Just my opinion, take it for what it is :) I've been through A LOT of vapes, and I've sold most of them, so I'm fussy.

You should look into The Lotus and The Hammer. for your friend..those are the two vapes all my friends enjoy, even those who would combust regularly...they prefer to vape when they come to my place, which is a running joke now! I also used to LOVE smoking, but I find vaping so much more enjoyable, now. I hate smoke now.

I made the mistake of buying a Volcano early on (yes, I said mistake) and I got so bored with it. It's too medicinal, no technique, nothing ritualistic, the most boring way to vape. I also owned the Pax, and actually disliked it. Design does not trump vapor quality, their priorities were backwards. Vapor was garbage compared to other vapes, and cleaning gets tedious. When I found my Lotus and Hammer, I ditched combustion all together, as have many of my friends. Honorable mention to the Solo (and I'm sure the Air is great) as well as my MFLB, cool vapes that enter my cycle on that rare day.

I guess my point is, there may be other options for her that are actually available to purchase :)

Oh man, that lack of a shipping date in the most recent update is not promising, given still no shipping date! This is why I don't get in on vape pre-orders/crowdfunds...

Hope you guys who paid get something good after all this waiting!

Yep I don't see the point of crowdfunding. I see it as organized begging. But this thing is looking promising imo. Looking at the form, if it works well, despite the delays this will be a smash hit (haha - note to self; thanks Captain Obvious)

Does anybody have the balls to order now? I finally got a password and account after following their link in an email(I was on the wait list). I almost pulled the trigger but I know I should wait two months after it's out to see if there are problems. But man are they tricking me good if this thing isn't amazing. The only thing I'm worried about is flavor and fuming (every single portable vaporizer has had this problem for me).

I am curious of how precise you can be with the temperature control because it has a very wide range.

Providing a shipping date before you are certain that you can deliver on it is a sure-fire way to piss off way more people than you do if you don't announce a date. Check some of the old threads to see how manufacturers who miss shipping dates are treated. If it were me, my shipping date announcement would be "Now shipping!" and nothing before.

I agree with With Paka, I like the way Arizer came out with the Air. They didn't say much about it and bam it was here. Davinci pissed a lot of people off when they announced several dates that the Ascent would be available and 6 months later it finally came out into the marketplace. I'm on the waiting list to find out about this vape pen.

I don't want to get this until it's physically at the online store. I'm not interested in a preorder.

Yeah, thats somewhat similar to my own experience and hers. Tho I bought her volcano off her, and bought myself a PnP. She isnt really a fan of her Pax at all, me neither tbh.

Still, my friend has already purchased a grasshopper when they were cheap at the start of the campaign so im really hoping itll work for her. If not, Im selling my volcano anyway and getting a Lilly for sure :D

I waited untill the crowd funding was over and they started pre-ording. I think pre-ordering can be a good thing. It can give the opportunity to not over estimate the products demand. Hopefuly eleminating wasteful production costs. That is my thought on this pre order anyway. I paid for my Ti Grasshopper through paypal. You are protected by Paypal for 180 days, even though I feel I won't need it. It does makes it easier knowing I can recover my funds. I have had to do this in the past with 1 other manufacture. But, I have corresponded with Trevor through emails, he has always responded quickly and professionally. I have little doubt in there ability to produce the product as intended, or I would not have placed my money there. I agree with others in that the last update was fine. There forthcoming with there process and I haven't personally felt left in the dark. I am excited for this one. :tup:

Pre ordered as soon as I could, would've backed if I hadnt missed the campaign. I've dealt with fumers for portable conduction vapes, but never on pure convection (ie Elevape, Firefly, Thermovape) like this is supposed to be, its just not as common of an issue since they're on demand heating and taste is almost always stellar with convection as well. The design of this, and the time and thought put into it, make me confident it will deliver, eventually. Lifetime warranty too

Always remember lifetime means life of the company, I remember one graphics card manufacturer offered it, went under, and so did everyone warranties.

Yeah though I have extreme faith in this vape.

This morning as soon as I received 'Grasshopper Vape Pre-Order', I placed order for Titanium Grasshopper with 2 extra batteries :rockon: I am sorry for those who were waiting for ages but my holy 3 months waiting time now begins!

I got my pre order too, how come this is this still a thread candidate? is this because noone has received one yet? if not what are the rules? is it safe to order? do pre-orders mean they are sorted and legit etc, i'd hate to get roped into somthing at the last moment....

No one has one yet. No shipping date announced but it seems as though it'll be released.

It is because no one actually has one (outside of the company) and thus all there is to do is make wild speculations, talk about boxes, complain about shipping slips, and fail to read even the previous page (let alone the last 10-20) before posting the same questions over and over again:

Oh... wait... that last issue happens in final threads just as much as candidates. :) :) :)

But long story short, there has to be some worthwhile usage information that someone coming here will learn from, and there just isn't any of that until members/reviewers get their hands on it.


EDIT: And add the the list of useless content, multiple replies to the same question, 'cause some people are quicker on the reply than those of us who just yammer away at the keyboard trying to be funny....

EDIT 2: "Is it safe to order?" Who knows. Presumably, yes. But you won't know until it is in your hand. Some people have ordered with a means of reversing the charges, in case it doesn't ship in time. Other people think it is just fine. Others, like myself, don't want to order until they see actual FC reviews that indicate it is performing as claimed. Really, it's your call with what you feel comfortable with....

Well that is what i no already, I'll leave the doggy work to you guys ;) i'll give it a miss until sombody has one, i can wait longer, i mean pre order on a pre order of pre orders, get the 1st 1's out 1st! maybe i am on my own or maybe i am just sensible

This is just a thread candidate everything in here gets thrown away when they start the official thread on the products release and when reviews are available.

Unfortunately the gH folks never have time to come in here to chat but I'm fine with them working on the product instead.

EDIT: And as to the idea of locking down a thread to only the manufacturer until product release, well... FC isn't a publicist publishing press releases. If the information makes it here (a lot of times it is an FC member that gets wind and posts what they find, with no manufacturer participation -- I forget, but do any of the grasshopper people participate here? I thought all of the communication from them was second hand from teh Facebooks and email?), it is here for all of us to dissect, salivate over, call shenanigans, call it the best thing since sliced bread, etc etc etc. We're all free to contribute all the speculation and third-hand "information" we care to... until the product is out.

Then the posts (should) change and the caliber of the comments (hopefully) is high.

So you feel that with all of the delays and questionable updates, that no one should speculate to help either validate or invalidate the concerns that many here have? Do you not feel that some of the dialogue that is going on here may actually help those in making a wise decision in future fund raising campaigns such as this?

And finally, do you not feel that there actually is a certain entertainment value that FC offers up here? :brow:
