I just tried cutting up a volcano liquid pad and using it for my shatter with the e-nano. It was pretty tough cutting into the steel mesh.
QsvJtUN.jpg

I took the little cut out of the steel mesh and just smoothed it out around the edges. I then just popped it into my GonG thats too short, so now my short GonG will just be used for concentrates which makes for easier cleaning.

The hits are very tasty and much better than cotton, I usually crank it up to around an 8.5...

Also I would like to give a shoutout to Nadia!
I emailed her last night and got a response today and she shipped out the replacement glass screen GonG today! I know she has a lot to manage at the moment so props to her for working so hard. I guess I did have some bumps with EpicVape but at least it worked out in the end.

Whatever you do, dont get too close to the heater.

Others may disagree but it makes no sense to me to compare a log vape to the Solo. I have an underdog vape which I love and a Solo which I also love but they are totally different. They don't look or act alike. Vapes like the flowermate seem similar in overt function to the Solo. They need to be charged and there are buttons to push for various functions. Not so log vapes. Aside from a log vape being utterly simple to use and beautiful most log vapes are not portable. Has the enano become portable or does it still need to be plugged in like the UD?

Well I'm also happy with the Solo but was also wondering if there was any other vaporizer that will be more efficient. My goal is to use as little as possible to conserve more as NYC prices are outrages. Is this vaporizer more efficient than the Solo? Is this still in production? Where can I purchase one from?

Not sure what your looking for. They both produce vapor, that is all you can tell from a video.

Where the nano excels over the Solo is infinite heat on tap and much less draw resistance. The nano can be left on 24/7, so no need to rush through a session in 12 minutes. No need to turn the unit off and on again for multiple bowls. No need to wait 30-60 seconds between hits to let the Solo heater regain it's temperature. No need to wait 4 minutes for you unit to heat up.

And then with the e-nano, you have more control over the heater and the distance your material sits from the heater. You can go much lower than the solo for 0 vapor and all flavor, or you can go higher than the Solo for wax/oil.

I don't mind using the Solo, it does the job. But the nano is just more enjoyable, versatile, and especially TASTY!!!!

I'm liking what I'm hearing about the Nano so far. Can you tell me about the draw resistance? I have a single bore stem for my Solo which has no draw resistance that I like. Does the Nano has any custom made stems or mods? Do they have any pvhes stems that will work with the Nano? Will the Solo stem work for the Nano?

OMG not to mention that everything has just been summed up and discussed. Selective reading I suppose.

Received my cherry nano and although it's not the no light/no hole like I requested, it arrived fast and Andy instantly tried to replace it proper. Fuck that shit!! I can't send it back and be without my previous baby!

I also didn't get the gong instead Of the dry stem and Andy rectified that super quickly as well!

I don't think I've ever had a single purchase with epic vape that went smooth or didn't have an issue, however every single time Andy has made me a very happy customer! A little patience goes a long way although I understand the frustration.

This new nano runs about 1/2 mark on the dial hotter, so I'm not at 7 like before, but more in the 6-6.5 range. Love the new cord design!

I love log vapes, does anyone own a Nano AND HI and UD too? Just curious if I NEED one? Lol

After my first nano I had to try them all! I currently have 2 E-Nanos, 2 UnderDogs, and I'm on the list for 2 Hi's. Hopefully my turn comes up around August.

I just had to have them all!! It's not just about the Vape imo. I can just as easy stick them on a shelf while it awaits rotation and it's still very pleasing on the eyes. Then once you plug it in u unleash the beast!

You can't go wrong trying them all if you have the moolah. If you love amazing convection taste and love the beautiful wood, you should love every log vape.

I'm currently in CLT en route to STL. Most are packed away as I am having a house built and I'm in an apartment but as soon as I get in the new house I'll try to post a pic. If I can remember. There are pics of them scattered throughout the threads, except my 2nd PD.

Edit: Yours are beautiful @NickDlow
I don't have any exotics......yet.

Dude, flip your adjusta screen upside down, so that the sides are pointing up... your new SS pad will nestle inside, and you can get that extra MM of space...

Give it a shot.

My Black Friday sale order was comically messed up. The package arrived with a letter from the post office stating that it had been found open in transit and missing half of the stuff. And the stuff that did come was from a small batch of defective GonGs that slipped past QC, leaving me with a half empty box of nothing usable.

This was at the time Andy had a short term parts supply issue before the holidays, and Nadia and I agreed to just deal with it later, as nothing was critical.

