Hey fellow solo fans - I have returned from New Orleans where the solo had so much fun and was a true champ.

Do have a troubleshooting question for you all

Have any of you had a solo that just stopped beeping?

She's working fine - but she has stopped beeping. Does this mean anything?

I do have a blizzard coming

LIMom
It means you turned the beeping off. Turn it on, once it's idle, hold the left button for a few seconds and it will beep again. Mine is off, I don't like beeping. I don't even use ringtones on my phone!

Well sellers always lie to sell their products, I don't ever believe what they say. But I ordered mine from Vapeworld, are they a authorized retailer for Arizer?

Well I went to puffitup.com & spoke to someone through a chat named ''puff puff'' Seemed hard to work with, unfriendly & took extremely long to respond so I got tired of it & went to Vapeworld.
I don't know about their webchat, usually we just email Randy directly. He's really prompt in replying, his thread http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/w...ndly-vaporizer-store.4113/page-31#post-728671 is full of happy people, and even a few unhappy-turned-happy customers. Not everyone's out to get you. He's at the bottom of the site for a reason.

I don't even (use) a cell phone. Although I do have one in the car 'in case', and a charger 'cuz it's sure to be dead.....

What's the old joke? "When we were young, we had to sleep 3 to a bed!". "You had a bed?".

Not everyone's out to get you.

Not so sure about that. Remember, no less a sage than Doctor Johnny Fever (WKRP in Cincinnati) says, "but everyone is out to get you, paranoia is just good thinking". Words to live by, that.

You know, Q man, you're often a fount of straight lines, but IMO tonight you're in fine form.......

Thanks, I feel better now.

Well I don't know who Randy is or how to get a hold of him. It would have been helpful if I could get a hold of him before I placed my order but I will try to contact him with my future orders & see for myself how their service is.

What's the difference between the pvhes stems compare to ed's wooden stems? Does the wood stem make difference in the taste? Is the wood harder to clean and maintain? What's the main benefit to buy a wood one beside durability? Would the wooden stem more efficient like the shorty turbo?

I believe Randy is the proprietor of PUI, +1 Randy and PUI , I have had a great experience buying here.(apologies if he is not the owner)

PVHES is glass Ed's are wood, PVHES has more airflow, wood is more durable than glass, taste is very subjective, but most will say yes, different taste, different maintenance, difficulty is again subjective.

I am not familiar with the Turbo stem, but I LOVE my SOLO:tup:

Is there any portable vaporizer that can be plugged in & used at the same time & that's better than solo?

Do you guys prefer straight stems vs the bend stem more? Do y'all like black vs the silver solo? What do you guys prefer more and why? I'm just curious to know...

I always prefer a black vaporizer, but that's just me. I like the look of black and it's more stealth IMO. I like a bent stem.

Try reading through other threads regarding different vaporizers. There was some buzz about the Crafty and the Mighty if you want a portable. I like the Air the little sister to the Solo.

The best vaporizer doesn't exist yet.

EDIT
I agree try a desk top such as an Enano. The Solo is my fav vaporizer as of now.

I use the bent stem with an EQ "balloon" mouthpiece extension most of the time.
In public I go with the straight stem in a cup.
When I first bought a Solo I stressed over which to buy, I went with silver.
Now I have both colors. One charges while the other is in use. What a dream.
Wake and vape today with a Blueberry-Sour Tsunami blend .

Amen on that! Stay warm and dry. And as the Scouts say 'be prepared'.......

But I love the 'keep 'em beeping' idea. How about we have a collective beep at a given time, say 4:20 Valentines day? East Coast time? Or some weekend day? See how many 'I'm beeping' posts we can log in say an hour?

I'm thinking it might be kinda fun to tell jokes about the guys that don't join in........

Bluebery-sour tsunami blend?????
I gotta get the fck out of Tx!!!!!

But, but....but I thought with Texas should have great choice, low price and abundance. You know, having that long border with the criminal source of the international narco drug police cabal controlling "ALL" of the pot seducing our sons and daughters at home to sail away to fairy tale cities in sunflower skies...

...so can't you walk the Texas desert collecting the discarded bales that were too much for grapefruit calved wannabee dreamers? You can name the finds as you like; say "Deserted Desert Dusted Destroyer".

Actually, I wonder how some of that Mexican brick weed of my early years might taste toasted today in my Solo.
Some blazed and remembered, tasted of the dust of the earth of several nation's farmers' fields
Meanwhile, back in Texas... the city square of downtown El Paso is where I scored 'Thai Stick' one memorable story back then.
Or was it my "friend"'s story.

Here's my old darkroom timer, now a Solo timer:

solotimer.jpg

It charges for an hour, then I have to reset. If I take it down to no lights showing, it takes two cycles(2 hrs.) to charge to seven and stops before the green light goes solid. I have yet to charge all the way to the top(solid green) for longer battery life. At this point I never charge while using to avoid that "charge to the top". I do run it all the way down to solid red(:bang:) once in a while. Not as elegant as OF's system, but it gets the job done.

so ive owned my Solo for about 3 months ad in that time have come to love it, i doubt i will ever go back to burning but i have found a rather unsettling side effect. Let me start by saying its not the solo or vapeing in general but i have come to the conclusion that i must be allergic to the wood the Ed'S TNT stem i bought is made from, perhaps once it gets warm it releases a tannin in the wood or something? it seems whenever i use the stem i spend the next 1-2 days feeling well....poisoned. This has now happend 3 times and each time i can rue out everything but the stem. I use the glass stem or my PV gong fitting and a pipe and its all good. I will also say the the quality of the Ed's stem is awesome and i do not blame them or think there is an issue with them however it seems its just not for me.

I was wondering if anyone els has had an experience like this?

Funny, a friend and I were discussing this sort of thing over lunch today, only about narrowly defined seafood allergies. Based on what you see there, I'd have to say it's entirely possible. More so, likely. If you can smell it, then there's absolutely the possibility you react in other ways, even below the level you can smell in some cases? The point is 'it's in the air' and you're breathing that air. I'd suggest stopping doing that......

Any problem eating walnuts?

Not to get too off topic, took my bro-in law to eat seafood this passed Sunday and he broke out in weird marks and rashes. Bro-if you're reading this, sorry.

For SOLO talk, I just mentioned in the Air thread how I just might make my SOLO my unofficial portable/desktop plug and play. The Air feels to be living up to the hype.

That's is weird but my brother is the same way. He lives in New Orleans - can't eat shell fish ever. I have a really nice Ed wood adapter but I just seem to prefer my PVH overall

I am curious - how much smaller is the Air from the Solo. Is it the same size in height but just thinner. Randy from PUI it so great - is ther some kind of sale going on? Am I getting VAS sickness because I really shouldnt do this. I really wish my pax and pulsar pen were a little more reliable. The most reliable is the evo xhale but he's so much harder to take out, plug in, heat up and turn over. But if I get the air is this something you could use in a music club because all I see is people lighting the Vape pens.

So do you have a EQ too? I recently bought one and I'm disappointed because how much material it uses compare to the solo. Yumm blueberry sour dream with solo? Damn bro you are living the dream!! LOL

The Air is a little taller than the Solo but way thinner. The Air is a little less than 4 inches around.
