Hey @OF , can you list all the user functions I've missed in this post, like, the beep on/off deal ?
I would, but I'm not clear on one thing.

To start the AIR at your favorite setting, turn ON then press and hold the down button and your setting will appear. Very handy. It also remembers your settings even after a battery switch. It also works while charging.
When charging, the lower green light will flash and then go solid when charged.
When charging while vaping, the lower light will be light blue while heating, normal blue alternating with light green when at chosen temperature setting. Full charge will not be achieved while vaping.
To turn on/off the beep, well, I finally turned mine back off but not exactly sure how.
Could you explain the beep on/off, and any other light indicaton/user mode available on the AIR?
There are clearly more colors shown, such as a light green and a sky blue, along with the normal green, white, yellow, blue and red.
If left on vaping while charging and timer runs out, a yellow upper light will flash. As I've mentioned before, I think this is a sign of an error or otherwise non-charging state, as it did not pull voltage from my inverter while exhibiting this behavior.
After maybe 3-5 mnutes, the unit resumes charging while off, with lower green blinking light while charging, solid when full.
So I've got it all down 'cept the beep on/off, I saw a post explaining it, but can't find it.....

Luvin' the fresh AIR !

P.S. (edit): Didn't include battery level indicator system, as mine doesn't have that...

OK, seeing the video, mine definitely does NOT do that.....
So GUESS WHAT
I wonder if I'm the only one, maybe so, as my idiocy astounds even the best of minds......
Well, after using the Air for a while I began to break down the box it came in (from PIU, but I assume stock packaging), the white cardboard box part isn't just filler.... it's got the official carrying case, and an opaque/white-light blue-ish silicon skin ! Ha, ha, ha. All that AND an extra battery all for a hugely discounted price !!! Randy at PIU amazes me.
So, using the silicone skin, I've realized what one poster said in this thread earlier, the re-heating of the chamber is almost instant. MUCH faster than without the skin.
My question is, well, OK its holding in more heat so it stays warmer, but, do you think any harm can come from blocking the chamber vents with these silicone skins ? I'm assuming it just stops as it achieves the right temp...

Also, I came up with a different carry pack for my Air than I showed you all earlier. This was a case I previously used with my Solo, which I am now going to barter away. Loved the Solo, and, would love to have a backup in case of Air troubles, so I'm on the fence about lettin' it go.
In any 'case', here's an image of the Ryot case I use to transport my Air, and all I need for a vaping session proper.
There's room for more batteries, and I WILL be getting a couple more. Also thinking of a black silicon skin, to match my black Air.
This Ryot case can be found here, and it's lasted me literally years, got it in 2011, and it has held up thru many beatings and rough times.
Here's a pic of how I have it set up:

air-case.png

The black jar is my UV-proof cannavis container. To the right, the Arizer Air. US power supply is in pouch.
Includes metal grinder, and four stems, one with an O-ring for the PNWT. This case has all I need for a session.

Here's how the case looks closed (comes with lock, key, 2 zippers, and a handle) :

air-case-closed.png

This Ryot case closes easily with all those items, keeping them all from moving. Exterior is hard case with silicone padding.
However, now that I got the official carrying case, might change the game up a bit between my eGo case I posted earlier (click here for that post), and the belt carrying pouch that (surprisingly) came with it !!
Ahh it's good to breath some fresh AIR....... :brow:
Hey air fans - I must confess that the solo was awesome for my trip to New Orleans but I'm gonna need something much smaller for Mardi Gras and that picture above is so tempting. If my pulsar was a little more reliable I wouldn't want the air so bad. From what I can tell there is going to be a terrible vapor pen outbreak for carnival

My favorite head shop in Nola gave me a very good price on a little baby bubbler so I don't have to bring that back and forth. How is using air with a water tool attached to it? Did I read somewhere that PIU already has this device for a better price. Do I sound ready to start my t-break tomorrow?

thats my main problem, the exp. when i bought MFLB it was hard to understand it but after i got it and used it, once i used it for few weeks i only kept getting head high which wasnt helping me at all.

i really want to buy the air but if im not getting 100% what im vaping i dont even see the point (why i stopped using MFLB) reasons why i asked if this makes big clouds like a joint/bong would do and the type of high you get out of it if its body/head or compeletely head high only
Honestly, I love the air but you might need a vape that can get a bit hotter and get closer to combusting without combusting. The air is fantastic and it CAN give you choking hits like bongs/joints (especially through water) but it takes some technique. Same with any good vape really.
I would, as a former combuster and owner of both, recommend a pinnacle pro dlx.
Could be a better route for YOUR needs.

Did anyone order from puffitup and get an extra battery? Or am I tripping? I swear I read it somewhere and can't find it..

I don't mean purchasing an extra battery
Yea, extra battery and a 170 price match..a few others took him up on it same day (maybe a week ago or so?)

