The chinese new year is coming soon with a panel of new vaporizers ! . I hope this thread will permit you to discover interesting things, new concepts and why not the vape graal !

this is the first i found on Ali:
the name is the COBRA. it looks as a phone, the design is interesting : refillable mouth piece, led vu meter , variable temperature.... nice ! but nothing about the technology, the heating chamber or the battery :-( wait and see ....
http://enjoylifetech.en.alibaba.com/search/product?SearchText=cobra

The second item is a different concept. I think is not perfect ( small battery); but the idea is great. It's the FALCON . A new dry herb vape concept with built-in water tank:
http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/2015-Wonderful-new-dry-herb-vaporizer_60174743248.html?s=p

some of these vaporizers will probably be pieces of sheet but sometimes, ideas could be good ideas !

You can post here your 2015's discoveries, and happy chinese new year :-)

first details about the Falcon i've received
"....Glad to hear from you. This is Nick from Wonderful.

We have been specialized in ecig business for years. From last year we start to design and manufacture our own brand patent products.

Falcon vaporizer, R&L box mod and some wooden vaporizer are our new vaporizer which just finish the TPC tobacco exhibition.

Falcon built-in water tank to realize real partable than Pinnacle. Basic on Pinnacle we update the structure make it more convience. Use Aluminlun alloy. Pinnacle chip. Built in water tank makes vaporizer body never hot.

We are now applying USA and Chinese Patent to protect our product.

Good news that we will also join the France exhibition in March. So you can see us and our product..."

Nothing more for the moment about the Falcon , i hope to obtain a sample to test it, but , Wonderfull company sells a minimum of 100 units (moq ) . Nick seems very interested to promote his new product, so there is maybe a possibility to obtain a sample for a review. i wait a response.

more infos about the Falcon. the pcb is the same than on the pinnacle pro ( 5 temperatures). the bowl is in aluminium with an heating film around it , like the Pax. The air path is safe, well isolated of the electronic and battery.
falcon4.jpg

the first units will coming soon.
i 'll receive the first beta version for a review after the chinese holidays. and I shall probably see the manufacturer in March in Paris ( ecig expo).
the next point is the battery. no more info but i know they want to make it more efficient.
The manufacturer seems very attentive to quality materials and health security, i hope my review will be positive because this unit is very innovative.
They will offer a one year waranty and the possibility to obtain spare parts separatly. but it's not on the market for the moment

if the falcon corresponds well at that the designer says, and performs well , it will be a great unit :-)

Salutations,

...the idea is great...

It sure got me curious:

Somehow the Alibaba classification captured my attention, then i really went to focus while reading about some Dry-Herb vaporizer with a "built-in water tank" (Falcon / Shenzen Wonderful trade co., Ltd.):

« The improved 'Built-in water tank system makes this portable vaporizer equally outstanding at vaporizing herb. »

Now that's an eye opener for me who actually happens to experience acute intolerance to dry cannabic vapor. While using my pipe the mix includes hots gases (H2O + CO2) which clearly provide excellent inlet conditioning as i've been comparing my HerbalAire (+ Arizer Solo whip) vs a modded VapogGenie pipe for a while now and i must conclude my preference goes to the pipe because of its self-watering element exactly.

So if it's that good than it seems (in terms of user-friendliness) when it comes to air/cannabic path clealiness then this is certainly one of those candidates i want to see disected!

...water tank makes vaporizer body never hot...

Ah, clever dual-function, right? :D But then i wonder, if it's boiling water evaporating inside, well, ain't that a bit hot for such purpose?...

Built in water tank and a clean path, DAMN.

Indeed, wasn't it about time?!

It is unclear to me if the water is for cooling the unit only or if the vapor will pass through it?

I'm not too sure about this design. The internal water tank will start to smell foul after some use, unless they make it so the water can be changed frequently. Also, it looks like it will be difficult to clean the water tank, which can become a health concern.

Salutations Kaptan,

I'm not too sure about this design.

Personally i wouldn't want this cannabic path to be interrupted so it should be kept short/direct while only a tiny amount of water vapor is required to be injected into the main stream, but that was before as now it seems i was wrong to assume the water was for self-humidification after all!

A while ago i could evaluate heat against dryness before and inlet moisturization is a favourite/priority option of mine so far; my late enthousiasm resulted from the idea that finally a manufacturer probably just had a lapse of faith about such innovative feature, euh... Instead it turns out i was a bit too optimistic, although the water tank may still prove useful that's far from being what i hoped for initially.

Well, it was some puzzling read anyway. Good day, have fun!!

i am waiting for the first unit for a test. your questions have been seen by the manufacturer that yet promises an update to improve the batterie capacity. At this time, the lithium-ion batterie offers around 50 minutes of vaporisation without been recharged. The good new is that the unit could be used during the charging.
the other point i want to discuss with the manufacturer is the temperature setting. The Falcon use the same PCB than the Pinnacle. so , if the temperatures are similars, it could be :
1-188C/370F
2-200C/395F
3-215C/420F
4-230C/445F,
5-243C/470F)
it looks too high for weed only ( the Pinnacle use small cartridges ( pods) , for oil or wax that needs higher temperatures.
i think to suggest other settings like these if the vaporizer is only for weed with no cartridge ( pods)
1- 340°F / 171°c -
2- 365°F / 185°C
3 -380°F / 193°c
4- 400°F / 204°c ,
5- 420°F / 215°C

what do you think about these settings? the higher temperature of my PAX is only 410°F ,it's enough but is just my opinion, your remarks are welcome

sorry i can't edit my precedent post ( ?) . i just received the last informations about the unit.

Today, the temperatures are the same than on the Pinnacle, but Their engineer is searching to change it
the first four setting will be for dry herb ( 350 °F to 420°F ) and the higher temperature reserved for other option ( 470°F ).
470°F will probably be suffisant for hash but i don't know for the Wax
So i need your opinion about the temperature for wax, because there is no wax here and over all if it's possible to vaporize into this kind of heating chamber (conduction)?

the heating chamber is the same than on the Pax ( picture on left) but a special pod for wax and oil is studied.
filling water is easy ( pictures at right)

in response of the principales questions:

" The water tank, chipset and battery are isolated in different parts. Water never leaking and it is safe to use. The water tank is is highly highly isolated. Falcon chipset has also ashort-circuit protection. "

`"No bad taste. " "We use ABS plastic material. high temperature resistance. anti-corrosio

"it is easy to change water. Just open the water lid to change. We suggest user change water every three days after using. It depands on how often user smoke."

""We suggest user adding 20ml of water""

"To satisfy long time using by user we are now Expanding the battery capacity "

"If the wax vaporization is not possible , the températures will be reconsidered for weed only but because the chamber is at the top and vertical, it will be perfect for oil or wax too."

if you have other questions.... you're welcome

probably a mystake
It 's not yet automatic to replace the word "smoking" in the speech! but the work they do is remarkable:
I suggested them to change the scale of temperatures and a cartridge for concentrates, the day after the work was done.

In the current state, the Falcon should have 4 temperatures for dry herb and one maximum with a removable cartridge (bullet) for use with concentrates.

The question is whether 470 ° F is sufficient for wax and concentrate?
i'd like to have your opinion, I count on you because here no wax!
