Discontinued Inhalater INH05/5S/6

But I like it!
So I'm a pretty happy camper. The S is fast! Heat recovery time is non-existent , so the biggest worry is 'am I drawing too slowly?'. The flavour lasts a long time, too! I've been doing a session at 3/4, another on auto, and then the last session (or end the 2nd) on 8/9. The water tool adapter is perfect with a top load bubbler, and at 18mm I have to work a bit to get heater light flashing. With the wt adapter the unit fits perfectly into the wt, even hooked to the recharging cable - no stability issues.

It flashes easier without water, but not as easily as the nonS model.

In short I'm liking the S a lot. I'm looking forward to more colder weather to test thermal recovery times :)

Past the edit timeout - drat...

Anyways - just loaded Ssie up, turned on to 3, and had the WT adapter on. Thats a bit too low, but I don't wanna take the wt adapter off, so... it's a bit like sucking on a .410 shotgun barrel, or maybe a bubble tea straw is more appropriate, but it works great! And cools the vape down immensely on it's own!

And it's great with water :)

Yeah, that bubbler looks so awesome. I'll be waiting patiently to try this stuff... May or may not.... ah what the heck.... Maybe not waitn till May, but still really just dusting this stuff off in May.

I wanna thank everyone on fc in this thread and actually the former 004xp thread. Way back when in 2013 I decided to make a MUSIC related business purchase in addition to my amp and other gear. I looked at a lot of the same top rated vapes you all would be familiar with on here. I'm so glad after careful consideration that I got this this system, and I've stroked off the other designs from consideration.

If I get more black colored Inhalater vape, maybe the S model, well, I'd have 3 overall, 2 that have the water attachment, and overall about a little over a grand worth of Inhalater gear at my place!!!

No other company on the market offers a vape system that you can bong like this at home, take on the road with you easily and clean very easily.

So put me on your list INHALATER for one more of these. I'll be calling back for the black 'S' version, and I simply won't take NO for an answer, so I insist you keep making this awesome system.

thanks again

I can't imagine changing such a system specially when it works so well - I'm glad you enjoy the INH and yes the S is set and ready t ship

Professor: I play the SECOND CUP outside just west of BAY and Queens Quay I think it's YORK st. in the summer. Saturdays or Sundays. After like MAY sure you'll see me there - come down introduce yourself, let's do lunch with our vapes - hot dog stand right there. Also, from time to time Runneymede & Bloor just east of there on Bloor is a liquor store where one of the ex-members (ed harsh) of the band BLACK CROWS goes to. Come on down anytime, I'm usually at that spot on FRIDAY NIGHTS on a nice summer day. come down there for drinks, it's great

Killick: I'm jealous a bit... it will be months for me to catch up to you

INHALATER: ouch, I want that S soon, but I'll have to back burner that for now, I managed to save 2 of those rubber tips the clear ones, and wasted two... they fit your new caps. So ummm a piece of music equipment that's extinct was on ebay... because I purchased the STAGEMATE I can't do anything till the summer, but I'm a gunna wanna pony up asap for one. I'm at the right stage in my life to be buying all this stuff though, that's for sure. stagemating, ummmmmmm

ps, I can't even use 10 cents in my bubbler till MAY, but that when my birthday is, so it's all good. My p.a. is awesome, I'll be using the STAGEMATE to be carvin hers & my initials into peoples ears. she'sh!
Aint that alot!

I never tried the solo but the taste of the 05 is nice for the first draws but quickly degrades, clouds production is big at 6+ but before 6 there is nothing except if you wait a lot between hits, I prefer the Xp which heat the load more gradually and gave me more consistent low temp hits.

I expect the glass capsules will fixes the taste issue.

Where the 05 shines is the convenience of use on the go and the high quality components! but it got a lot of of good competitors now....
I was wondering if you have ever received your glass caps.... and if so what are they like...?

I have heard they are more like my tubes but Inhalater came up with a much better way to secure the screen than I did..... I also heard about some sort of Polyimide layer being added to the outside of the cap to aid with heat transference..... which sounded interesting.....

My glass tubes do NOT fit snug in the chamber... which I felt was a good thing as I feel the conduction agent is a bit to powerful as it is.....so making it work a bit harder.... I thought should be a good thing...

It does cause it to take a bit longer to get vapor production rolling....if this extra layer speeds things up and still taste good and the screen is easier to manage and clean..well then maybe I should invest.....? So I'm hoping to hear from someone who has already gotten these new glass capsules..... has anyone got these new glass capsules.... pics would be most helpful.....:peace:

HI,
The new Glass Capsules are preforming really well. The caps. are in and ready to be shipped ... offering all the benefits glass can offer as well as maintaining the advantages of using Polyimide, allowing :
> Increased longevity
> Easier cleaning and maintenance of the screens
> Generates cooler vapors
> Steadier temperatures
the Polyimide lining of the caps is not only allowing better temperature transfer and stabilization, offering a snug fit of the glass caps. to the Inhalater chamber.

