Does anybody know about ps3 firmware updates? I have posted here about the demise of my og tall 60gb a01 model, please see the fuck you!!! thread for the results of that travesty. Now I am the proud owner of a supposedly very lightly used 120gb slim version, definitely a few years old but I believe the guy. What I'm wondering is if I should bring it up to date with the firmware, as it has never even been online before much less updated. I would hate to destroy this one before I even get a chance to use it!

Ime, it seems like when games or movies need an update they just go and get what they need, but when I wanted to game online like I used to I needed to apply a major system-wide update, and that's what I want to do now. But I don't want to kill it...

I'm sure it is, but it sounds like more than I want to get into. I just want to play motorstorm and watch the occasional blu-ray. I'm wondering if this machine can handle the firmware update required to play online.

I enjoyed the first Dead Island for what it was. I'm not sure how this sequel will be but this trailer is one of the funniest video game trailers ever.

All Titanfall DLC is **FREE** for PC on Origin website.(i assume for consoles also, but not sure)

I am not a huge EA fan, but I did spring for this one when it first came out. The game trailers looked so good. The gameplay is really smooth, but I couldn't get into it once I got past the "coolness" of the titans and fewer people playing online.

Maybe this will help ressurect, resurrect, bring this game back to life.

I am still playing Titanfall and still enjoying it . I do think that the free dload of all the maps has brought a few ppl back , but it's still hard to find a full game of any gametype except attrition . It seems weird to me that the developers support it for a year and then abandon it make new games . I understand that is the way video games are now , but i really miss the old days of Unreal Tournament and Quake 3 when a game's lifespan was years . With all of the updates and patches and mods and custom maps I probably played more than 2000 hours of UT back in the day ... Titanfall is the first game of this type I've bought and played in years and I am so grateful to have something to play on the PC , but it's kind of sad to see it fading so rapidly . It's even sadder to find myself lamenting the good ole days of PC gaming

@vapomancer --Looks like there are more players now. I haven't had to wait very long to get into a game since getting the free DLC. I am enjoying the new maps very much. Surely they released DLC for free to get more people interested in buying Titanfall 2, but nonetheless, I apprecaite the freebie very much.

Oh, the Unreal Tournament days, ah, the memories. That was my first forray into online PC gaming. Started with a hand-me-down Odyssey system, then the first Atari, skipped Intellivison(hated the controllers lol), got ColecoVision with the Super Action controllers, whoo. After that, gaming kinda died out till the NES hit big. Grabbed a NES, then Sega, and finally a Playstation.
3-4 years later bought my first PC souped up with a 128MB graphic card(thought it was more ram than would ever be needed for gaming), found UT and have been a PC gamer ever since. My old school favorite was Soldier of Fortune 2.

I've heard only good things about WoT and it's free so maybe down the line I'll have to try it.

Played and destroyed GTA 5 on PC. Looks fantastic.

Playing Ori and the Blind Forest right now, it's a bit short, but the visuals and the music are superb, and it's a fun puzzle/platformer.

I have Alien Isolation, probably going to play that next. And I also have Grim Fandago: Remastered as I heard it was a classic great game and wanted to play through it.

I've been playing a lot of Hearthstone though. Maybe cause I can play on the shitter/at my desk at work too, but I've been enjoying it. Was a huge fan of Magic The Gathering when I was little, and this just kind of fits the same gear, but being able to play against anyone in the world is pretty sweet, rather then the 5-6 friends I had IRL who played Magic at the time.

I was real into League of Legends, but I've kind of turned off from it; my roomate is really into it and gets like anal at shitty play, when he himself is a shitty player lol, so I've just decided against playing. Obnoxious how every loss is the other 4 team members fault, every win is his success.

DOTA 2, where its at though IMO, in terms of team based gameplay.

I am too old for LOL, all the colours and sounds just confuse the fuck out of me now, play hearthstone though.

got to admit I am more likely to listen to an audiobook than game and not really sure why it has been that way for a little bit

I've tried HotS a few times, liked it more than League, but ultimately went back to MMOs/Steam. Nowadays I play Elite: Dangerous and Counter-Strike, sprinkled in with the desire to return to the world of Warcraft :luv:.
Elite: Dangerous is amazing though- if you like space, you'd like this

I like to hop on d2 from time to time still, found a server that's free and allows maphack so it's enjoyable. Also been trying out a free one called path of exile, pretty good. Such a lack of good in depth games nowadays though... so I haven't been playing many in quite sometime now, not to mention arrogance of other online players can make a game much less interesting... lol

but d2 and CS are my go to games for quick fun and nostalgia

I'm playing Batman Arkham Knight on PS4 right now. I didn't play the previous games and bought this abrutely last weekend. So far, I absolutely love the game and wish I had played the others. Flying around/driving the batmobile around and open world is unreal. Additionally, the game does an incredible job with making Batman see realistic, with so many technological upgrades to make his characters feasable, and they do an unbelievable job with the villians. Scarecrow in particular is someone who isn't very scary in the recent movies but his character is pretty twisted in the game. Bottom line: I love the game
