Arizer Air Aficionado
Hello again :)

I was wondering what you guys use to transport your vape and stems around with you?

I go out for long mountain bike sessions but also something just to keep the Air, a few stems, the stirring tool and some of your favorite herb all nice and together when going round a friends.

I remember for the gameboys you used to get these semi rigid zip up cases, I think something like that could be great.

Was thinking something along these lines? http://www.play.com/stores/igadgitz/listing/666494860

Thanks,

Jordan

Thanks for the suggestion, certainly does look very durable.

Im kind of looking for something a bit more minimal though, not too much larger than the vape itself.

I hear you....problem is that this vaporizer is sort of a semi-portable in my opinion, so if you want it to be secure, especially with the stems then you will be stuck with something a bit on the large size.

This is what I'm using:
http://www.puffitup.com/Arizer-Solo-Vaporizer-case-p/solovatracase.htm

Since it's designed for Solo, it's the right length, with Air being smaller there's plenty of room for stash and a spare battery. Lots of padding but still compact.

It's your call about PVHE GonGs.

PVHEGonG Features:
  • same bowl size as a standard stem
  • micro channel technology
  • multiple air entry points
PVHEGonG Shorty
  • 30% smaller bowl size
  • micro channel technology
  • multiple air entry points
  • deeper heat penetration for more thoroughly extracted botanicals
  • overall adapter length remains unchanged from non shorty
Turbo Option
  • Large Single Bore with a glass rim to hold the required screen
  • micro channel technology
  • multiple air entry points
Includes:
  • (1) x PVHEGonG of your choice
  • (1) x Custom Solo Stainless Steel screen

If I were you I would buy more than one and see which you prefer. These fit the Solo, but will work for the Air too.

I hope that's not too confusing. Check out Planetvape at the bottom of the FC pages. Or talk with JoDa glass, he's doing some special stuff.
thanks, but I was asking for your opinion and everyone else as well. I prefer good ole actual feedback especially with air users using gongs personally. I'd love to know what they "recommend" :-)

I am also using this case. Originally gifted by Randy for the Solo. It has tons of room. I did a test to see what I could fit in there and I maxed it out, so dont think that I travel with all of this:
1. Arizer Air+extra Battery
2. Two AAir stems
3. Pax Vaporizer
4. 1.5" kannastör Grinder(2pc)
5. 1.25" Diamond Grind(4pc)
6. Jyarz classic
7. MFLB brush

It still zips close.

A small Advil pill container keeps the shortest stem from breaking & stinking. It's freakin cold here now so the Air stays in my warmest pocket to prolong battery life when outdoors.
Thats exactly what I use! If u wanna preload it cover the top with tin foil carefully cuz the caps wont fit in the container

Nice! Never though of foil…

Had to indent the middle of the Advil cap's insert to get the stem to fit with MP seal. It's that tight!

You can edit your address on paypal's site.
yes but it probably doesn't work... tried changing my primary email yesterday, but it gives me 2 security questions I have to answer before I can change anything, and one of those is 'what was the color and brand of your first car' I've never had a car, nor do I have a driver's license....

You should be able to change email address, or add one if i remember right. I have two emails linked to mine.
Call them and they should help you on the phone.
And if you buy something you should be able to leave a different address to ship to.

I've been putting mine through the paces, using it full time for the last few days.
Currently this is my favorite setup:
imagejpg2_zps237a7275.jpg

It's an inexpensive bubbler I picked up on iOffer, 18mm so I'm using a 18-14 reducer. Short- straight Air stem with a small o-ring to help seal and stabilize it. Very stable like this.
Warm water.....
I am very happy with my impulse purchase, even with the new lower price from PV.
It's a great unit.

On a side note, it gets 2 thumbs up from my wife. She can be a little skeptical of some of my vapes (Lotus mostly, she's not a fan of the torch in your face) but she is very comfortable with this one. Ease of use is outstanding. If it's complicated or difficult in any way she will simply pass. No issues with this one, even in the vapor bong setup.

A while back Sinclue his own self suggested some preformed screens, pricey by some standards at a buck each:
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-arizer-air.16415/page-96#post-730350

I'm here to say this time he is exactly right! Outstanding little guys, perfectly formed and trimmed round.

Exactly the right size, just enough 'spring back' to hold in place without having to distort it in any way. At a buck each, I think it's a bargain compared to fighting things to get mediocre results.

You know, I had the feeling that paying attention to him would pay off. I advise guys to get on board if you're at all interested.

OF what results are you finding using a screen vs not using ? I did not find much of a difference except that it keeps it a bit more clean. Also are you packing very small stems ? With the screen in like that there's not much room for material.

Actually that's not the case IMO. It's in the range I was looking for (about .125 grams, 1/8 of a gram). And it redistributes the load so more of it is near the walls (the core heats last and recovers slowest which it why it's 'underdone' compared to that facing the cup.

I'm rethinking that a bit in view of the modified e-nano screens I've been messing with, they end up a 'truncated cone'. That is you get a flat, full width load at the bottom of about .080 grams. The advantage here is this is basically a single session for me and being as it's mostly at a uniform distance from the heat, it tends to 'run out' all at once. No lingering on with diminishing returns, no questions, change the load.

One thing to avoid is a flat screen, they foul too fast.

Can't argue with such a wise old man

:peace:

Well, you can try, but it sure don't do much good.......

Better to be an wise old guy than an old wise guy, or so I'm told.

And not to cloud the issue, the original idea was yours?
