You really need to do an extraction of the bud first and you need more than a gram. I don't know the quality of smoke you get but you can usually count on a 10% yield as in 10g will = 1g of concentrate. More if your lucky or with practice. I use either butane or everclear. You can find a lot of info on extractions on the internet. Just be smart. Remember what you are doing is combustible. Its the boneheads that blow themselves up that give us all a bad name. Once you are done extracting you are left with anything between a thick oil and a hard resin. Mix that with Puff Majic and you will have some killer eliquid. When I mix 1g to 3ml Puff Majic I end up with about 4ml of eliquid that is about as strong as any bud I have ever smoked. And it lasts a really long time. Longer than the 10g of bud would have if I was smoking it.

As for one vs the other, both work great, but I definitely prefer Puff Majic's taste. And it just gives me a bit more of that smoked pot satisfaction that I missed with other liquids.

I am going to be getting some puffmajic solution soon to review, I will let you guys know how it works for me. I have used pure propylene glycol to mix up with bho with pretty good results so far, so it will be nice to see how a product that is designed for this purpose works. I will let you guys know with an honest through review.

Read about Puff Majic on here so I wanted to give them a try as Im not a huge fan of the flavor from Ejmix and you guys said puff majic might be better. I placed the order at the beginning of January.

Waited over 3 weeks for my order from Puff Majic. Contacted them asking where my order was and for a tracking # and they told me they assumed my order was shipped, (you assume?! Wheres my tracking info?) Wait another week and nothing., Try to contact them again and their email inbox is full. No way to email, no way to contact them. Filed a paypal dispute and they reply back saying something about customs losing my order and they are resending it...sounds fishy especially since I requested a refund on paypal when I filed the dispute but they did not bother reading my complaint. Instead they just reship my order and expect me to wait another couple weeks.

Not really happy with the customer service Ive had with Puff Majic up to this point, So much assuming.. and the person who replied to my paypal dispute offered no apology, no compensation, nothing. Just basically forcing me to wait probably 5-6 weeks to get my order and passing on the blame to customs. If I ever get my order i'll be sure to let you guys know what I think about the product. But as for their customer service, I think it needs some work.

Without a good customer service department Puff Majic will have a real hard time here.A lot of good people are on this forum and take this sh i seriously.It might be the greatest product on this earth But having nobody on the other end to talk to,I,ll be looking for another good product to use.Have a great day.Watsuni

Total bummer Phife. Everyone I know has had the exact opposite to say about them and I never ever have seen anything but awesomeness from those guys. Emailed them a bunch with questions and they email right back.

I just ordered a bottle yesterday cuz the dispensary I go to doesn't have the flavors. I had an email back with tracking # this morning. Tracked it and it already shipped.

That sucks that you had problems but I wouldn't count them out. Sometimes stuff happens. I order parts from outside the USA all the time and cant even say how many of those got F'd up. Talk to Mike or Steve. Im sure they will do what they can to fix it for ya.

I just wanted to give you guys an update. Mike from Puff Majic has been very apologetic about my order debacle and I did end up receiving a refund via paypal. Mike said he is still shipping me my order despite the refund so thats really nice of them. If I get my order of Puff Majic I will be sure to let you guys know and tell you what I think of it. I guess they are a fairly new company and are going through some growing pains, I hope i get my order and its as good as you guys say!

Sorry all i have not read this entire thread but i am getting ready to make some E liquid with herb using a 70/30 mix of pg and vg non flavored. I had a quick question concerning this. I have a few bottles of pre made flavored eliquid and was wondering if i can add some while cooking it for a bit of flavor ?

I've mixed eliquid flavor w the EJmix you have to experiment with consistency and flavoring but it works. If you add too much eliquid it could clump up the mix so see what works for you.

Im talking about adding a few pre flavored mixes to the heating process , wondering if thats ok ? The method i am using is a 70/30 mix of pg & vg with a large amount of avb , heating for 4-6hrs using the double boil method on very low heat. Than straining . I know its not the best method but really the only thing i can do at the moment.

I really dont think that will work, your using already depleted AVB, also I dont think PG or VG is a solvent that will remove whatever left over actives are left. Also, even if you did manage to get anything extracted it would be very very low potency..

All the ejuice ive made always used only very high quality BHO and even then ive had to up my BHO to ejmix to make it potent enough for me.

Update- Got it super fast. In the mailbox when I got home from work yesterday. Just got home and hit it and Im totally loving the Majic Bears. Has a tasty gummy bear flavor without it being a super heavy flavor like ecig juices. Im so far impressed with all of the flavors.

I also went the route of trying both.
The EJ was a much more straight forward order, and quick shipment.
To be honest, I have not noticed much difference in flavor.
So, I would probably simply continue to use the EJ and play around with my proportions and some flavoring.

They are definitely both good products but seems a lot of folks, me included, get a plastic or chemically taste with the EJ. That's why I tried Puff Majic. I have kind of learned a lot since I have been using the Puff Majic more and more. I was looking to experiment a bit and bought 2 g of shatter and did a "Pepsi Challenge" with some friends. They both mix equally as well but It seemed that everyone agreed that the Majic got us higher quicker than the EJ. It is interesting though that some of my friends can't taste the flavors so much and others find it very obvious. Think everyones taste buds are a bit different. FYI, if you haven't looked in a while they did change the online ordering for the better. They were using a form and it was kind of a pain in the butt but now ordering is built into their site and my last order was super quick.

