On cleaning and per4mance:

As we all have stated cleaning cu is a must and I use 1 cu for 2 days tops, Doing 8 + bowls a day.

I also recommend with a mild urge to change out the bottom screen and iso wipe the bottom of the oven every two weeks@ my usage reference. It makes a huge difference in taste and function.

All di best

...very nice post man...welcome.
...never had any error message with my mighty and I've had it since early Dec.
...I do believe one of the variables of the temp is the environment you're in...In s.f. where I rarely have to turn on heat my mighty and crafty rarely fluctuate .
if I take the units outside...I notice dancing much more..
..yeah I clean my units every other day...this maintains them being easy to clean, as gunk is really not allowed to become.."problematic"...had a bad experience with the pax that I'm NOT looking to duplicate...
no lie bro. I have let it get super gunked up.

in fact when I wake up the mighty is frozen so the notch on the mouthpiece gets stuck and I need to run the mighty to let the heat sink in. I have had fun letting the cooler get practically gunked to when the mouthpiece straw is twisted inside when off the wax will slide down or rather slope down into the straw and when I wake up the straw is also frozen shut. lol ive taken a paper clip/dabber and dug out up to .5 g of reclaim. and its always super clean & tasty. id say its a concentrate that is one of the cleanest you could hope for...

I did the same with a toothpick. I was outdoors so I could see everything. I usually hit it late at night in my car.

Adam Bauum got me thinking about a lil spring cleaning for my vapes.

What's the verdict on ERR 004? Seeing VapeCritic's new video has me worried a bit. I was vaping last night and it flashed for a second. Is it cause for conern, indicating that something is wrong with the unit? I have noticed that the battery indicator is a bit misrepresentative at times. I shot S&B an email Friday explaining the issue, but have heard that their customer service level has dropped in the last few years, and people are experiencing slow replies. Can anyone attest to their experience with s&b regarding mighty/crafty and ERR 004?

edit: seems like a lot of people are having this problem here's the vape critics video if anyones interested:

How do you remove the bottom screen is it easy? Did you get scratches?

yes i have some nice stratches. It kinda sucks but worthwhile. I have not found a good way to remove and put back The bottom screen.

Best way is to get a pin like tool and first poke down making the screen into a dome. Then prying a side and removing.

Thanks for the video. I should add I am just about to receive a replacement for my Mighty which err004'd on me the first time I used it as has many times since. The battery display has had many issues too and it also didn't work while charging.

I emailed S & B about the issue providing very specific information about the issues and detailed usage information. I got an email back after days/a week suggesting that they know of the issues and to await a response to the issue very soon. I received the response within a few days of that email saying I need to send my device to them in fucking Germany at my own expense (swearing warranted when you see shipping prices!) to get a repair/modification which will fix the issues.

I said that since this is a known issue rendering their product not to operate as described - or at all sporadically - that I felt very disappointed to have to pay 25-100 bucks plus wait a week each way (with express shipping, which was MEGA $$$$$, way longer of a wait with other kinds of shipping and not necessarily any tracking) to ship my Mighty back to Germany after it errored out on me when I first used it after taking it out of the box and meticulously following instructions!

This is in fact illegal according to consumer law in my country. However I am unsure if this law applies to foreign manufacturers when they were not the original point of purchase so I must be clear that I AM NOT ALLEGING ANY BREACH OF ANY LAWS.

Regardless, I gave up on S & B and got satisfaction from my point of purchase - who I suggest all Australians should contact if they have issues. Our consumer laws gives us guaranteed remedy for the issues the Crafty/Mighty have had due to obvious and acknowledged design/manufacture problems.

S & B really need to lift their game here. The new products are epic when they work, there is no doubt and I will sing their praises for this - but give me shitty service for your expensive products and I'll be taking my business elsewhere and stop recommending your products to people.

Please note that I am not complaining that the products are expensive, that is perfectly justified by the performance. However, if you charge for a premium product, you had best provide premium support and after-sales service to your customers.

