Discontinued Haze Dual V3

When working with the sticky/honey/goo/oil to stay clean and mess free I get a nice dab on the tool I'm using and then heat up the tool above the dab. This in turn transfers the heat throughout your dab tool thus warming your material enough for it to slide/come off into your cans. Just get some pliers to hold your tool or some gloves so you don't get burned from the hot metal. :) I do hope this helps you a bit and it is great to hear that you are enjoying your Haze & welcome to the family.

Thanks for this! I assume a small butane torch/ lighter would suffice, but I always get concerned that I will heat it up to much and burn off some of that waxy goodness. (lol)

Thanks for the kind words and happy hump day!

So I'm now two weeks into my Haze ownership and mostly I am having a good time. The inside cover came off about three days in and, while I can put it into place manually, the one of the metal tops is coming loose as well. I have asked and hope the Haze folks will just send me the part so I don't have to do without my Haze. (I have retired my Persei Hercules and Omicron Kiss, thats hoThe question: Is anyone using a similar material and do you have some suggestions on how to fill the cans without making a mess of things?

Yes a lighter will work but I suggest one that is not of the bic nature as those will get hot/melt/burn you while you heat your tool. Anything with heat will work however. I am also all about no waste but no worries my friend you will not burn off any of the precious goodness. Just heat it up above the material with some space from it, not next to it. Do this little by little while keeping an eye on your material and you will have no problems.

Had a very good back and forth with Haze. The replacement rubber cover is on its way.

Coincidentilly, I also notice the solid & hollow printed icons that live under the swing cover to be worn off. I am sure that the issue I have with the rubber cover coming away from the swing cover is the culprit in this case. When it is affixed to the swing cover and seated properly, the placement seems to prevent the cover from closing tightly onto the body where the icons are screened.

The very nice person at Haze has given me permission to reprint her advice for beginners (like me) on using the Haze:

Please note that the low settings (1 and 2) is designed for people who enjoy the low temp vaporization. You will not see big clouds on those settings especially with the convection screens and the cans. Those are the good taste and the healthy vapor settings. The big visible clouds happen mostly with the conduction screens at higher settings. On the other hand, just because you do not notice visible vapor, it does not mean that you will not get the taste and feel the effects of your herbs though. That is the point of low temp vaporization.

There can also be a learning curve which will need some time for you to experience with your unit. How well you grind, how tight you pack, the quality of the herb, moisture of the herb etc all play a role in the outcome. As you get to know the unit, you will start experiencing and enjoying these more and more.

We always recommend:

-Loose pack
-Well ground
-¾ full chambers (max)

For more visible clouds:

-Use conduction screens
-Use setting 3 and 4
-After a cold start, once the unit is at temp (lights are solid), wait an additional 10-20 seconds before your first draw.

Well thats my report. Unlike my Haze, the "storm of the century" is living far beyond what's advertised.
Are you talking about the rubber piece that is attached to the 4 plastic things, the stainless steel bowl covers? I had my 2.5 for about a week and i went to pull the cover open to empty the unit, and to my surprise the whole bowl cover piece was sticking in my 2 bowls. i got it back in decently, but it still comes out every now and again. was just wondering if that was the problem you were talking about.

Ahh, I'm assuming my og model didn't have this issue because it wasn't stainless steel? When it gets sticky I'm assuming the steel sticks to things more than the rubber ones or whatever on the originals. Not to big of an issue, happy to see it wasn't a flaw in my usage.

Yo, fellas! 1st time poster, short time follower lol.

This appeared to be the most centralized talk about the Haze vape. I just got mine a week ago and have used it roughly twice a day over the last 6 days. Overall I'm pleased with the design and basic ease of use. I purchased it from Vaporseller and was told that I would be receiving the updated 2.5.
Keep in mind....I have never owned a vape until now and all prior experience has been pipe only and that all "experiments" below was using a herb of the same batch.

I've experimented with all screens, cans and packing techniques listed here. What I'm getting out of the vape is less than expected at this point though do not mistake my demeanor as I'm enjoying my purchase thus far . I skipped over setting 1-2 and went straight to 3 at which I get a mild, inconsistent vapor and typically bump to 4 after 2 pulls (call me impatient). Setting 4, of course, I get a more desirable vape but still with some inconsistency. From what I've read it's almost a tell-tale sign that it may not be the 2.5 though I stand on the salesman's word of what he was selling until I can come to a more clear conclusion.

First few sessions I tried using the convection screen on 3 and taking roughly 8 second draws followed by a "clearing inhale". I'm no mathematician; but an 8 second draw probably got me 50/50 (air/herb) with my lung capacity so I expected the vapor to be diluted. I feel I got better results using the conduction screen using the same technique but not by much. I moved on to the can only and no matter how hard I felt like I packed, I would almost always inhale debris at least one point in the session.

