People should be looking for local-sourcedly free-range hand-picked pesticide-free fair-trade artisnal all-cotton spheres...
:p

.....picked by teams of Maidens working silently by moonlight......

It's the finding more than one virgin at a time that makes it so expensive you know. Good show it's not a need for 'old growth, free range cotton'.

For sure pure cotton is important as some of the synthetics are not up to 400F. But 'the cotton bug' as well as the organic cotton market seems to be largely a sales tool (at least from what I can find).

Then again, how many bales of cotton did you plan to buy? If a few dollars more for organic makes you feel better about it, go for it. But IMO pure cotton intended for medical use is plenty clean enough.....

Soo...... We've probably got at least another month before we see them posted on the site

Can you give us any details about them?
They're on a boat, correct?
Correct they are on a boat. Unfortunately I cannot provide any details yet. I can tell you they are very simple but highly functional.

I wouldn't let the guys manning that ship hear you call it a boat if I were you......lest your container mysteriously go swimming some dark night......

They tend to think boats are small enough to fit on the decks of real ships and have since they were made of oak. Here's a fun piece of ship/wood history for you from a schoolmate who was from 'back East' and enjoyed old buildings. Seems that as a Colony any tree over 8 inches in diameter belonged to the King, reserved for ship building/repair. It too a lot of acres of trees to make a ship, and a long time to grow big enough ships and the never ending disagreements with the French had used 'em up back home.

Just after the Revolution there was a wave of defiantly cutting down the King's trees. If you find say a barn, or a foundation, with abnormally wide boards it's evidence it was made before 1800. He said you might find one as part of a stall in a barn, often prominently displayed, sometimes just part of the floor or walls.

Well at least it's fun to me.......

I remember before the Ascent was at Davinci, everybody was anticipating the release. We were hearing about the Ascent was on the boat, and then the it was stuck in customs. A week turned into a month. You never know when something comes from China, how long it will take?

Or wonder over to the Persei thread and try to follow through the whiling and gnashing of teeth over the serial, near endless delays. Including customs sending the whole lot back a time or two.

It's not here until it's here......and not really here until it's in your hands.

i feel the main issue with the ascent is the size of bowl. The standard mouth peice will ft snuggly inside a 14mm slide for a water tool.Davinci truly got me loving the vape world.I've moved to other devices but will always come back,I just need a big quntity of product cause I'll go through a lot.

I agree. Due to the way it works (conducting heat through the side walls) it doesn't lend itself to reduced loads. You need enough density so the heat will conduct through the load (light packing at least) and packing a partial fill down is a loser as well since this decreases the wall in contact with the bud.

A well designed spacer could fix that. As a guess, one that blocked the lower part of the oven (with air ducts of course) and the center section (away from the walls) would be the best. The 'hat shaped one' discussed a while back could prove 'just the ticket' I think.

Time will tell. I think it's reasonable to expect some pretty sound engineering to be involved, considering what we see in Ascent itself?

I will be anxious to try out the new spacer. I haven't heard of a price tag. Hopefully not more than say $10., but I wouldn't know what something like that would be worth. Did we hear if it's made from glass? I try to keep up on this thread.

I love trying out new accessories with my vaporizers.

I honestly would use it every day still if the bowl was smaller. The flavor I get in the beginning of my session iis equal or better than any thing out.

This is why I have high hopes for this. I think if we take out say half the volume, but are careful to leave the best/fastest to heat, we can get the same performance in a shorter time from less herb. What's not to like about that?