My inhalater 005 from the begining was acting a bit weird ,meaning it took something like 50 hours to get from empty to full charge, some times i turned it on and after 4-5 blinks it stoped shut off with no sound on anything and i used to turn it of and on again and it worked.before some weeks while it was running on 8 it made a clicking sound and stoped working and charging for a while.from then it started shutting down more frequently and in 7 temperature...today it shut off at 6...so my story is that i bought an early xp first 3 units that came were almost dead on arrival 4th unit stayed alive 8 months then i paid again to "upgrade" the xp into 005 and some months later the 005 is dead again... i think my next call is buying an arizer air...i paying again and again to the same company + paying insane shipping costs to get problematic units time after time is really annoying and i bet again the solution inhalater is going to give me will be to buy a new unit with some discount.lets see what the new air has to say...too bad the 005 is such an unstable machine and inhalater is such an untrustworthy company...one of these two would be equalised on how well it performs when it works but combined its a no go deal...

Or you could slow that roll just a tiny bit...not saying it isn't justifiable to some degree...however in this case you might be over reacting and causing yourself to spend unnecessarily.....

If you read back a few pages we learned that they had increased a safety measure and changed the value of the thermal overload protection from 115c to 95c it was later discovered that the 95c's were tripping a bit too soon... so they are willing to fix that for you..... and they might even throw in a new glass cap for the inconvenience of having to send it back in to repair.....

I replaced my own on my 05 "S" mod.... but I'm not sure that is a good solution for everyone... however it is one of the few components that can be replaced and re-soldered....

Regardless I hate to see you cost yourself the expense of a brand new unit for something fairly trivial.....

Now if your looking for a 2nd portable to have on hand...... I too have my eye on the new Air as it does look to be very similar in many ways..... and then there are so many really cool solo water pieces that will work with the new Air.... also very appealing....:peace:

I was really happy over the holidays when the 05 was my DD, and the 05S is really kicking my butt since it arrived a few days ago. @Edward Hyde I understand your frustration - I had some when I first found the INH, purely by accident, when my doc suggested a Pax. I've never used a Pax, but once my little issue with my first Inhalater was fixed I've had no issues whatsoever. That, plus the great warranty service, make me a happy camper. I'm sure the Inhalater guys will make sure you are up and vaping again in no time.

@Old School I'm looking pretty closely at a Minivap as a portable. I like the idea of a long run time so I can set it on the workbench and pick it up between smacking things with other things. I do like the Solo and the Air, and my EQ shows they make good stuff, but I'm a huge fan of as few parts to lose as possible, which was the one thing that almost made me go another direction from Inhalater originally. I always carry a spare cap with me now :)

Just got a new water tool ! Yes that's a rocking!!!!

I got a 24 inch triple chamber Bio unit for 120$ to go with my red INH05 S

Tried a full capsule at 9 for 6 hits. That was out of this world.

Has any one got something similar for his inhalater?

I have nothing that big, but the S is a beast, especially with water (12" 10 arm)! I've even done 2 runs below 5, with flavour every single time. And then a blast or two on high - my face feels like it's melting and the ABV is dark!

lol.

Why do we do this to ourselves! :-)

Yes truly amazing those first draw at low temperature with a pack good of herbs. Kind of tickle your brains in some sense.

Have you tested with other plants? I'm a big fan of putting bits of other plants to experiment. Clove has been the most shocking. With a tiny wheny bit and it's great. First tried it with a complete one, really felt like my throat was numb.

I know why I do it :). I've never tried with other plants tho. Are there health benefits to them? Or is it purely for flavor?

I was hoping to order a few spare capsules and a couple of other small bits, a cart total of around $55. My cheapest shipping quote was $65 to the UK! Is this correct? Surely things can be sent across the pond for cheaper than that?

I'm in the US and Inhalater was happy to quote me for alternatives to the carriers listed during checkout upon request. I was told their site isn't set up to quote all of the available options.

I'm sure the options overseas are more limited than mine, but $90 seems a bit steep. Granted I'm not familiar with Canadian carriers but I've sent much larger, heavier packages that were valued at 2 or 3 times the cost of an "s" model all over Europe for less than that via USPS.