So I stuck with the conduction screen and started playing with inhales & temps. First few times I continued to inhale 8 second hits to form a "baseline" so to speak, and got the same results as before. I then tried inhaling the entire pull to lung capacity. I used a fresh battery and was able to make full rips without the temp lights flashing. Using this method I would get virtually no vapor though the inhales took a bit longer trying to breathe through a straw, so I imagine much may have dissipated while in my lungs. I also tried taking several small hits like a cigarette (I'd actually cough on and off with this method) which also lost some vapor in the process but achieved the same amount of exhaled vapor (by comparison). I'm going to call it ironic at this point but I also felt I got a better lift. This could be due to coughs lol.

So what seems to stay constant during my fun is: I feel the initial 3-4 seconds I get good vape and anything beyond that is not worth the effort no matter the setting. Am I missing a step? What should I try different? Should I not do something? Legit 2.5? Am I expecting too much!? I'm a sponge and all comments are welcome!

This is the main reason why you would not get a good consistent vapor. If you pack it too tight, hot air will not have a good surface to travel around the herb to vaporize it evenly. You should not pack too tight. You should not fill too much. Fine grind and loose pack should work better for you. Also once it is at temp, give it an additional 10 seconds before your first draw. Take short slow draws. This is a technique as well. Every vaporizer is different. There is a learning curve to everything. You should find your own comfort zone. Also, it is always more difficult with a FIRST vaporizer. You are used to combustion and now learning vaporization. Expectations should be totally different. I would recommend to give it more time and experiment constantly. Once you get the hang of things and especially once you try other vaporizers, you will see the difference between Haze and others and appreciate it even further.

We have any battery/charger experts? One slot charges faster or reads more correctly than the other. I put, what I didn't know was a full battery on the charger and it started charging. Out of curiosity I took it out and put it in the other slot and it showed it was full. They were seated correctly in place both times. Anyone come across this yet?

I have noticed this happen with my charger also. It is not a side specific issue, it is not a charge issue but more of a reading/feedback/placement issue, at least in my cases. What I am getting at is that sometimes the battery charger just does not like the position I placed my battery in. If you feel around your battery while pointed upright it has 2 kind of raised areas on it, try not to place your battery on those, this seems to raise it off the bottom of the charging tray just enough to sometimes register a full/false charge. This has happened to me a couple of times on both sides. Only when I was heavily vaped and just not paying attention to how I placed the batteries in the charger. When coherent I also like to wipe down the contact points on my batteries before I place them in the charger. So ..... to make sure I have good contact and a correct charge light reading I place the batteries in the charger a few times and even switch the batteries around after 10 minutes or so just to make sure those babies are communicating correctly with the charger. Nothing spells kill joy better than a planned wake & vape only to find out your batteries are not fully charged at all. Extra batteries good ....... no charge, very bad uhhg. :rant:May the charging God's bring you success. Cheers!

OK!
My most Beautiful Stealthy Midnight Blue Haze is here and it is all charged up.
Been charging well over an Hour after it showed Fully charged.
Right now going to go pack up a bowl and Test this Bad Boy out.
So excited!
Will let you know how my First Time results turn out.

I was disappointed with flowers on the Haze for a long time. Concentrates were great. Flowers were underwhelming. Now, I only scoop in a load, not pushing down to pack at all, up to about 3/4 in the conduction screen or can. Thorough grind with a 2 piece Space Case. That's the sweet spot for me.

I'm also really enjoying my Haze with Ed's WonG paired with the MFLB Orbiter. Winning combination!

These chargers are not digital so i can imagine that it measures the Amp within a range. You have 3 bars on it which shows you approximately when you will be ready to rock & roll.

Agreed hence the mention by Haze Technologies about letting the batteries charge for an extra hour after the initial charge on new batteries. This gets them into the desired full charge range. I always leave my batteries charging an extra 30 minutes new or not after all lights are a go. Great point!

Hi again all. I just ordered my second Haze, getting the Stealth Black this time. I considered just upgrading my current unit (a V2 graphite gray), but I didn't want to be without it for a week, and anyway I want to have a spare. I use mine all the time and it would annoy me now not to have one.

I have to say, this device is just awesome to use. It's easy to fill, easy to clean, does a great job of vaporizing dry herb without ever burning it, heats up in a reasonable time...it just does everything nicely.

I like to have a bowl before sleeping. With the Haze I can use it right in bed if I want, with no worries about catching something on fire. And if I fall asleep before turning it off, it turns itself off in a couple minutes anyway. It detects that I haven't puffed on it for a couple minutes, and off it goes. Very convenient.

