I trusted other people to use my sub too soon...
I went downstairs to check on the ribs and steaks I was cooking, and one of my now acquaintances put both pieces of the Sub on a plastic bag assuming it wasn't "hot enough" to melt it... let it be known this is a person who the same day wanted to brand the logo on himself because it would be "funny"... I need more highly educated friends..

I've dropped mine on the carpet once, so far, it stuck immediately (melted) I scraped what I could off right away while it was hot, then just took some steel wool to the rest, it came off. I have the SS original sub.

I think back about 100 pages or so Enrico (while still present) posted that a piece of denim would work well to scrape the Apollo heat while its hot without risking damage. I've used that trick a few times with great success.

Same thing right down to the steel wool (actually a curly steel scrubber)

Yup, as @Home_piece has rightly pointed out, a hot Sub and some old denim jeans will most likely do the trick . . . . oh and a silicone oven proof mit, just to help you be safe - as originally posted here by @CG420 a while back ⬇

Turn Sublimator to max watt (crank the dial to max) and in about 5 to 7 minutes it will be hot enough to wipe down with your jeans. I don't know how you would rid things out from the craters but let's hope you don't have that issue here. Try it and see if it works out for you. It did for me when I dropped my Apollo on the carpet floor.

@Danvapereviews I feel your pain, I like to keep things v.cleeean too but I'm sure you'll manage to restore your Sub back to it's former glory with a little TLC.

Had been restored ever since I sent it in for diagnostics and they sent me a brand new one with a brown cord instead of my originally black corded timer box. Haven't been having a problem since. It stills performs the same and I haven't used it much but as far as droppage of watts are of concerns, it doesn't get any exposure to higher watts since I use it exclusively for flowers now.

I'm only using my Sub solo now. Same friend dropped sub on carpet and melted flame retardant plastic on it..


He tried shoving in the sublimator's atomizer into his 10mm Female joint. Pushed too hard and
broke his bong's 10mm joint and then used my FUCKING SUBLIMATOR as a hammer to hit off the cracked joint piece... Never sharing again.

Is there anyone who owned a Herborizer before this? I picked the Herbo due to the glass, And i use a 29.2 roor glass screen to further the glass on glass. But with small amounts i feel i get no cloud even on max 230c. Im using a small EHLE 100ml.

The big tube they supply sucks, way too big and now im thinking i wasted my money and should of paid double for the sublimator heating element addon without the glass or whips. Or do i need more material? I find i cannot currently supply my herbo and i have to go without for half the week because the bowl needs packed. I get high, But just not the clouds and old smoking satifaction from that.

The thing is though, The sublimator takes say half a gram in one go and that is all you get right? Where as my Herbo will instead deliver more faint vapor but for longer. It is a comparison of a bong hit versus a joint in a way no? Having the herbo would allow you to chill without reloading.

Or is the sublimator even more efficent? And how does it compared on the residue my Herbo is SOO clean i only get a sticky residue and no colors which means i am getting no tars or anything bad and the only non glass part of my vape is the heating element. The sublimator has metal on the outside, The heating element and i guess the gauze is metal too?

I dislike heating any kind of metal over and over by the way and think in time small amount of bad things happen. I am the kind of person who would never smoke BHO oil and would instead prefer ice wax or bubble in a all glass boro hot hit wand and slide like the version Illadelph have. A TI nail is just not something i would ever have around due to cleaning.

Does anyone have any cleaning tips?

Can I only do a burn off with the dabmaster or can I use iso.....I know the actual heating element cant get wet but im unsure on the most effective method.

Im also having issues dabbing, im messing around with different temp settings but im getting no where near the clouds or as medicated as if were dabbing with a torch etc.....im sure I just gotta find that sweet spot or just get the hang of dabbing in general since im pretty new to it....

You guys might want to post in the Sublimator 2.0 thread. I have the 1.0 version with the timer and it still works like the day I got it.

Pretty sure the vapexnail won't fit in a cloud+.

The restrictions in the bamboo are in a different place and don't allow it to fit iirc.

Yeah I think people are confusing my cloud plus for a cloud evo =[

Also i'd like to add that switching up the strain made a huge difference to clouds and taste, I find the blue cheese or more moist buds work way better in the cloud, but dry high quality herbs work AMAZING in the sublimator. So it really comes down to the product your using. These things are both beasts and I can't really pick a favorite of the two, I like mixing it up.

I can understand your response, specifically regarding the Dabmaster but I'd think that cleaning tips would be fairly universal & apply to both V1 & V2 Subs, Apollo or Dabmaster.

Or am I wrong?

Personally I have never used ISO on my Apollo & would suggest that a max power burn off should generally be all that is required.

If OCD is knocking I'm sure a careful wipe with an ISO moistened cloth on areas you can reach would do no harm.

Or, if it's been given some serious abuse then there's the hot Sub & denim trick for removing melted carpet & such like.

I have actually never really felt the need to clean my Apollo as it's mostly driving flower, and the occasional dab seems to come away clean

no offence but i've shared the sub with multiple people, some complete vapor noobies, it doesnt sound like the sub is the problem, sounds like your friend is, haha he might of had too many hits from the sub.

Just made my order for an Apollo Ti, was gonna wait for payday but that's just silly. The missus isn't around so I'm safe for now.

Now I've only got to find a small actuator or pet monkey to keep power cycling for me.
