Discontinued The Herbalizer

You can buy the same bags for the Herbies as you can for the Volcano and switch them yourself. I do, and they don't leak.

I wouldn't put anything on my Herbie that wasnt designed for it :2c:
With the solid valve, you just hold it in place on top of the herbalizer bowl. Nothing could go wrong and people have been doing it on here for a long time.

I don't use the solid valve because it's cheaper, I mainly use it because bags work better.

And The herbalizer easy valve degrades after a while and cracks

To each their own though

I most likely use mine less than the average person so I guess I don't see the problems that heavier users do.

The solid valve does seem to produce good results!

It's an obsession but it's pleasin'
I use soild valve all time it barely melts it. Just moves tad after I'm done I stick bowl back in an re shape it back.

I guess that works as long as Herbalizer honors warranties on Herbies that have been melted and reshaped a bunch of times.

I don't live in a state with medical an stuff. I won't ever be mailing it anywhere don't trust mailing something like that.

Sounds like you're probably fine then. Just wanted to mention that if someone's Herbie did show signs of melting, they might very well be denied warranty coverage by Herbalizer. That would really suck

I think you are right. I believe a dangerous mod like this will definitely void the warranty. No way I will ever do it, not with a $729.00 vaporizer that I can't afford to replace.

I don't use the solid valve filling chamber anymore because I'm worried about melting

you CAN still use the herbalizer filling chamber and the solid valve (minus the filling chamber) and no possible damage could be done

What do you lose by using the Herbie bowl? My guess is you have to hold it and you would have smaller loads. Can the Herbie bowl even hold enough to really fill a bag? Do you leave your herb in loose or do you pack it tighter?

Yes you do have to hold it there...
And yes the volcano filling chamber gives thicker bags quicker... But if my Herbie melts because of it, I wouldn't use it.
The herbie bowl hold more than enough to fill a bag, and pressing down slightly on the load helps to make thicker vapor (apparently)

I use a loose pack in my herbie bowl, then hold the solid valve on top of it when filling a bag

Much respect for a man who respects his stuff.

I am always entertained and amused by other members inventiveness:science:, and I even "jury rig" a number of parts myself:borg: when things are missing.....
but.. I tend to stick cautiously to OEM parts when they are available.

I feel like a lot of the tweaks that are posted can be very helpful and useful aside from the solid valve filling chamber, simply because it can cause damage. We are forced to jury-rig our own bags because they are out of stock everywhere. Also, in my opinion, they didn't work properly in the first place.

I still have all my stock bags because I don't use a bag often. I had no idea there were no stock bags available. I wonder if other accessories are scarce too.

I just don't understand how a company sells a product with a $700 price tag and wouldn't be able to afford improvements and fixes on current issues with the present model. Also, the bags should always be available for purchase. I don't get why they can't have these mass produced and checked for quality. At least have a premium valve setup for those who need to buy new bags frequently. The volcano bags are literally everywhere to find online.

Probably because they are a pretty small company, and fairly new. They aren't big like Microsoft/Apple, who have stores everywhere, and products widely available online. From what I have heard, and experienced, they take their time with this product, pay great attention to detail, and take pride in quality over quantity.

OK so if I want to try out the solid valve and use the herbalizer bowl what all do I need? I'm guessing I need this but want someone to confirm.

1 solid valve mouthpiece
1 solid valve housing
1 box volcano balloon bags

Is that it? I'm assuming I don't need a solid valve lip piece, solid valve filling chamber, nor the solid valve filling chamber insert. If that is the case then the cost is around 65 dollars to try this out for me.

You need the spring that goes in the housing ... It's wrapped around a metal cylinder

I don't think it ever get clean hole thing. I'd have to drop unit in rubbing alcohol to get ever bit clean.

I understand where a valve on the bag is needed but the squeeze valve can be forced by a tiny bit of silicone tube.
