That just happened...
The arizer air is nice but it takes me forever to catch a good buzz that I can achieve in just a few minutes with the crafty or mighty. It feels like a futile effort. But thats because I consume to much herb I guess. lol

I do wish the Crafty had removable batteries, and they said it has pass through charging, it doesn't. You plug it in, and the battery still dies on you. Good thing I have my MFLB, this thing is so simple it don't brake. Only thing it doesn't work too well in extreme cold.

It's all in the reflexes.
@DMPesso the whole thing goes inside the ISO bath for 20mins, then I take it out and separate all the parts before putting the plastic and screen pieces back into the ISO for another 30mins before taking them out and rinsing the whole lot o-rings included in soapy water. Leave to dry and reassemble. No dry run or burn ins or anything I have just enough ISO in a glass jar to cover the parts and use the same batch of ISO over and over until its REALLY dark in color then make oil from it :D

My crafty is CY0021XX made in Germany :p This has been mentioned before but the serial number will fade eventually. To prevent this put a small piece of scotch/Cello/sticky tape over it, although the info is also on the App.

I have never had the pleasure of owning a Volcano or any other S&B product until I found the Crafty but I love it that much I am saving up for the Mighty. Then I should be set for anything! Mighty at home, Crafty for everywhere else!

I have changed my temps last few weeks and now going with 175C to start with a 20C boost.

Have you thought aboutg the plenty to go with your crafty? I've had one for over a year. I got it because I don't like the balloon style of the cano. It's a work horse man. Gives crazy huge rips. Its about 120 bux cheaper than the mighty as well. Vapecritic has a good vid. Plenty + Crafty = Baked

Got a crafty two months ago. Even though I only use it about once a week for a very small amount, I have to say it is the pinnacle of my cannabis experience. I had a volcano before this and while it was an incredible device, I do have to say that it was not well suited for my needs.

The crafty has been an absolute delight to use

I ordered the power bank and a cooling unit, and they sent me a cooling unit for the Mighty. I notified them, and my Crafty cooling unit is on it's way, no charge. They must be baked out of their minds there at S@B. :)

although the info is also on the App.
I don't think this is the case. Ever tried to access your Crafty's info when away from the vape? In the case of total failure, I don't think any info would be retrievable from the app. I may be mistaken.

I wouldn't recomend the Crafty, as it broke so fast, and with all the posts about units dying, this thing is like made in china plastic.
I've had plenty of cheap plastic vapes from China and I have to say that I disagree with the comparison to the Crafty's plastic. Night and day quality difference between the two IMO.

they said it has pass through charging
I don't think they ever claimed pass through use, at least not that I can recall. They do say it can be used while charging. There is a big difference there.

:peace:

Crafty Portable Vaporizer by Storz & Bickel - Vaped Canada

$399.00 - In stock
Crafty Vaporizer Open; Crafty Vaporizer Bundle; Crafty Vaporizer in hand; Crafty ... Luckily, the Crafty does have pass-through charging, meaning you can use it ...
See people are selling it on that fact.
Methinks we need some technical clarification here from either an FC resident expert or S&B themselves!

You are right, it discharges slower, there was a post on this. But there is no direct pass-through.

Thanks for getting to the bottom of this! I personally will be happy with a slowed discharge while plugged-in, considering all of the other stellar features and high-performance of this vape. Getting closer to pulling the trigger, finances permitting!

Wow mine is number 1658 so even older then yours and I only have 6 hours on mine. I have only had mine for one month. How is that possible mine is less then a month old and yours is 3 months old you said. How can I have an older unit and yours be way older

Reporting in with usage here: 30 hours and being used almost daily! Man I mist be a light weight compared to you guys haha

I'm really hoping the v2 will have proper pass through so it can be used when its completely dead. This way I can have true peace of mind, the disappointment of a dead crafty is heart wrenching when you need a nice toke

Hi Very high
@Stu sorry bud your right it only displays the serial info when it is connected to the crafty, without the connection all the info is blank.

@DMPesso I got my Crafty delivered on the 12th November so its coming up on 3 months old nearly. I got my unit from Vapefiend in the UK so dont know what the story is with the serial numbers though.

The problems with the heat/plastic breaking issues makes me think of the Pinnacle Pro thread and the issues that had not standing up to the high heats. I never had any issues with my PnP but never used it above level 3. My crafty has never been to max temp as I dont currently have access to my water tool. The vapor is too hot and dry for me. Under 200C and I am happy.

@Pjake I have looked at the plenty, does look like a nice device but I need something more low key and easy to put away after use. Thats the same reason I have never bought a volcano. Stupid fucking UK drug laws!!

I'm a Londoner and have my volcano pride and place in my kitchen.

When ppl ask what it is I just say its Heston Blumenthal's lastest infuser.

And when I had a plenty as my portable device I used to just carry it around as is, no case, no dismantle.

I found it was so unusual looking no one bats an eyelid, or they think its a power tool of some kind.

I would recommend a higher quality grinder than the S&B model. Personally I like the Santa Cruz Shredder. The shred is the new grind . . .

I agree. I purchased the 3 piece SCS after t-dub posted pictures of his Orange SCS next to the filling tool. That combo looked do nice that i tried to get Orange. They had a sale at my lhs and purchased a red. I think it makes a great grind for the mighty/crafty.

I'm a little worried about my crafty, its in the cy0050XX range and I'm at 20 hours of vaping at max temp.

I love my crafty but I'm baffled by some of the comparisons some people are making to the volcano. From my experience, the crafty produces about 70% of what the volcano does with the same amount of flowers. Which in terms of ratio for a portable, is about right.

I agree with you on the volcano producing more, it just puts out bags and bags of beautiful clouds. The crafty gives a different type of effect IMO, maybe not as much vapour but the taste is very similar to the Cano. I think this is what others are referring to when drawing those similarities. It's the closest to portable bags :) , that I've tried so far.

Also for the amount it takes to fill up that crafty oven, I'm always surprised at the amount of vapor it produces. My cano is a bit of a hog, but it's irreplaceable when not flying solo.
