@Ghosts If you still smoke joints often you may not get the most out of your vaporizing experience. You need to stop the smoking for a couple weeks for your brain to register the difference. Depending on your technique you can get bigger clouds and a tastier flavor than the MFLB.

When you fuckcombustion you will notice a better experience when you vaporize.

You will be able to experience the different flavors in the herbs that you are using. Also you will notice a big difference in your health.

I believe I'm in the same exact boat as you fellas.

Still would like input on best ripping upgraded stem.....

That reason, I think, is because there is no best. Too personal, to subjective. All the topic brings out is the same old opinions from the usual suspects. The only useful answer can be 'what's good for you'. You're the only guy that can decide that.

Keep in mind this ain't blazing. No extra heat is generated in response to a heavy hit, in fact quite the opposite. Fight it, rush the draw it's designed for and you're going to get less vapor produced. The maker knows about this, he's designed in restriction he describes as "balanced". His term. As a practical matter you can only go so far since you can't change the four holes at the bottom (where all the air now enters the system unlike Solo).

That said, go for it. PVHES Turbos are probably your best bet for biggest increase (in volume per minute, at lower density). The available boost is less on Air, of course, due to the better stem seal. This has been tossed around a fair bit, the general advice is to not to try to force the vape to do something it's not designed to do ('don't force it') I think?

Oh, yeah, you might seriously consider Ed's stems, they too have little restriction, but if you pull to hard the vapor thins out same as always.

Then again, I'm a MMJ type, perhaps one of the resident cloud chasers can offer better advice?

can anyone comfirm if you get clouds like you would from a joint/bong? and how is the high? when i used MFLB i only felt more head high than body (i would like 50/50 or a bit more on the body high side.

I think you're wide of the mark here. This is not really a vape specific question, it belongs in the 'ask FC' thread where it'll get proper attention and not sidetrack us too much.

The short answer is 'it depends'. The two are very different, but can perform in similar manners sometimes. Generally you 'tune' effects by temperature, but you need to get some of the basics down first I think. That should be done in the general topic area?

And, as has been said, to play this game you really have to swear off blazing at any level for a short while, then after a little longer you'll find it so revolting you won't want to anyway..........

Regards and good luck.

Bought mine the weekend it first came out the serial #A1z0A80230. I get a quick light blue flash then the idle blue, then goes to heat when I press again to lowest level white. I see no battery indicator. Mine came with the two plastic tipped mouthpieces with the threading one short and one a little longer. It also came with a Solo straight stem.

Great, I think we've basically got it. It's real, seems to be mostly time related (new guys have it, guys with one plastic and one all glass stem for the most part). I think I may have misquoted my S/N, but the format above is right, it starts A1Z0A as well. But 'earlier' numbers are later production? I think the serial number is once again (like in Solo) not to be counted on at this level?

I'm (in my simplistic way) looking at this as the first flash of standby is either always blue (no 'meter') or color coded on the first flash (only) for later versions. Does everyone agree with that definition? TIA

You guys seem to have missed the video I posed a page back

Thanks Bro, I saw it and still can't play it for some computer reason.

thats my main problem, the exp. when i bought MFLB it was hard to understand it but after i got it and used it, once i used it for few weeks i only kept getting head high which wasnt helping me at all.

i really want to buy the air but if im not getting 100% what im vaping i dont even see the point (why i stopped using MFLB) reasons why i asked if this makes big clouds like a joint/bong would do and the type of high you get out of it if its body/head or compeletely head high only

A lot also has to be said for the different strains of herb you are using. The MFLB has a learning curve. The Air is much easier to use. The MFLB has the battery that you need to insert every time you draw. With the Air you sit back and enjoy your vaporizing experience.

Maybe you need to try a log vape, such as the Enano for home use or even the Solo? A log vape is a hard hitter.

On MY Arizer Air, the so-called 'battery indicator light' does not ever change color on mine. Always a brief flash of light blue (as opposed to the dark blue), then the.....

Please share your experience along with the 1st 4 digits of your serial number, located on the box it came in (mine is A1OU)

That brief flash of light, Colonel, are you sure it is blue? I have an A1OU version (serial # on box, and bottom of unit) from an FC member, and it flashes
GREEN.

Not that it matters.

@OF what if you fashion a monocle, or loupe, red filter. Would that help in discriminating red/green, in a pinch.

If it works, you might be helping others who are also challenged in that part of the spectrum. Just sayin.

Then I'd look like a clown with a red monocle. Now people have to get closer to figure that out, it might help them. Or I could be mistaken for a space case from a 3D movie perhaps. Neither is much help, to be honest I generally do just fine since it doesn't matter what color a tree is really. It's only when some fool man made thing makes it important.

Filters only work well sometimes. In the red LED case there are only 3 wavelengths in common use IIRC, all fairly close together so a single broad cut bandpass filter passes all 3. Not so all reds.

To be honest, you're way wide of the mark WRT to what it means I think. Which is only natural.

Before I was correctly diagnosed (my teens) I was just stupid when it came to colors. Ask anyone. It's a very broad area, I have a fairly minor case of the most common type, lots of research but aside from picking your mother more wisely I guess, being born female is your best solution.

I'll be quite happy when shortsighted engineers stop designing them into things without thinking about such things.

Thanks for trying.

Again, I think that's a question that belongs in the other thread. We're going to be far from objective, and it's not really the topic for this thread. You'll get better results there.

Regards.