I scratched mine up pretty good but only because I let the walls get black then used ss scrub on it.

question for those who have gotten a replacement unit thru s&b warranty.
What did you send (defective unit with or without cooling unit)
what did u receive(unit, unit + cooler or complete new box with charger?)

as per s&b instructions,I only send back the unit itself in it's own box,
I wanted to keep the cooling unit too, but it wouldn't sit well in the box.....

I also added the charger cause the problem I had could also be charger related, didn't know back then.

I received a brand new unit with all accessories.

As much as I like and enjoy my mighty. We need to have s&b make their warranty repair and customer service much better. They are really weak in these areas. Common s&b we want a long term relationship.

Well, let's start here. From what I am reading, we need to let S and B know they have to do better on service. I, for one, will not buy from them until folks here are much happier about their service. Others should let them know this, too.

That just happened...
Muzzmod v1

To start you need a crafty or mighty cooling unit and a 18mm to 14mm reducer.

muzzmod1.jpg

Unfortunately often times when you buy glass from eBay it has some sharp edges. This needs to be remedied.

muzzmod2.jpg

So out comes the torch.

muzzmod3.jpg

Ah, much better.

muzzmod4.jpg

Take your cooling unit apart and save the extra bits to use for whatever.

muzzmod5.jpg

Cut it in half with a hack saw making sure you don't cut into the bottom portion that your after.

muzzmod6.jpg

Your left with a pretty rough looking piece.

muzzmod7.jpg

Get out some medium grit sandpaper and place on a flat surface. Rub your piece back and forth to remove any high spots.

muzzmod8.jpg

It will look like this when you have it just right.

muzzmod9.jpg

Now use a clamp to hold your newly made piece to the reducer.

muzzmod10.jpg

Make sure you get it good and centered.

muzzmod11.jpg

Now mix your JB Kwik and very carefully using a bamboo skewer apply a thin layer around the edge where the two pieces meet. Try and be as neat as possible. No need to use to much.

muzzmod12.jpg

muzzmod13.jpg

And you are finished. Let it cure overnight then wash it really well. Insert a screen and enjoy.

Yes lets all voice this together so they will hear us. I want to be a longterm customer but I will not if s&b does not improve their customer service and warranty repair shortcomings.

Let's unite to help them improve. I love my mighty.
Peace

From what i see on fc and my limited experience with their cs, they are sub par.
Even vape critic voiced his concerns here. It takes them a long time to respond to customer service inquiries and making people pay shipping on a product that has some issues (early adopters) is not good to me.

I also wonder how they will honor the plastic chipping around the top of the unit. I baby my mighty and have one small chip so far. I heard here somewhere in the crafty thread they denied warranty on this.
THAT IS TOTALLY UNNACCEPTABLE TO ME.

We want to continue to use/love/promote your vapes s&b please step up now and do whats right. Your great vapes need great support

I don't see the problem with customer service? You follow the instructions that are given. Send unit off and receive a replacement. I found it to be a hassle free experience especially compared to other well known brands on these boards.
werd. im just happy they are replacing my unit. could have just fixed the same unit. shipping cost me 30$ but I wanted to send it priority so theyd get it by Thursday and they mailed it out on Friday.

Since my new Mighty wouldn't show a full solid 6 bars of battery upon charging, I emailed S&B about it. They responded within 12 hours asking me to send it to them for a recalibration. I did just that, spending about 18$ to ship it out. So far I'm pleased with S&B's quick response in regards to customer service. I'd rather send it directly to them to fix than return it to my store, wait for them to get more Mighty's in stock, then chance getting another problematic unit. Looks like they might end up sending me a brand new Mighty as some of you received after sending in for repair.

I would love to eat my words. Mindspins post just had me put some salt and pepper on my earlier posts regarding customer support.

So can people post any feedback on their customer service and warranty repair.
