It’s February and everything is going well. As expected, the new Front Ends, Dials, and Sheaths came in early last week. We’ve been building Grasshoppers using these improved parts, and testing functionality and durability. Our manufacturer reports that the revised Charger pcbs will be completed this coming week and should be in our hands by Friday.

After constructing Grasshoppers using the new parts, we are pleased with the results. The finishes on the different sections match nicely, the Sheath fits perfectly around the Clip, and the Dial turns smoothly with the perfect amount of resistance. The small gap between the Front End and Body has also been fixed. See some pictures below.

Testing the Grasshopper has been one of the major tasks over the last few weeks. This has gone incredibly well, with only very minor issues being revealed with the final design. Our extensive design work and small production batches are the main factors that have prevented any major issues.

We know that many of you are eager to see more videos and a review of the Grasshopper. A new video showing normal use and operation will be released this coming week. A review video will follow that.

We are getting very close to delivery, and it’s our top priority that everyones receives Hoppers that function well and look great. Once the new chargers come in, we'll have a good idea of when exactly the first units will go out. Check back soon for the new video.

i am very glad i didn't invest in one of these. my cup doesn't exactly runneth over with money and i'd still be sitting unmedicated or smoking if this is where my budget had gone.

i got that distinct, "too good to be true" vibe when eying this some year or so ago.

i hope it proves worth the wait for all of you that pulled the trigger.

New charger pcbs in by Friday leading to first shipments out, testing going "incredibly" well, fit and finish of new parts meet their quality standards and videos on the way. Sounds good to me!

Looking forward to the rave reviews of all the happy backers who gladly waited years for a pen that claims to output 30watts of power for 3 hours.:worms:
I'm thinking this vape will appeal to people who love the MFLB (aka low tolerance), and guys who love pens.

I have a deep love for pens. If I click the grasshopper twice does a retractable ink pen pop out?

Edit: At what point can this thread graduate from Candidate to full-fledged?

Actually, I thought the Grasshoper guys sent out a well thought out, well written, professional , informative and honest update. I like their attention to detail and the fact that they are not rushing the finished product. They obviously want it to be as perfect as possible before sending it to customers. Of course there's bound to be at least minor issues with the device after launch, but that's to be expected.

I for one am staying positive and believe their final product will function as advertised!!

This is what I'm hoping. A friend of mine purchased one very early in the campaign and Im really hoping this is the one to help her stick to vaping. She's already been thru a volcano and pax and neither have really fit the bill. After my own experience with a portable that seemingly went thru its testing way too publicly for my liking, I'm really hoping this has been tested to high heaven* ;)

Also, I'll get to try it extensively :)

*unless of course this is like one of those films that never screens for critics before general release :)
