Mahalo, lwien. That graph supports your theory and explains the difference nicely. You're right that the LB power demand is way higher, it draws about 15A. The Powerex 2700s are the clear choice out of this group.

I do have to question the guy's claim about Powerex beating Eneloops by retaining a higher charge for longer. I have both and I can flat out say that the Powerex 2700s will be useless for the LB after a week or so, while the Eneloops are still almost like newly charged a couple of months later. Whether the Powerex 2700s still have enough charge to be useful for other purposes, I cannot say.

I have 12. 2700s and I've never had them discharge due to being idle... I use it numerous times throughout the day, so my batts are always getting swapped out and charged... Just only have the batteries you need, and they won't sit idly by discharging

I have four Imedions from my two LBs, and four each of Powerex 2700s and Eneloops that I bought myself. I keep the Eneloops and Imedions in reserve because they are both LSD, but I seldom have to revert to them. Usually I just rotate the four Powerex 2700s, and that's more than enough for my needs.

I have, however, had occasions when I didn't charge the Powerex 2700s for a few days, which is how I know they go flat. If I travel, I take the LSD batteries with me precisely because they hold a charge. The 2700s, meanwhile, are sitting at home draining. :(

Hey there Vito! Thanks for putting a soundtrack to your vid, it's much more entertaining that way.

As for the battery discussion, one of my Powerex 2700's has died, I lost one, and the last 2 are still going strong. I think I'll get more Powerex's just because I can't see going for more than a few days without being able to charge, and they just seem to give more juice for a longer time.

So the other day I was in the local computer shop and I saw they had powerex 2700s there, I was totally not expecting to find them locally here in Canada. I figured why not, I read so much about em before, I might as well grab em.

WOW is all I have to say, not sure if it's just the fact that they are fresh batteries, but they definitely breathed some new life into my box. It now runs hotter and also puts out a lot more vapor.

I wasn't expecting that all, considering that they should have the same voltage as the 2400s that the box comes with, but either way I'm in love my LB all over again.

So for anyone in the GTA, drop by your local Canada Computers, and you should be able to pick up some 2700s, they also had imodeon 2400s. They also had the C9000 charger for cheaper than I got mine for, and I ordered it online too. Either way, hit up CC to get some powerex batteries if you're in canada, well worth the 20$!

I now have 10 batteries (so manies) 4 Powerex 2700s, 2 Imodeon 2400s, and 4 from deal extreme which measure 2700mah, but are definitely not as good as the powerexs, but I'll keep em for emergencies.

Awesome man, thanks for that. Gonna checkout the CC downtown tomorrow!

Hi all!

I'm using the mflb for a week now, i'm in love! :ko:

With all the cleaning, the corners of the 'trench-fold' are coming up a little.
I now have to clean this space behind the screen with the brush, is this ok for the screen?

http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/5731/cornerm.jpg

After a week there shouldn't be too much to clean. A small dab of iso on the brush should really get you straight. After each use I gently blow debris off the screen and only do a full clean once a week or so. The only time it takes or needs more is if my grass is really on the sticky side.

Also, make sure your using 91% ISO. :2c:

mvapes,
Hey? Does anyone know where I could but some of those rubber battery caps locally? Now I totally realize why they are on there in the first place :(.

After vaping the stuff is everywhere in the box, sticks on the window and on the sides.
I use the brush gently on the screen and the corners, there was no need to clean it with iso yet.

No, I pulled it out :| (don't try this at home!)
On the picture you see the ring sticking out just a little, I thought that it was better to take the ring out and put it back again.
But it doesn't work that way...
I contacted Magic Flight and they send a replacement! Hooray! :)

Dirt or something molten?
that is what ozzzes out of the battery if you don't keep them covered. One of them was all sorts of covered in a white powder(I'm assuming how like pipe erode). Sucks now I can't even use my MFLB until I get those covers otherwise I'll just be ruining more.

Wow that's nasty was it because you didn't have the paper piece over the top? or from not having black caps because I don't use those and mine are fine

Even though once I set some batts in my ashtray in my car which apparently had coins in it and the batteries started exploding in my car

The paper rings around the top should be cosmetic, but the rubber caps are vital to keeping the goo (battery acid) from leaking out.

The caps should be an easy find at a home improvement store.

Just got my PowereX batteries in the mail today! It took me about 50mL of Goo Gone and 30minutes of my time but I finally cleaned them!

I'm not going to use them yet, waiting for my C9000 charger to come in (Thanks for the suggestion JDSupreme)

No problem you'll fucking love it!!

Yeah I would wait too. I would suggest running the break-in cycle on all 4 batteries. It takes like 2 days tho.

If you're really impatient, you could prob get away with charging 2 batts to use then break in the other 2. When the other 2 are broken in, run a break-in on the 2 you've been using.

Fun with that sticky shit eh? haha I miss the days of 2010 when it was a 1 minute job to do all 4 :(

Yeah, I have 4 different brands of batteries and never had to deal with any goo thankfully. Why are they adding a useless extra step to the manufacturing process anyway?

No, this is incorrect. There is no acid in NiMH batteries.

The paper rings are indeed cosmetic. The caps, however, are to prevent accidental shorting when something contacts the positive pole and the negative casing. In normal use only the bottom of the casing is exposed, but the LB requires that you remove the covering so the whole metal casing becomes the negative contact. Once they've been peeled, it's all too easy for accidental shorting to occur, which can cause the sort of oozing seen in those pics. It can also cause overheating to the point of nasty burns if you touch them.

You can also get that kind of leakage if the batteries overheat while charging, but that should not happen with the stock charger, or any good smart charger for that matter.

Im glad you contacted them because nothing there makes sense. I've put the stickiest of the ickies in my :mflb: and nothing more than a slight brushing is ever needed in a week. It actually sound like that unit may be getting too hot. Thanks to the people at BlissSville they stick to their warranty and quickly. They should have you medicated again via the box in no time.

Good luck... :peace:

Is the mflb with a whip better or without?

Some people are saying to not even use a stem?

Can i get wand hash if i use a stem - similar to that i get in a DBV?

Also anyone with both DBV and MFLB - can i use MFLB abv in DBV or vise versa - ie does one cook it less than the other??

is the PA worth it?

with my DBV i end up blowing out loads of vapour in my exhale - is that lost vapour? ie green vapes that should have stayed in me to get more lean

DBV is adjustable right? But MFLB runs hot, so I think no need to revape from both.

No never. They go from the charger to the Magic Flight tin that they provided me. Then when I am done with them I switch the 2 for the other two and do it all over again. I never had this problem until my buddy lost my battery caps.
