ACE OF VAPE

Vape outside the box

I've been working overtime making E-Nanos as I will be leaving the country tonight until Feb 10th. Nadia will be holding down the fort. There may be shipping delays (if she runs out of stock of anything), but there won't be screw ups. (she's way more organized than me.)

Mine is on the way:) I have a question about this vape. Is it cool enough with just the stock stems or is a water pipe the way to go? I'm finding my Solo is getting a bit rough and wondering how these compare and if I really need to get a water pipe to run it through if I want the vapor to be smooth and cool. I am thinking about getting some kind of water pipe for my Solo and I suppose I could use it with this too but curious how it is on it's own...?

I think it depends on how often you vape, the stem has better flavor, but I find towards the end of
the day I need to hit the water. Before I got the water tools I over did it one night, man my
throat and even my lungs felt scorched in the am.

In my opinion, if you want the full experience of what the e-nano is capable of you need to use a water pipe. Stems are ok on lower temps but they are far too harsh for me at the temps I like to be at without going through my D020-D.

I use a water pipe with the NANO.
SOLO both stem and bubbler.
FC187 and a D022 are my tools for the NANO!

I want to vouch for Nadia. I had to send one of mine in for a warranty issue, I emailed her for a status update late in the day on Thursday, she responded after hours, and my new unit showed up today.

Very happy camper here.

Stock stems work great. I'd say harshness on the throat on par or a little better than the solo, but depends on temps used, material, etc. The nano does pair much better than solo with water IMO. Mostly due to less restricted draw. Also, temp control and other tweaks give you more flexibility with nano and efficiency isn't really worth comparing. IME nano does the same with a 1/3 as much or less. If you like the solo, you'll probably love the nano. Only con for it in the comparison is that you have to be within a few yards of an electrical receptacle.

If you haven't checked out the Cheap Bubbler thread yet, you should. Many cheap pieces of glass to be had from China. Quality isn't usually what you find from better blowers, and takes a few weeks to get stuff to US, but can grab a decent piece for $30 - $40 including shipping.

Plenty of great info about the nano right here, a good bit in the last 10 or so pages. Check it out.

Thanks for all the replies :)

I have been reading up on the thread but I started way back somewhere (got there indirectly one night, somehow) and that's what led me to grab one.

I like that it is so efficient, from what I read. One stem on the Solo last's me two or three short sessions (last session great for sleep), which already seems pretty good to me. I don't use much material anyway but I really like the idea of being able to use tiny amounts and extract them quickly and fully. I hope I'm correct in assuming this will perform in that way.

Question. If using the dry stem can you have the enano and stem upright (like the solo) or should you have it angled? I thought flat or angled but watching some youtube videos has me wondering?

You can have it upright, but I try not too. With the solo, the glass sits down in that little chamber so less prone to spillage. With the nano glass on outside of heat element, it's easy for crumbs to fall in. Also, think it's better to keep loose, dry duff out of the screen that protects heater element. I don't think any particular angle affects performance. Nothing that I've noticed, anyway.

Just another reason I like using a water piece... nano stays inverted.

J hook with the gong is a good way to go dry. That way you can just invert the nano onto the gong every time you take a hit.
The way the nano functions works really well this way, as you're only holding the unit to the gong while you're drawing.

Having said that, I rarely do this or use the nano dry tbh (that's what the lotus is for). It truly shines when paired to a bubbler  and that's how I do probably 99% of my vaping.

And @Tanz yes, you are absolutely correct in thinking that you'll be able to quickly and fully extract from tiny amounts. You'll be amazed... Fortunately the nano handles larger loads very well too ;)

One observation about being an Enano owner ... on this site calling a member a fanboy is considered to be a pretty serious breach of ettiquete. I am unashamedly an Epicvape fanboy and proud of it lol. I dont think Im the only one either. No offence to fangirls intended.

^ Exactly!

I prefer to use my Nano with either a j-hook, or a steamroller - This ensures the nano is upright. Pro tip - if you want to add a pinch of moisture to your J-Hook, add 25 to 50mL of water to the bent neck. It provides a nice 'natural perc' action without removing too much flavor from the hit

I tried the stems, but personally, I'm a bit crazy about preventing ABV from falling into the nano's heater core.

I believe that if you angle it for the first one or two draws then you should be good to leave it upright.

But I still prefer a thinner screen on top of my load, for easy shaking instead of stirring.

I tried the stems, but personally, I'm a bit crazy about preventing ABV from falling into the nano's heater core.

I doubt any would make it through. It requires some suction to pull the dust through the screen. Even if some did, it would just burn up on the nano's heater.

I've had debris blow back into my SSV's ceramic heater without any ill effects, so I doubt a lil ABV dust will be harmful.

I was originally very neurotic to measure my screen depth and carefully make sure no plant matter came in contact with the heater core's screen.

Now I am careless in comparison, and have even dropped a loose pile of Kief in the stem, using the metal post of the heater to pack it into the bowl for the first hit. Even this sticky stuff quickly turns to dust and leaves no residue on the E-Nano.'s screen.

If worse came to worse and I had to clean that screen, I would rig a small, shallow cup of alcohol to soak the tip in until it was spotless.

I'm constantly flicking bits of herb off my heater screen. Sometimes a chunk will stick.

I've burnt off concentrates from my heater screen, too...

You'd never know it to look at it. And, it hurts NOTHING. I've actually filled my gong and COMPRESSED the herb using the heater... no problems, at low temps. At 6+, it might char a bit is all.

I demo the skimpiest bit of herb to show how much vapor you can get... in practice, I often use a bit more, cuz I'm not chasing clouds.. just relief. :)

So what's really the difference between this and the Solo? Looks like a copied design from Solo to me with very little difference between the both...

Lol, it's a whole lot different. The PWM Dimmer switch gives you some more control over temperatures (low temp for essential oil aromatherapy, high temperature for concentrates). And the Nano has a long ceramic core. The real secret sauce to log vaporizers is the wood. This helps insulate and trap some heat. In the Nano's case, a pre-heated nano will perform way better than a cold nano (I usually leave mine on 24/7).. Once it get's going, it's unstoppable - so much heat on tap. Doesn't matter how hard you rip the vape, it'll keep up

There are quite a few people on this thread who have both vapes - http://fuckcombustion.com/search/22508147/?q=solo&t=post&o=date&c[thread]=7844