Sometimes it comes down to personal preference with a vaporizer. What someone else likes may not be something that works for you. The only way we can get our info is from others, there's no way to try out a vaporizer unless you have a friend that has one that you can try.

The Air is a well made vaporizer that is quite stealth. It still produces a smell, but you're not going to get around that anyway, vaporizers smell way less than combusting though. It doesn't use a lot of product and it does a nice job of medicating.

You can get all that with the Solo at a way cheaper price but you don't have stealth. The Solo has a longer vaping path so it's not as harsh as the Air. You can use a Solo stem with this unit.

The Air works really well with water tools, that's a plus and so does the Solo.

Getting medicated with a vaporizer verses smoking a joint the head and body high is better, and you can taste the flavor.

Yeah @stark1 ,it's LIGHT blue. Like if you're heating while charging you get light blue and dark blue.
Definitely light blue.

Dude, the A1OU here flashes GREEN.

In the other hand, the other, the A1AOB, ALSO flashes GREEN, as well.

So, quien sabe? :\

PS Blue, and green, are very close to each other in the visible spectrum, so in-a-very short-flash
one person may think they see blue, another green. Often referred to as the "blue-green" color. So,

Mine came on christmas eve, with 1 mouthpiece small stem and all glass air stem without mouthpiece. It has the battery indicator.

I get more body high from higher temps (Red)... but its harsh, should hook it up to a water tool or get a longer stem to make better use of it.

OK, seeing the video, mine definitely does NOT do that.....
So GUESS WHAT
I wonder if I'm the only one, maybe so, as my idiocy astounds even the best of minds......
Well, after using the Air for a while I began to break down the box it came in (from PIU, but I assume stock packaging), the white cardboard box part isn't just filler.... it's got the official carrying case, and an opaque/white-light blue-ish silicon skin ! Ha, ha, ha. All that AND an extra battery all for a hugely discounted price !!! Randy at PIU amazes me.
So, using the silicone skin, I've realized what one poster said in this thread earlier, the re-heating of the chamber is almost instant. MUCH faster than without the skin.
My question is, well, OK its holding in more heat so it stays warmer, but, do you think any harm can come from blocking the chamber vents with these silicone skins ? I'm assuming it just stops as it achieves the right temp...

Also, I came up with a different carry pack for my Air than I showed you all earlier. This was a case I previously used with my Solo, which I am now going to barter away. Loved the Solo, and, would love to have a backup in case of Air troubles, so I'm on the fence about lettin' it go.
In any 'case', here's an image of the Ryot case I use to transport my Air, and all I need for a vaping session proper.
There's room for more batteries, and I WILL be getting a couple more. Also thinking of a black silicon skin, to match my black Air.
This Ryot case can be found here, and it's lasted me literally years, got it in 2011, and it has held up thru many beatings and rough times.
Here's a pic of how I have it set up:

air-case.png

The black jar is my UV-proof cannavis container. To the right, the Arizer Air. US power supply is in pouch.
Includes metal grinder, and four stems, one with an O-ring for the PNWT. This case has all I need for a session.

Here's how the case looks closed (comes with lock, key, 2 zippers, and a handle) :

air-case-closed.png

This Ryot case closes easily with all those items, keeping them all from moving. Exterior is hard case with silicone padding.
However, now that I got the official carrying case, might change the game up a bit between my eGo case I posted earlier (click here for that post), and the belt carrying pouch that (surprisingly) came with it !!
Ahh it's good to breath some fresh AIR....... :brow:

I find I cant start on red and red is harsh. But what really helps is if you start on blue and just slowly go up in temp, cuts back on the harshness.

Did anyone order from puffitup and get an extra battery? Or am I tripping? I swear I read it somewhere and can't find it..

I don't mean purchasing an extra battery

Hopefully this works better:

Thanks. After some fiddling I was able to view it. I see some 'bleed through' of light on the lower LED, but assume we're talking only about the upper one. Yes, I can clearly see a different colored flash first in the video but not on my unit. There's a difference I can see. From the choices given (green, yellow, red) I'll vote green, but it's surely not blue like mine is.

OK, seeing the video, mine definitely does NOT do that.....
So GUESS WHAT
I wonder if I'm the only one, maybe so, as my idiocy astounds even the best of minds......

Yer not alone, IMO there's definitely a difference. That function is not on mine, either. Still be nice to find that guy with one in each hand.......

A1ZOA bought Monday after thanksgiving
Definetly not what I see in video only light blue light at start up.

Me too, same S/N block, ordered from Arizer 11/28. It's starting to fit a pattern.......

Thanks guys. I wonder how much this "first addition Air" is worth.....big premium in books for that......

Maybe in 'the real world', but with LEDs there are only 3 specific colors, very narrow in their spectrum. Red, blue or green are all that's allowed, and a single shade of each. The exact shade of each can change from LED to LED (several 'shades' available of each), but after you decide on a specific type that's fixed. To get 'blue-green' they'd have to light both the blue and green LEDs, which they may well do. The basic 3 colors can't be changed, all that can be done to 'get all the colors of the rainbow' is to vary the amount of each of those 3 colors.

For one of us to see one color (say green) and someone else another (say blue) from the same LED, at least one of them has to be color blind to some extent as I understand such things. And he doesn't know it until tested or someone convincing points it out to him. To put it in other terms, the lights transmit in digital but we see in analog (in terms of perceived color, intensity is different).

I'll settle for 'a short, bright flash' and not sweat the color? We're all, I think, talking about the same event/indication.....no matter what color we think we see....
