not least, I don't know if it's the software or the changed air path but the battery life seems improved with my unit. Maybe be wrong though…

And about the mouthpiece on the CU… I think it's the most comfortable mouthpiece on a vaporizer I have ever tried. I try to mouth it enough so the tip is after my teeth and the hot vapor hits my tongue instead. Teeth hurt… :brow:

ayyy what's up guys.

I'm looking to for a way to hook my crafty up to a water pipe.
I was considering just buying the adapter from delta3dstudios and I feel like that's the easiest, but I'm also interested in elmomuzz's method which requires a bit more effort. What are the advantages/disadvantages of these options? Are there other just as good or even better options for my purposes?