Maybe I'll wait until Andy gets back to sort out all out and give Nadia a break from us for a few days.

I'm such a fan boy that I know they will make it right and if I had a vaping emergency I'm sure they would get right on it if necessary.

I thought I would post this so someone like me would see it. Strange it took me so long to find the two rubber bands that changed an experience. Dial movement issue solved.

The only problem with the rubber band is you can't adjust the dial without moving the band because it grips so well. So I took one of my wife's hair scrunchies. They are wrapped with material so you can still turn the dial but it won't move other wise. A hair scruntchie like this works perfect

Funny reading about issues with orders - I'm currently short 2 sets of basket screens that were supposed to have been sent out twice but haven't. They're great to deal with so I'm hopeful i'll get them, eventually.

I'm around 6 weeks in with my e-nano. Very little learning curve since it's so easy to use, but a beast to master, if that's even possible, so many variables and ways to tune the delivery - and I'm still dry, planning to experiment with water in a couple of months.

Random points over the last week or so:

Recently switched grinders and noticed how different sessions feel and the effects of the link between finer grinded material and cloud production.

Friend gave me some pressed hash that I've been attempting to prop close to the heater using the sandwhich technique. Never enjoyed cotton for some reason, but I think I need to revisit what some of the more experienced people are doing, but it really is wonderful to pop the heater up 2-3 notches above the usual for herb and steaming through some polm.

A fat yellow rubberband from a lobster claw was best I found, or a stretched fat blue one from broccoli. Trick is to not put it all the way over the dial - just a little bit with most on the housing. It should be enough to hold it in place, but still allow for a little movement when you need it. And, who doesn't like a little fresh lobster once in a while? They even come with two rubber bands!

Really like the hair scrunchy idea, too.

Ever since I had my dial replaced (8 or 9 months ago), this hasn't been an issue. Really not sure if I just eventually learned not to bump it, or if the dial I have now is that much more rigid. Probably a combination of the two, and the fact that my original dial would move if you looked at it sideways. New one, not so much. This dial (and the one I just had for a few days on a used nano I picked up for a friend) were a few of the last of those on "connected" cords (not detachable). Not sure how those on detachable cords are in comparison.

I like a pretty fine grind, myself. I use a 2 piece space case and try not to twist so much to make it too fine. Definitely leads to bigger clouds and less stirring in the stem/GonG. Dryness of material will make a big difference, too. Sometimes more moist material will give a prettier cloud, but think much of that just water vapor. So while pretty, not as potent per hit IMO. And, nothing wrong with that at all (especially if doing a vid or impressing friends), but think I like my material a bit drier than most by the time it's in the stem.

For hash, I try to stay away from sandwiching. If it is gummy and seems like it will melt quickly I'll put a thin layer of flower between it and and the screen so as not to make a mess. But, usually it will stay pretty much intact (the "homemade" stuff I usually get anyway), so throw it in there by itself. What I've found with this and kief is that if you're not careful the flower will be spent before what you're sandwiching. Really no problem with that except the popcorn taste, but why deal with that when you're extracting pretty interesting flavors from the other stuff? So, think better to use as little flower as possible and adjust nano for the other. Usually, kief lower temp than flower and hash a good bit higher temp.

Even "dry" hash will leave a bit of residue on the screen. When spent, I dump, crank the nano up to 10 and give it a couple hits til no vapor. Then use the e-pic to scrape the char off and a quick blow to clean it out. That screen usually into the cleaning jar a little quicker, but seems to work well for a few sessions of bubble every so often. If it does goo the screen up badly, just replace with a clean one.

Dry is nice. But, you should really check out a cheap water piece. It is definitely a game changer with this vape! Only three problems I've found with it. 1) Dry hits are still tastier, but moisturized ones just "feel" better. 2) You gotta keep the glass clean. Not a big deal, but something else to keep track of and do. 3) This is the killer..... Once you get started with glass, it's very hard not to catch the dreaded GAS (glass acquisition syndrome)!

Check for Ed's TnT in the search engine- he makes beautiful wood stems which add to the beauty of vapes. I don't have an enano (yet) and this is an enano thread so apologies to enano fans- I do have an UD. I bought that because the one I bought was much cheaper than an enano and came with 4 stems. The couple who run it have never taken longer than 48 hours to respond and even sent me free equipment to adjust the temperature.
(I still plan on getting an enano at some point and am on the HI list. I love the log vapes.)
