Discontinued Daisy vaporizer by Triihouse

I know I'm still in my honeymoon period, but I love my Daisy more everyday. It's such an elegant device, but also a big hitter that's pretty much delivering instant and powerful heated air. I find myself saving on electricity by not firing up my electric desktop and reaching for Daisy instead. I am just so surprised at how well it delivers in the head dept, deceptively strong (hopefully I won't develop a Daisy tolerance too soon). The flavor is also improving after a few days of use as well, less woody taste in the hits, I consider this the "seasoning" process.

It's also a lot of fun to use and experiment with. I don't find myself drawn to other torch vapes like the Lotus, Vapman or Genie, but this design I found more to my liking.

The design is so well thought out with the placement of the magnets -- did you know that if you try to put the heater block on top of the herb chamber block backwards, the magnets will resist and not allow it? Very cool.

That said, some constructive observations:

--The stock torch takes several seconds for the flame to go out after I stop pressing the trigger, is this normal or is there a fix I'm unaware of? Time to research better torches, although I just figured out how to get this one to stand up properly with the loose fitting foot it comes with.

--The glass neck gets fogged up very quickly, after only just a few sessions and I find I need to swab it out with a q-tip so I can see the vapor better again.

Like others, I am surprised this vape doesn't get more attention, it is unique and highly effective. Daisy needs more love from the FC community, I mean this thing rocks hard.

Try purging your lighter. It might help.

I'm not crazy about the stock lighter...personally. It's the perfect size, but I don't care for the ergonomics of it and I have other torches that work better.

I don't bother cleaning the neck. I can just make out the vapor anyways because my eyes aren't great.

It's definately a unique peice. More dissimilar to the Vapor Genie, Lotus and Vapman than like them. It's worth getting for anyone wanting to try a whole new vaping experience.

For some reason, all my torch lighters do this eventually. My Lotus lighter and my torch from the lhs do it. Maybe I should purge as well, @basement farmer ?

Lighters seriously piss me off when they don't work correctly. They really are the weak link in my vaporizing enjoyment.

Purging works miracles in my experience.

Here's what I do (it might seem over the top):

Leave the lighter somewhere warm for 20 minutes or more
depress the valve and release the propelant.
repeat the warming and bleed process until you don't hear any more hissing.
The idea is to get as much of the remaining gas out of the lighter and warming the lighter enhances the ability to do so by expandng it.

Put the lighter in your freezer for 20 minutes or more
fill with butane
let the lighter warm up and use
chilling the lighter allows you to fill it further leaving less dead space, which improves performance.

I know, I sound like I'm full of shit, but try this with lighter that allows you to see your tank level and you'll see with your own eyes. Prepare to be amazed.

mod note: Following this advice can be extremely dangerous. Please read OF's warning post later in this thread.

It should work better after this treatment. Sometimes it takes a little cajoling to get it to fire up on the first click, but eventually you'll work all the inert gas out of the line and it will function better.

Ha Ha good one Luther,
Hey farm dude or dudett, that seems like the killer method of refilling a torch.
Limp torches are like .. well you know, frustrating. This refrigerator process is over the top but it can't miss.

I really chimed in to brag about finally getting the hand eye game spot on so I can use my periphery vision to scope out how dense the vapor in the tube is so that I don't cough my head off.
I might have to give my other vapes to the less fortunate.

I am continuously amazed with Daisy's taste, potency, and efficiency.
I load around 0.25g~0.30g and I get around 7 sweet candish moist tasty vapors that has same effect I get from 8 min session at 395F on my Crafty! This thing really rocks! There is no doubt that I love Daisy!

I met the voluptuous Daisy yesterday at the local post office after her long flight out from the States. To my pleasent surprise she had brought along her slender little sister, Lily. :brow:

I decided I would take Daisy out first. I was taking it slow with Daisy, as I don't like getting burnt. Now, I like going out in cloudy weather but there was not a cloud in the sky. Still, the date was making me surprisingly happy. Then, as I started to step things up with Daisy, it started getting cloudy - real cloudy! This, as you could imagine, put a very big smile on my face!

Will report back on my date with Lily.

Thanks Tommy for your generosity in sending the girls over to me.

Yeah I dont think Tommy was ready for you to say anything yet @Tom Funk, but if he said it was fine then more power to ya. But since you already broke the silence that I've been holding back for months, the Lily kicks ass guys. Its the Daisys little sister, and it pocketable, and 5x more efficient. Its better IMO.

Well then with that description I'll be Buying one as soon as he's offering 'em for sale (as long as it's not before this coming Wednesday).
I don't even need to see pictures or know anymore about it.
I Love my Daisy so much ... "better" hardly seems possible to me. Can't wait to have one.

I have just spoken to Tommy and the Lily will be available within few days.
It's much more efficient and it's size of iphone 4 but much thicker and it will be $79.
I am definitely in too!

What awesome news! I don't expect it but if it had a nice size integrated stash area to store/load material from, I would be in heaven, almost all portables seem to be missing this kind of feature.

Sorry all, for the lack of response about Lily - time zone and all. Had my morning date with Lily and I've been walking in the clouds ever since - in fact, too much so to to get back to you any quicker.

Lily is a different girl to Daisy but they share the common good family traits.

Lily is a worthy competitor to Lotus - more pocketable in my opinion. Lightning quick, massive hits, very even vaporization.

Will return later with pics.

God bless the creative hands of the Maestro, Tommy.

Oh and the best news....Tommy left a note in my shipment letting me know that he is working on "new products" that may be available in the upcoming month. No other details, but I'm really curious what they might be.

Even though it feels wrong for some reason, I am quoting my own post, not for any ego thing, but to note the plurality of "new products". This is what Tommy's note said, not a typo, so what else is up his sleeve? Intriguing.

Lily looks almost exactly like a one-hitter dugout. It has a small cutout in its interior as a means of storage for the intake stem (where the flame goes), and the mouthpiece slides in and out with ease and can be pushed right back into the lily for good pocket feel upon finishing. I just like how long it seems to take loads and how consistent and fool proof it is. My friends who would combust with the Daisy had no problems working the lily efficiently. Its really a great lille device. I'd recommend it to anyone, even to those who somehow may not have liked the daisy. (If those people even exist..) I also feel like even though they both are very similar, they fulfill different roles in a vape line-up. Lily is a heavy hitter but makes the load last a considerable amount of hits longer. Win-win! :brow:

Well the cats out of the bag...

Should someone start a lily thread?

She's a little cutie.

Tommy makes a heck of a product and runs a customer friendly small business.
