those results do look wrong... I have never tried THC concentrates because flowers are pretty much to potent for me...

@Snappo not to disrupt the topic but I thought the purpose of decarbing was to turn the THC to THCa for the purpose of oral consumption... going by what i had thought than the THCa would be useless for "dabs"... idk...
Other way around with the THC/THCA conversion explanation. Decarb processes THCA into THC. Not the other way around ;)

Still, we are somewhat off-topic here so perhaps another thread could be started for decarb discussion.

However, please be mindful not to venture into discussion of the actual cultivation of cannabis in any such thread as this is against the rules.

"Decarboxylation is a chemical reaction that releases carbon dioxide (CO2). This means a chemical reaction takes place in which carboxylic acids loose a carbon atom from a carbon chain. This process converts THCA to THC, the much loved compound with many medicinal and psychoactive effects. When the cannabis drys, it very very slowly begins to decarboxylate and converts THCA to THC."
http://www.marijuanagrowershq.com/decarboxylating-cannabis-turning-thca-into-thc/
"When we heat cannabis to convert the THCA and CBDA into THC and CBD, we are also converting THC to CBN at a faster rate. At about 70% decarboxylation, we actually start converting THC to CBN at a faster rate than we are converting THCA to THC, so as you can see by the following graph, after about 70% decarboxylation, the levels of THC actually start to fall sharply."

Ok, now I've got some questions. Firstly, about the obvious plant material in this oil - which OL themselves admit is there does not show up in this analysis. Surely the MS they used can detect chlorophyll and other plant materials?

I can not give you an explanation for that, I just provided a sample to the association to be analyzed by a independent laboratory and I'm just sharing the results with you guys as the lab sent.

Furthermore, when I googled Not for Human, I could not find anything at all about this organization. Can you please provide the original name of the organization in French?

The original name of the association is "Not For Human", it is a an association constituted in accordance with the French law of 1901, you can find more information at http://notforhuman.fr/. I'm not part of this association but landrace can give you more information about it.

Finally - if OL has what are essentially pure THC dabs, how do these get past French customs officials and authorities when entering the country?
I don't know either.

I want to see replication of these results[...]
I'm totally agree with this.

I had a good long conversation with OL today over the phone. I am satisfied that his methods are sound, and in fact, the man is super forthcoming and honest with this information :) Moreso than I would ever expect someone to be with their 'secret herbs and spices' so to speak!

Chris strikes me as a super friendly, down-to-earth guy who is happy to discuss very detailed specifics of the work that he does. As someone who has a good understanding of the science of separation - his tek as described to me checks out :)

@futaie Are there any English speaking staff at notforhuman.fr? I would love to speak to them and see if I can get some answers to my questions! :)

Great Scott!
I quite frankly think those results have to be wrong. All of my THC concentrates feel remarkably different from the CBD oils. I think no matter who is doing the testing, we need multiple tests from different testing sites to even get a baseline idea of what is accurate or not.

I've sent an email to @mcrlabs to see if they have any interest in this. They are pretty busy with the state of MA being about ready to open its first dispensaries. I know I trust their testing, I've met with some of them personally. I hope they can run a sample, but its horrible timing to ask that of them TBH. We will see what happens.

This is great news! Thanks so much for doing this man! It really is ideal to get as many tests as possible to have any reliability.

Please ask them to explain the testing methodology in as much detail as possible. Also if possible, please have the results focus on cannabinoids, all other terpenoids, residual solvents and this might really be pushing it, but an analysis of other plant material too!

I'd love to see an exhaustive analysis from an organization who have earned their chops in the testing of MMJ specifically. This would be the coolest thing I've ever seen on FC!

MCR labs contacted me back. Looks like we just need to figure out the arrangements to get them the oil for HPLC testing.

I will be using the everclear hash @futaie submitted, I just don't know which specific strain I have anymore, but its made the same way.

MCR agrees those results seem wacky.

Perfect - HPLC/MS is the ideal way to test cannabis products, straight from the scientific literature :D

Also yup, there is definitely something up with the first results! That plant material doesn't just go for a walk when the mass spectrometer does it's thing lol

It appears the concentrates are out of stock. Has anyone tried the H3O?
I think that things for the new OL launch are going extremely well! Stay tuned for my report sometime next week when I receive my special custom ordered formulations based on the original Dark Side of The Moon & Canibdol 3000 mg. products! I have been so impressed with the relief I've had with both original products that I just had to think them through to the next level. Chris is amazing to work with and is a magical wizard of the art when it comes to extremely effective formulations! ENJOY!!!

Hello,

I just found this product from naturalwonoil.com :
http://www.naturalwonoil.com/collections/pure-cbd-oils/products/pure-cbd-paste-12-non-filtered

15% RAW CBD past (Certified Organic) :
As of popular demand: our new RAW/pure 15% organic CBD concentrate.
Bottling: In syringe with cap.
Content/Ingredients: 85% raw food grade ethanol extracted cannabinoid paste & 15% hemp seed oil.
Test levels: CBD content: 275mg CBD. Contains 0.2% THC. CBD-A ca 1%
Variants:
Origin: Galicia (Class 2) - only organic, not certified organic
Origin: Alpujarra (Class 1) - certified, same CBD% but more properties as the terpenes/cannabinoid levels are higher.
Filtering: Raw filtered 220microns.
Storage: Must be kept refrigerated to remain potent.
Syringe: food grade 2ml
As pure as can be made from destillation with our own food grade alcohol. We still recommend our other infusions products as for ex 2X and 4X as they have cannabinoids left intact without evaporation of THC. Properties/potency are not better with higher % - they are often lower because many cannabinoids and terpenes have either been evaporated or polluted with chemical extraction. We avoid contamination by using our own organic & own destilled 96% alcohol.
Raw material: Made from Spanish certified EC-hemp, our organic Alpujarra or Galician hemp. 100% legal and regulated.
Production: QWET Ethanol extracted: There are no left over toxins as we use real pure food grade ethanol.
We use cold wash method so as little klorofyl and plant particles as possible remain.
CBD oil (paste!) can be used in various compounds and combinations. Dilute it with an oil of your choice for consumption or simply take it raw under the tongue for treatment.
Certification/Test: Our lab certificate is from Alpha-Cat (Aug 2014) BEFORE THC evaporation. After processing raw EC-hemp we THC-separate the oil through heat evaporation (152,0 C at one hour). The remaining oil has lower than 0.2% THC if any.
Dosage: 4-10 drops 3 times per day. Each drop contains a 1/60 of a ml. Example: take 10 drops a day = 22 mg CBD.

Does anyone know this vendor or already tried their products ?

(I have just learned that my father has lung cancer so I'm trying to find others CBD products to help him as I have no access to olorganics.com)

It is not super clear, but that description sounds like they take a standard crude ethanol extraction and heat the material for so long that the THCA becomes THC and then finally CBN. Basically, this stuff will make you sleepy as hell if this is the case.

Those test percentages for cannabinoids are pretty terrible. There are likely flowers which could give you a better/similar source of CBD with similar THC right off the plant! Unfortunately of course, unless you can source CBD rich flowers and make your own oil, this might be the best you can find!