I've found that my herb has to be quite dry for best results, medium grind (I use a Space Case), and tamped down but not too tight. Also, it's best if you don't fill the cans too full. I just use dry herb, in the cans. Works just great.

I should say that I'm not much of a cloud chaser. I don't actually want huge clouds. I use the Haze indoors, and I prefer to keep the odor down. Someone sitting right next to me on the couch told me that they could not detect any smell while I was using it. I think it depends a bit on what sort of herb you have in there. Some herb has a strong smell all by itself, without heating it. But using it in the Haze doesn't increase the odor, as far as I can tell. With my usual herb, nicely dried, there's really not much smell at all. If I sniff the unit itself, right up to my nose, I can smell it.

Anyway, even without massive clouds, I get plenty of effect. I find I like the effect of vaping much better than smoking, and it's a lot less irritating. I almost never cough at all from it. And there's very little residual irritation later, either. As far as effect goes, it's just great. I get plenty of the good stuff, and none (or very little) of the bad. It's win-win as far as I'm concerned.

I've had my V2 for a while now (2-3 months), using it pretty much daily, and it's just a great device. Yes, the stem gets sticky after a bit, but it's simple to clean, just takes a few seconds to swab out the air path and wipe off the stem with iso. If it won't drop right out easily because it's sticky, waiting a minute until the unit warms up does the trick anyway. I guess it's a 'con', but not a very big one.

I never clean the cans, I just scrape em out a little with a paper clip. I rub the tops with my fingers to dislodge any particles, and that's all I do. The rubber tops still look pristine, no warping. The cans have a little residue in them, but I can't taste any difference. I think you can actually make the rubber tops last LESS long if you clean them with iso all the time. I don't bother.

So that's my 2 cents worth. Great device. Great company. I love my Haze.

@ichibaneye
LOL That is Exactly what happened. My very first session with my new Haze got me so
Heavily Medicated!
I was so happy and couldn't wait to let you guys know how it went. But I was too Baked to do anything about it. All Night, LOL.
Seriously, I love:love: this freaking thing! I haven't been able to get this heavily medicated in a long time, Had that constant Grin from ear to ear thing going on. Was sitting on my couch watching TV and my body kept rocking like I was jamming to music. So I turned on some tunes and started dancing around, LOL I had a Blast! Felt so good and so happy!

The Haze designers are Geniuses!
The Ergonomics are great, making it easy to hold and operate.
The Mouthpiece and easy air-flow make it incredibly easy for me to draw big satisfying hits from resulting to a desired medicated state. Which I was not achieving from other devices.
I find the spoon scooper built into the tweezers so convenient.
The Midnight Blue Color looks really nice and masculine. Beautiful!
I enjoy using the cans the most so far with dry herb, tho still experimenting.
I notice a more mellow high with the Conduction screen and more of a throat hit similar to smoking a cigarette. Nice to have alternatives for different occasions.
I did notice dried herb coming up through the Mouthpiece to the back of my throat at first. My herb had been ground too fine. Almost powdery from using the metal grinder that came with my old wooden Magic Flight Box. So I found not grinding the herb too fine works best with the Haze. Problem Solved!
This thing is so user-friendly and convenient. It is Perfect, a God Send!
I truly believe so much Good Karma is coming for the Folks at Haze for touching and improving our lives in such a Beautiful way. Thank You so very much, Haze!

So I am very excited as I can see this Haze Vaporizer really changing my life for the better!
So again, I want to thank all of you here at FuckCombustion for sharing your experiences as that is why I chose to purchase the Haze in the first place! I owe it to you.

BUT.....
Unfortunately, I must have received a Defective Unit. The chamber on the Right the lights just keep flashing no matter what temperature setting. I even switched batteries with no luck. The lights never quit flashing and the chamber seems to reach the highest heat setting even when set at lowest temperature.
The Left chamber is working PERFECTLY!

So I am really Bummed and Scared I am going to be without the Haze if they require me to return the unit First and have to wait for a replacement to ship back to me.
I was so Happy last night and worried I will be so unhappy soon because I will be unable to reach such a Heavily Medicated state without my Haze. Like taking Candy away from a Baby.
Wow, really worried.
I just sent and email to Haze Support. Could not find a Phone Number for them anywhere. Hope to hear back from them soon. Feeling very Anxious!

Any of you know their Phone Number?

Well wish me luck!
Thanks!

Thanks for sharing. Don't worry about the lack of a phone number. The response time has been really really good- even on the weekends. Enjoy!

Congrats @BadAssTokeDude ! Glad you like the device as much as the rest of us!

Haze doesn't use the phone for service. They do everything through email so they can accurately document the issues/suggestions.

However they are generally very quick in responding. I have even received responses on weekends, holidays and at all hours of the night.

Have no fear, they will take care of you and congrats again! Welcome to the club and let us know if we can help!