Experimenting is fun, I read your posts and it sounds like you are having a good time exploring the ins and outs of extractions. Keep up the good work.

Using RSO (via EC 191, slow heat evap, basically original "RSO type recipe" (except highly manicured flower only), plus EJMix.

Saw back and forth on which to heat double-boilered first, and some different ranges on the ratio.

My Kanger EMOW Mega is due here today, and wanted to nail down a final test recipe to try. Thanks!

i havent mixed any liquid in a bit. ive just been using an RDA to dab straight shatter from. the last batch i made was 1part errl .5 parts ejmix. i also had some non-nic cinnamon ejuice that was free with something i ordered. i added about 5-6 drops to about a 1.3ml of juice and it tasted damn good. that was the first time i added any flavor tho. it used to just be errl and ejmix and it works flawlessly. i have never used puffmajic, but i do not get a plastic taste from EJmix.

my advice would be to do a 1 to 1 mix ratio. then let your coil saturate and give it a test. you can always pull it back out of the tank and mix in more errl later if you want a more potent mix. just be sure to keep track of where you are at so you can easily make it again.

Yes, I think 1:1 will be my starting point. EJMix calls for that on their intructions anyway.

Just made some BHO with some second run herb (qwet was first run). Followed liquidizers instructions to make some EJ with it. Since it was second run I only netted around 5% max on around 6 grams. I just went straight to the zero waste method (adding 3ml EC after initial hot water purge). Ended up with around .5 ml of oil (probably a little EC left there too). Following the instructions I added an equal part of EJ Mix (.5ml). So I netted a tad less than 1ml after final purge. The potency isn't too far behind the dabs of qwet from the same herb. Although I did have a small dab this morning so I'll wait until tomorrow and try the EJ first for effect. Taste is spot on too, well with the additional flavor of EJ mix and some other terps vs the qwet. I'll probably add a little less EJ Mix next time.

Stopped by the local vap shop to get some more flavored juice and grabbed a Troll RDA clone. I want something that has 4 post holes and a decent sized deck. Single/Dual/Quad setup. I'm more of a flavor chaser and this is more of a cloud rda (wide open air flow), but wanted something different from my other stuff. However if I barely open the air flow I get pretty damn good flavor.

Here is the first build. twisted 30 ga ni wire tension wrapped 14 times around a screw driver (no more m4 screw) in the cigamajig. 3mm readyxwicks. Great flavor and great wicking (m4 was a little big for the 3mm RxW)

Came close to getting a derringer rda (clone) as well. Want to have a mech mod setup small with the derringer for a low pro travel piece. Although I'm not sure I'll use the mech mod as I'm now spoiled by temp control. @2clicker, I'm with you I really hope Evolv can get temp control in a kick style setup. You could probably build a really small setup using the dna 40 and a smaller battery, but it would be a bitch to solder everything. Shoot my hanamod clone box is much smaller than I thought from pics. You could easily make it a tad wider and put the board on top of the battery. The dna 40 board has integrated buttons for fire, up and down.

This was the first time I got to re-use the RxW. It is crazy how well it cleans with the torch. Just like new!

i too covet the shortness of the derringer and have been holding off, but for $10-15 its tough to do. id like to get the one with multiple top caps. my hcigar/tarsius Prime is 83mm in 18650 mode. a derringer on that is going to be great for on the go. i like my prime so much i ordered a copper one. im going to swap a few parts between the two and give the SS one some color. vape nerd shit for sure.

Okay, I tried the EJMix at both 1:1 and .5:1, and I actually preferred the 1:1 a bit better in both flavor and in how well it vaped.

Setup I used (just got it today, and love it!) is:

KangerTech EMOW Mega (has a EVOD VV 1600mAh battery with variable voltage, EMOW Clear Atmoizer 2.8ml capacity rebuildable).

I didn't fill the tank with more than 1.5-2.0ml of mixed oil/EJ.

I am still going to try and tweak out the settings a little bit. I seemed to find just below or above the 3.8ohm mark on the variable voltage was a "sweet spot", but not consistently. I felt like I wanted to keep playing with the dial to get something "different". And that sweet spot changed a bit with airflow (it has 5 holes you can uncover/cover with a sliding ring to regulate air intake), but I just ended up leaving all the holes open for now.

But it seems to be on the verge of an awesome vape, and I am SO glad that I can simply mix my RSO (which is not particularly known for its vapeability) with EJMix. Since I also use RSO sublingually, it means I can have ONE method of processing plants -right into RSO, and use that as my base for everything. I guess that IS the point, but it still blows my mind!

Anyone using RSO/EJ and a similar rig?

I have been using an emow tank for the last week or so. Really like it. I run it wide open and do a slow direct draw into the lungs. My battery is almost always set to 3.8 but I am using an Aspire. Should be similar though. I have been getting pretty consistent results but have noticed that the emow seems to drain my battery a little faster than the Aspire tanks I have been using. But I haven't had any leaking and that is what I'm most concerned with.

I tried mixing some RSO and EJ a while back and it did mix up ok but couldn't really get past the taste. Between the taste of EJ and the taste of RSO I couldn't do it. I ended up giving it to my brother. Maybe next time I make some RSO I will try mixing it with Puff Majic. I think the Majic flavor might make it a bit better for me. It is ideal to be able to use one substance in several ways though. I'm all about the simplicity for sure.