I think the Lady just nailed it.....again. She does that a lot you know.

I'm the wrong guy to ask about colors, I'm OK with on or off, but not colors. Sorry about that, but trust me you don't really want any advice I can give.

So I just lost the oven cap for mine somewhere the other night while stoned. Not sure where it could be but I hope to find it :( I was trying to see if it was possible to order another but it doesn't seem like it is.

I wonder how necessary it is. ....
Me either, so I made sure to buy one today. I don't wanna risk it

That's how I justify every vape purchase

It's not really, depending on how you use it it's even a nuisance. More so on Air than Solo (where the cap doesn't stick out past the body when in use).

I took mine off during burn off, before the first use. It's in the box in case I change my mind, but based on my Solo experience (no cap on my 'main user' Solo either) that won't be happening I'm thinking.

Just be sure the oven doesn't fill with pocket fuzz or spider nests before use, you'll be fine.

Arizer Air Aficionado
Hi guys :)

I am new to the forum and new to vaping!

Picked up my first vape, a Arizer Air on Saturday :)

I am quite an active person and regularly going out so want to be able to charge my vape more portably.

Has anyone with a little electrical know how figured out about charging from USB?

For charging my iphone on the go I have a Anker portable power charger that can output up to 2.1 amps. However it has smart / variable charging so it picks up what the device needs and charges it max rate.

What do people think? Has anyone tried? Can you get a cable with a yellow ended power pin on one end and a USB on the other?

Thanks :)

Mom, the best price is with Randy @ PIU. I would strike while the iron is hot, as the hot price will most likely cool to normal retail soon.

As for water tools, while the PPWT works nicely with the short capped stem, it can be seen for miles! A shorter version, or one in parallel configuration with the Air would be less dorky.

Expect someone will come up with an AWT which matches well with it soon.:2c:

Now, to prep for the Blizzard of 2015, to feet of snow, silent snow

@bluenavey00 if you can't find one on the market, you could possibly splice your USB=> cord with Air compatable plug; or an adapter, possibly. Radio Shak? Actually, I think having an extra battery, or two, is an simpler option.

I been using Panasonic 18650b's with no problems at all , i usually go about 4 sessions and than take it out before the voltage gets to low. I honestly feel they heat quicker and better than the stock battery for me. Now this will void your warranty and Arizer does not recommend it at all so do this at your own risk .

The official Air car charger from Arizer appears to be USB cable with correct end for the Air on it.

But to me it would be easier to just carry an extra battery.

Try leaving your herb out over night , it's prob to wet and that is why you are getting these results or your machine is not heating properly .

My herb is definatly not wet, i get like half Oz a time and store it in glass jars, its really dry lemon. Having used it a bit more since im getting better results but it still doesnt produce anywhere near the amount of vapor that my eq connected to my water pipe does. How far do people press the mouthpeice into the chamber of the air? i found that if i press it in all the way so the bottom of the mouthpeice (which has the weed in) touches the heating element, then when i take a hit i pull the mouth peice out a slight bit (to get airflow through) ??

Yes, we went through this a week or so back. This is the test cable I used to test this idea:

It works fine, but just charges more slowly due to the lower current ability of USB ports.

That's how I see it, both ways. Here the adapter provides full power (will charge normally, faster than from a computer USB). Another option is one of those USB 'power banks' for cell phone charging.

Right now the cable to fit Air is the issue, I had to make one. I'm currently trying to find one 'on line' (I've got a couple coming for evaluation) and hope brother Pipes will rise to the occasion, he can easily put this together for us I think (he's done a great job of this sort of stuff with Solo).

I have the model that was delivered with the short glass steam that had a mouthpeice and a longer glass stem without one. I can confirm after a full charge i turn my air on and the green light flashes once before turning blue to confirm full charge, i will see what the colours change to as the battery decreses and let you know

Thanks for yet another confirmation. IMO it's clear that there are two versions, and, as a rule, the short all glass stem (rather than a second longer plastic tipped on) goes with the newer version with the battery level check? While there might be some few exceptions (probably from 'change over'?), but that seems a useful rule? OTOH, once again serial numbers are not a useful indicator of version, that is we can't identify a serial number identifier.

Other than the battery indication there seems to be on other difference between the two types.

Anyone disagree with that? TIA

I'm unsure, as I'm pretty positive I have a newer model with battery indicator but it's one short plastic tip one long solo like stem, no plastic tip.

That would, I think, exactly fit the pattern I suggest. Old models (without the indicator) had two plastic tipped stems, one longer than the other by about half an inch. Newer shipments, with the indicator, have one short plastic topped one, and one longer all glass one.

Thanks.

Well. I got one tipped stem shorter than the other but no battery level indication (I didn't get the solo full glass stem like other did around the same time though).