I have been using my INH 05 for about 7 months.
I love this vape!
Today I had an unforeseen happening...
I turned the unit on while En Route to a destination... and nothing happened.
I even removed the bottom dial and replaced it... but nothing happened.
After 20 minutes on the road, I became a bit desperate (I never drive without vapor).
I had the unit set to 6 on the dial, and I knocked against the side of the unit with a knuckle....
... and the blue light came on.
After the session, I charged the unit, and tried to turn it on and off numerous times, but the anomaly never returned.
I am back to happy vapor production after one solitary failure to "complete connection"

Try Vapefiend here in the UK, he has now got stock of Inhalater spares, i raised the same thing with Inhalater, too expensive to order direct from them. I have ordered a glass capsule, at last, i'll hopefully post my results when received, £12.99 tho, bit steep, we'll see :)

Hi I received yesterday my glass capsules (+a free replacement cap, thanks Inhalater!), it's very nice cause the load is a lot smaller (as a log vape load), so there is less bad taste cause it's vaped faster and there is less conduction I think (my abv is lighter in color) so it taste a bit better (it's better but not a game changer about taste imo).

Heating time is longer with the glass capsule in, maybe 2 times slower.

Capsule fit tightly in the 05 but loosely in the Xp (it can fall if you turn it upside down)

Glass seems solid (better than the Hammer stems i.e) and don't becomes hot on your lips.

Don't pack to tight cause it affect the airflow (it was not the case with classic capsules)

All in all glass capsules don't seems cheap and are a step forward in term of taste.

@PPN What is the unit you use regularly? I have not tried many: ascent solo with friends mostly.

I think taste is fantastic with the glass and with the air capsule I get some pretty cool rips. I need to try more devices. Which one you suggest?

I get a lot of devices...but I would suggest the Alfa, imo it's the better quality/price vape (and my favorite portable...actually!),
I love the Haze for concentrates and dual bowl, although tates and clouds are not the better,
the Herbstick deluxe is very near to perform as a Xp (except capsules convenience of use) and I can't speak about durability, FW is very good for taste but is completly manual and there is a fat learning curve(if you compare to a 05), T-Vape is a great device too but still not to the Inhalater's level (just a step behind although...), X-mas is great but there is still some issues (airpath, battery, bugs,....) and the master of all without any comparison with the previous vapes is the Minivap(but mine is only a corded one, not portable).

I waiting for the ESV soon....

I don't want to compare it to flame powered vape since they are completly different vape (session vape to "one hitter").

Where the Xp shines is durability, it fallen several times, was deep discharged several times too but it still works great, I prefer it to the 05 cause it produces nice vapor at low temp 4+, with my 05 I can get whispy vapor at 6-6.5 and nice at 7+, but they are enjoyable more for their big hit ability, Inhalaters are definitly very big hitters but taste suffer of this and they are definitly conduction based vaporizers, imho.....

Although I enjoy my Inhalaters more with the glass capsule, it improves the taste really (look at my previous post for my review about it)

I couldn't agree more the conduction properties being lessened with the glass is very likely what helps to improve the flavor lasting longer.....
I also noticed my ABV was lighter too... which bothered me because I was sure good stuff must still be in there.... so I 1st went with what I called the "roast and sip" which got me almost 3 to 4 more draws but as you would expect they tasted roasted of course.... so then I found another way to keep the taste almost to the inevitable.... bitter end {small pun intended}....

Anyway you might want to try this.... I call it the "5 count blitz"... seems to be a great flavor saver....
You mentioned I think that you start out on #6 right ....so let it preheat on #5 then as you wish to take a nice tasty inhalation turn it up to #7 let it stabilize {stop flashing} then give it a 5 count and begin your inhalation...at which time you give another 5 count and turn it back down to #5 and finish your inhalation with it on #5..... although you can use this method for the entire 2 or 3 sessions.... I quickly found I wouldn't start to really use it until the last run were the dial is up above #7.....

So for me I typically have a run on 5.5...then another on 6.5 and then I go with #7 that blitz's to #9.5

I believe the Inhalater is so powerful at the higher temperatures that it will scorch and ruin taste very quickly so there's a bit of a catch 22 there...... on the one hand we know letting it build up a bit in between draws helps to improve cloud production but on the flip side {at least at the higher temps} the longer all that power is idle the more scorching and ruining of flavor will happen....
With 5 count blitz method on my last run I haven't tasted burnt popcorn in quite some time...... and don't miss it...... I too have grown rather fond of tasting my herbal meds....:peace:

I always start on 3.5. I can do one, sometimes 2 sessions below 5. 2nd or 3rd session on auto, and if in a rush I turn it up to 7 or 8 to finish. When I turn it to 8 I get 3 or 4 more draws, but they are thick! When they go clear the abv a nice dark coffee colour. If I'm greedy I reload fast and do another at 3 just for the flavour (head crushing flavour:)
